  1. I think that we can all agree that it's a good thing that there aren't any islands in the hip area. Seeing as Metru Nui is the brain and Karda Nui is the heart, I think LEGO specifically tried to avoid labelling another island/place as we know what. ;)
  2. If they're to be printed on transparent decal paper, won't the indy shirt and butler shirt be transparent?
  3. THANKYOU! Please post that at BZP so they can understand! I've been trying to explain that exactly, only some of them never get it! The only potential problem is that Karda nui needs to be dome shaped. ;)
  4. Gali's foot looks like an Avohkii as well...
  5. Thanks for the good review, I might try and find this set myself someday. You've mixed up the pictures for the back view and front view though.
  6. Chances are Makuta has made super rahkshi of some sort. Vahkshi - The new law order of Metru Nui.
  7. Great thought and possibility on the issue of Makuta's reign. Greg said on BZP that there wasn't any reason for him to actually kill the Toa, but I don't think he actually said straight out that Makuta wouldn't. He done these things in the past, so I presume he might do it again because it would make the state of the MU more critical, we are leaving next year, and killing the main characters of the MU would make returning to it in story however many years later so much easier.
  8. That conversation seems to offer that Mata Nui goes to sleep during observation doesn't it?
  9. Should be. It's almost the end of Monday for me.
  10. No, it's the one where Takua goes around Mata Nui and gets the Toa Stones to make the Toa Mata arrive on Mata Nui. It's set just before the MNOLG.
  11. No, just their culture mainly. I think one of the main issues would be that kids in Europe and America would become accustomed to the Maori words through BIONICLE, and would associate the rich culture, language and religion of Maori to a toyline. Also, LEGO would've been making money on the Maori language, which is kinda taking advantage of them.
  12. Another great module, and I like how it will (or should) be able to connect to the dungeon for extra convenience. However, I think the flame torture method seems a bit strange, as although the idea of torturing is to inflict pain, being cooked in the process is far from ideal. Maybe it could be better if the torturer set spiders, scorpions or rats on that prisoner. Or, for a slightly comedic alternative to contrast the otherwise grim module, the torturer could use a feather-tickle method on the upside down prisoner. Also, as a slight afterthought, the hanging dead skeleton shouldn't have hair, because there isn't any skin for the hair to be rooted in.
  13. Couple of things - the Maori language is far from dead, and many of the words that LEGO tried to copyright were standard Maori words for things like fire, people and stomach. If some toy company started copyrighting your everyday language and making money from your culture without your consent, wouldn't you get a bit angry?
  14. Since when did we have reviews of preview boxes? Nice review though, considering that it's all you've got. I hope you update it properly with the rest of the set later.
  15. Quest for the Toa was the only fully canon game, aside from it's in-game naming issues.
  16. Wow, that Witch Hut is definately interesting! I like the wings at the top. However, how is the witch supposed to enter or leave the hut? It's a story too high.
  17. Yes! I think I'm eligible... Count me in please!
  18. Ghost definitely knew that the MU was in Mata Nui, but they still had the commitment to make Mata Nui look cool. That comes first over the map. The way I see the map is simply that the distance between the islands is greatly and inconstantly scaled. The shape of the islands are correct, but an accurate map wouldn't fit on two pages, or it would need to have very very small islands.
  19. Huzzah! I love how these answers that are slowly popping up seem to prove more and more that the Great Beings are so great. One was driven mad by the Ignika, it's own creation, and now they're stealing inspiration from already existing beings. I really do hope that it turns out that they are/were a bunch of extremely scientifically smart, but completely mortal and otherwise normal beings. It would be even better that they were outcasts or villians, and only praised by the Matoran because of their ignorance. It would allow for such storyline deepness.
  20. Just a thought, and anyone with the latest Pirate sets should be able to answer this - is the new tan the same as the old tan?
  21. Wow, I just realized that Skrall has a Black Matoro Blade as the hilt of his sword.
  22. Seeing as the Ignika is returning with Mata Nui for 2009, I'm really putting my hopes on a Gold Igninka for the Summer Canister Mata Nui set. Sure, it's not a new mask, but most who know that it isn't will know how cool it's powers are, so they shouldn't mind. On the universe map, it's basically showing Mata Nui's arms, chest and head right?
  23. Why do all the people who see early content have no idea what it is about? Surely wouldn't they go and research about all that is known about 2009 to draw conclusions about what what they saw means? If any of us saw the early content, we'd have a step by step explanation of everything that could be deduced from the content.
  24. More importantly, I hope someone that can get them will be willing to post some to me in New Zealand. Unreleased LEGO sets make great Christmas presents.
  25. Mmmm.... Lovely High-res: Here, here and here
