That really makes one go quiet. R.I.P. Dan. You really left the Lego community a wonderful legacy.

I've visited LegoWorld yesterday, together with my son and my dad. It was amazing, last time I went there was 8 years ago. Saw some great MOCs and offcourse took some photos. A few of them will be visible in my Brickshelf account. When the folder is public, they will be visible here. Also had a really nice chat with Lego Designer Jamie Berard! Off course i couldn't leave without a Lego set, so I bought the new Excavator and my dad gave my son a nice duplo set: Petrol Station Can't wait 'till next LegoWorld...

6 hours? thats also not bad! It took me 8.5 hours to complete the Bridge! But I didn't build the two Towers together, first one and then the other
-
Ah ok! I'm building one tower at a time, pictures of building my Tower Bridge can be found here: Brickshelf Folder (when made public off course)

Received my copy yesterday! That box contains a lot of parts! Opening the bags really annoyed my wife... She couldn't stand the noise... Anyway, started building and after 2.5 hours the bridge deck and the first half of a tower was completed... There really are some nice and amazing building techniques used in the TowerBridge.

I've ordered my copyright this morning. Can't wait!

I'm going (for the second time, last time was about 10 years ago...)! On Monday the 25th of October, together with my son and my dad. My son doesn't know it yet, it's kind of a surprise for him. But tickets are already on my desk! Does anyone know if it is possible to buy Lego Exclusives on LegoWorld? I know that a toyshop has a stand there, but I suspect them to only have the regular items.

Building the spaceshuttle is finished! I've also made some photos, although these are probably very recognizable. Someone asked a couple of pages ago what it would look like, placed on the back of the Lego Boeing 787 Dreamliner, and since that one is also in my possession, you can see for yourself how that look likes in my Brickshelf folder when it is made public. The pictures are a bit large (excuse me for the quality, iPhone was closer than Canon camera...) but here's a direct link to one of them: SpaceShuttle DreamLiner

Bought the 10213 spaceshuttle à couple of days ago, and it arrived today already. Was a bit surprises, normal shipping and still so soon?
-
My SpaceShuttle arrived today! Now only if I can find the time to build it...
-
Thanks for the info! I looked this morning and the status then was still 'available in July'. I've just placed my order, let's see how long it will take to arrive...

A small update, at the end of this month the VIP Program will be extended for more countries, including The Netherlands. In the Lego Club magazine sent this week there is already some info on how to register and that Dutch customers will be able to use it with their online purchases

I don't think the bridge will be motorized, somehow I don't think that fits the Exclusive range. But I sure will be saving up for this one. Never regretted buying the Eiffel Tower and this will probably look great next to it! (although I don't think it is the same scale)

Ok, that line says a lot to me...

Isn't it so that promotional sets have different set numbers? Vestas was 4999, the 10xxx numbering seems to be 'reserved' for Lego Direct/Exclusive sets. If we look at it from that angle this set is more likely to be a scoop for a coming Exclusive than a promotional release for Maersk only.

I was thinking of buying one of Bricklink, but now... I think I'll wait until it is released :)

D2C Designers requesting feedback for 2012 models
astra replied to CopMike's topic in General LEGO Discussion
1. No 2. Individual 3. A cathedral (Sagrada Familia) or perhaps the Acropolis? 4. I would like to see a UCS-like oil-rig, a UCS-like International Space Station and/or a new supercar without PowerFunctions, just technically very advanced 5. None! -
My wife bought me the limousine and helicopter set (3222). That was a nice suprise coming home from work yesterday
-
I'll be buying this set and already have the Dreamliner, so if I don't forget it, I'll put it on top and take a picture of the combination for you

Personally I think the size of the windows compared with the rest of the aircraft is very good, the real SpaceShuttle also has very tiny windows compared to the rest of the ship. Although the Lego SpaceShuttle isn't really minifig-scale then
-
And out of the blue came a Space Shuttle! Not the most detailed design Lego ever produced, still a great way to commemorate the last launch of the Space Shuttle. I'm so getting this the moment it is listed on S@H! Very curious on the fact if there are any 'moving' parts, Lego tends to make some things happen, even in the Exclusive range. The Beetle also had opening doors etc, so I can't imagine the bay doors not opening or at least placed on a moving platform (with caterpillar tracks?) Guess we just have to wait until someone puts some detailed photos online or has a chance to buy it earlier than the rest of us

Thanks for making this thread! Very interesting, for some time I was wondering if there was any relation in set-numbers, now I know there is. Sort of.

LEGO Store opening in Wiesbaden, Germany
astra replied to Whittleberry's topic in General LEGO Discussion
That's nice for the German public! I'm still hoping on a Dutch Lego store... -
I ordered 10210 and 10211 today. 10210 is on backorder, 10211 is in stock, can't wait until S@H puts them on my doorstep!

I can't decide wether this looks any good. Too many movies or series had remakes the last couple of years and the only one that was good enough to watch (at least I think so) was the Dukes of Hazzard, because they didn't try too hard to make the movie part of the series if you know what I mean. So yes, I like watching the A-Team, but don't know if I am going to like the movie...
