Is this the smallest RC PF car motor we've had so far? Because judging from the review that's in this forum, it would make a pretty good minifig RC car/truck wouldn't it?

Box difference between US and the world
Brickthing replied to Motti's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I know that the US boxes require all that information on the packaging, as well as additional more visible warnings, but I'm not too sure why the non-US boxes don't have it. It would've been easier just to have the US box internationally right? IMO though, I prefer the non-US editions, partly because they're the main ones I can get ( ), and because they look better, because the pictures are obstructed as much by extra writing. However, the piece count is a useful convenience that I miss out on when shopping. -
Chances are that LEGO will find a way to greatly reduce Mata Nui's abilities until they're non-existant like other Glatorian. You can't expect 5 Canister sets to be powerless fighters while the other Canister set has Life-bending abilities. My best bet is that the Ignika's life powers only work on Protodermis or MU based beings. Still, I can't help but think how win it would be for Mata Nui to enter an arena and instantly kill/disable his opponent with the wave of a hand. I love Tarix's weapons too, even though I don't have them. I suspect that they'll make an awesome dorsal fin for a Pit Brutaka MOC.

Team Beta Community Build MOC's
Brickthing replied to I Scream Clone's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Wow, great work darkagent! I like all the designs on the floor, and all the extra details you added. However, I'm not too sure why the King has shields of the heroes of the most recent Knight's Kingdom sets...There should at least be he scorpion shield then. -
Malum is also really short like Kongu, which is okay unless he's next to Agori or other Glatorian. The weapon that I thought looked similar to Mata Nui's armour is this one: When Mata Nui arrives on Bara Magna, it makes sense for him to blend in with the locals. Seeing as he's in the desert, I presume the first local he's going to see is a Vorox or Zesk, so he'd probably model himself of one of them. Of course, I presume he sees another local to base his design of as well, otherwise he'd have a tail.

Pointer: Qualitiy-measuring of your minifigures
Brickthing replied to Bricks's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I never thought of telling if a minifig was used or not through that method. But doesn't it just measure how much the head has been turned and swapped? -
I dunno if this was pointed out before, but aren't Toa MN's shoulder things Toa-sized versions of one of those cool playset weapons?

The no-other forums rule is mainly to protect the younger viewers from sites like EB. With BZP being the biggest fan-site of a kid's toy line, they need to keep the content 8 year old safe.

I don't see why we can't use all hallways. All of the hallways have the same basic structure and modularity, and they're all the same colours, so they would all look good amongst each other. Just as the other modules are different from module to module, why can't the hallways be so as well?

The purpose of impulse sets is a cheap little LEGO toy that a child can convince a parent to get for them while they're shopping. It also serves as an advertisement for the larger and more pricey sets of the theme. It just so happens that the Pirate and Castle impulses are good army builders, but I doubt they where meant for that.

But it's 2009 already!? Some retailers make no sense.
-
Wait, so they have them but they're not giving them to you? Just explain to them that you want to buy some of them, and you're not going to buy any other LEGO set or Knex or etc, so if they want to make a sale from you, they should go get the sets you want for you to buy. It's their loss on a sale if they don't, so unless they're really stupid employees, I can't see why they can't get a couple for you when you ask.
-
I think that some of them sell really well, like the Good Wizard promo, but others don't. Right now, after Christmas, Impulse sets make up the majority of the sets that are left on shelf in shops near me. I like them quite a lot, and recently picked up 4 of them for my new bedtown, but judging from the amount left in stores, I don't think they sold as well as they should've.

My Country sucked last year. All but one of the toy stores that I went to over the year didn't have any summer titans apart from 1 or 2 Jetraxes and Axalaras that sold out right away. Yetrax failed to show (as it did in most countries), so I'm going to have to pay for the shipping of one online.

The ungodly boring part was the loading times. So much in fact that that's just about all I've done on MNOLGII

2002 was quite clear - Takua had a Bohrok symbol dream, there was a sign saying "Beware the Bohrok" in Matoran, and Takua encountered the Bohrok at the end. Most of the other clues were found on the Wall of Stars prophecy thingy I think.

A Great Spirit sized statue?

It better not be an alt Mata Nui.

Wow, I come back from 1 week of holiday and I find 3 story updates, 1 new comic, no Taka blog updates and 20+ new pages of this topic to read through. I especially love the map of Bara Magna, which smashed GS parts all over. It seems that GSs have a habit of crashing into planets, and this GS wasn't as lucky in that his planet was hard, unlike Mata Nui's water planet. I'm positive that the GS landing on Bara Magna was the Cataclysm of Bara Magna, 100,000 years ago. Probably also what caused the GBs to build a new GS, MN. What I don't understand, is how you can crash into a planet. They're so megablocking big and easy to see, so why can't you try going around the planet instead? I also like the BiA update where Mazeka decides to bring the good Teridax to the real universe. Chances are though, that Greg's just gonna have The Makuta kill Teridax without a single thought. I didn't like the DiD or DW updates as much though. In this DW, we learnt nothing new, other than that the Bohrok will shortly commit mass suicide by trying to clean The Makuta's face from space. ( ) In DiD, Miserix's death was too cartoony, and Teridax attempted a failed joke through his method of killing. Making the Hagah crazy is almost as bad as killing them. Brutaka, Axon, Keetongu and Helryx's fates were good though. I think Teridax was wrong in saying that Mata Nui had no companion - Mata Nui had two Glatorian didn't he? (Only I think Mata Nui forgot to feed them )

EB Community Castle Build: Discussion Thread
Brickthing replied to I Scream Clone's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
The windows on this one are a bit too big - we don't want minifig's falling out of the castle now do we? The other hallways are looking good though, and I suggest that you try and make some colourful stained glass windows for the hallways to break the greyness. -
Urg....The BIONICLE prices are horrendous. The new small sets are 50% more expensive than last year ($15 instead of $10) and the larger sets are also $5 more expensive, becoming $25. I seriously hope that's an error, because that is way too expensive. On the other hand, the BBQ stand impulse is great, and the minifig collection is only $15! The battlepacks where $25 for 4 minifigs, but this is only $15! Definitely getting a couple of these!

Dooku's Ship on S@H Is this newish?
-
It's called Christmas Jinzo All the shops near me only stocked the 08 impulse sets, the dwarf catapults and the mail vans. ^*$&^&$#. The Agori are $15 and the Glatorian are $25. (NZD) = BAD
-
Lol, I was just on Brickshelf and a set picture of Mata Nui was on the front page. LEGO doesn't seem to be trying very hard to cover them up do they?
-
Y'know, with this reaction to badly posed limbs, I think I'm going to review a set someday with the pictures posed as bad as possibly. I may also build the set incorrectly and had "The set is designed badly" in the cons list.
