  1. It's nice to see that in the Dailymail article the comments are in Brickarms favour. And the sales going up uncontrollably is hilarious! Just out of interest, even though the articles claim the minifigs to have "sparked controversy", what action has actually been taken against BrickArms, if any?
  2. Makuta being evil dictator of the MU is reason enough for the Ignika to go all big-life-drain on the MU. However, I'm pretty sure Mata Nui's spirit will be ejected out of the Ignika once Mata Nui makes himself a body, 'cause his spirit shouldn't be in an object in the first place, and Greg said that Mata Nui would die if he made himself a space incompatible body whilst in space, implying that his spirit would become linked to the body, not the mask.
  3. Wow, that's ridiculous. The Sun article really took that minifig out of context, and slapped on a pointless one-sided argument. I may be wrong here, but when a terrorist minifig like that is labled on it's website as a "Bad Guy", doesn't that give the impression that terrorism is bad, not good? And when the article talks about the small little minifigure being sold on a website only shop for 14 whole dollars, how can the article then deduce that the product is aimed at kids?
  4. 4)I heard somewhere that when Kopaka & Tahu where putting caps on volcanos they made up can you confirm this? 4) I would say they have a mutual respect for each other. I think Greg interpreted it as "Did they become friends again?".
  5. Hopefully LEGO won't try and pull a purple on us with the brown too. Anyway, with the 2008 joints, I find that they go together well the first time, but if you take them apart again and MOC with them, then they'll break. Therefore I find myself building the sets, and leaving it at that. For duplicates that I get, I keep all the non socket joints, and sell the sockets. Works well.
  6. As shown in the past, the brown sets no longer have a fixed colour, so there isn't too much reason to stick with tan for more than one canister. Gold is probably a very strong possibility for Mata Nui, and is the one I'm hoping for.
  7. Someone in the 2009 Official Sightings Topic said they saw them in a shop, but didn't get any....
  8. I think that Fero was a Stone Agori, but left and became a Glatorian. Simple enough right?
  9. I've already got the sets, and the McDonalds ones are interesting because the pieces are changed and simplified so that they can be a solid figure. So, they could be useful. Very nice story info there about EP coming from the GB Planet. Although it was kind of obvious, Greg saying yes is always good. So far it seems like the GBs warred over their planet for the EP, but destroyed their planet in the process. Some of the survivors built Mata Nui using EP to fuel the creation and operation of Mata Nui so that he could go to other planets and observe them. From here, there are a couple of things that Mata Nui could be doing. I'm tossing between finding and preparing (ie, removing local wildlife/inhabitants) for a new planet for the GBs to live on, or finding other GBs or some important item that got lost from the GB planet. There's also the possibility that the GBs blew up there planet into the smaller planets of Bara Magna. the EO and some others and seek to put them together again, but that's a bit far-fetched.
  10. If Gorast's wings have any compatibility with normal lego then I agree with you - I'ma getting a Gorast or three. If the wings have the same shiny holographic effect of the real gorast wings, then I'm gonna get a Gorast for that as well. Either or, even though I'd prefer real lego promo sets, I'll probably still try to get them seeing as they're always good reference for art and what-not - the previous action figure McToys resemble the BIONICLE game styles quite nicely.
  11. I think he's allowed to say a bit more now that there's only a month to go. I'm still really confused about how the Glatorian thing works. Are there more than one of each element Glatorian (aside from Skrall)? Are all Skrall the same or at least are there multiples of the canister Skrall? Will the summer sets be Glatorian as well because TLC is budget and cutting name legalisation costs? ( )
  12. Wow, I want that Vader. I might actually get a Star Wars set just so that I can get that Minifig...
  13. Wait, you know this how? If it is though, that's the one I want!
  14. Battle packs don't really have a purpose outside of SW and Caslte though - in the city lines, it's the vehicles and buildings that make a lego city a city, not an army of construction workers. (Although I never thought that a civilian "army" pack could hurt...) Anyway, those sets were released a long time ago, and I'm not too sure if they sold well enough for TLC to do them again. The star wars ones were good for obvious reasons, but the City ones are just ordinary workers that come in many other easy to get sets.
  15. Meh, Makuta could end up putting them to sleep there to keep them out of trouble.
  16. Thornatus would probably be some kind of beast that is very spiky. In a gladiator fight, as epic as giant killer plants can be, they are rooted to the ground, so that takes away playability for the target audience straight away, especially for a large set. And a walking plant is not a good idea.
  17. Racist? I think you're on to something.... Personally, 2009 is so good because it's new in a 2001 kind of new. The story is new, the sets are new, and even the movie style is new! (Different producers and fancy motion capture acting)
  18. Wow, the sets do look good, but the rock monster isn't as bright as I hoped it would be.
  19. Chances are that Mata Nui isn't gonna look too standout from the rest of the summer sets. From a story perspective, he's a mysterious alien that nobody knows about, and he has an uber powerful life mask with him. And I think it's been confirmed that the Ignika would be of desire to the Bara Magnians, so there is no reason for Mata Nui to advertise himself as being a great spirit with a legendary mask.
  20. The Ignika can be hurdled from the MU with atmospheric flame around it and not be burned to cinder so I think re-entry on Bara Magna and landing on cushioning sand seems reasonable enough.
  21. Looks to me like they're owned - they're on a carpet floor... Speaking of that picture, it's good to see that the link up seems to have been ditched, cause there's no way they could justify mixing Tarix and Berix's colour schemes.
  22. Vezon had a purpose in 2006, but he lost that at the end of the year. Back then he was insane and a guardian, but now he's just insane. He has no obvious purpose (apart from bad humour) and he's tagged along through 3 of the 2008 serials yet he hasn't done anything really useful. It'll be nice to see him die. :pir-skull: At the very least, proving you've got a set works better by showing something new, like the back of the sets or the pieces themselves.
  23. Now it begins to get painful for us. They posted a picture proving they have the sets, whilst telling us nothing useful. At least take a picture of the back if you don't want to open the set!
  24. I think the purpose of Vakama looking like that is so that kids don't want to buy him. They had to show him for storyline reasons, but they had to take precautions that a 4 year retired set wouldn't look cooler than the ones the comic was supposed to be promoting. (Then again, they had just killed Matoro, so they weren't doing to good at that time...)
