  1. They're ice cream scoops : Sidewalk Cafe
  2. I think the 2002 larger sets were in winter.
  3. In 2007 they counted. And I agree then that they were bad. In 2006, each character had individual head moulds, but in 2007 there were about half the amount of heads recoloured instead. To make things worse, a couple of minifigs didn't even exist in the story, and one had the wrong head shape even when the correct one existed in other colours!
  4. There are plenty of recoloured parts on Skirmix though, like his head, jaw and feet.
  5. I think he's only been released in shops in the UK so far, but I'm sure he's avaliable over S@H. People just haven't tried too hard to get him yet I suppose.
  6. Aside from the person who posed Fero really badly? Yup, he's been forgotten.
  7. I think the whole "compare the masks to see if they're the same or not" thing is becoming a bit extreme. Whatever happened to "Warning: Things in promotional images may appear cooler than they are"? Bottom line is that we can't really tell until we get some proper photos of the set itself, at Toyfair.
  8. It wouldn't. That's the problem if it's a new shape. Matoro will never wear a Golden Ignika like he did in the comics. THINK OF MATORO TLC!!!1!

    City '09?

Couldn't the Wind Turbine Transporter transport the kind of turbine for a plane? Surely that would be more appealing to a kid than transporting part of an eco-friendly power maker. Also, there are LEGO planes to attach a turbine to, but not a LEGO Windmill to attach that kind of turbine to.
  10. Still, I'd prefer a new head to a new mold, otherwise the new gold Ignika won't fit on Matoro. :(
  11. Maybe you should use lime-green studs for the tennis balls instead of the transparent ones? IMO, the bats are tennis rackety enough without the decals. If you're going to be using them on a LEGO tennis court, people should get what they are from the context.
  12. Ooh Yayz, Mata Nui has a Ignika in gold. IMO, I'm much preferring the gold variety, since a "stable" Ignika of this shape has been teasing us since 2007. Plus, getting a gold Ignika gives hope that we'll get a black variety of the same mould some time in the future. The blue eyes are awesome, even though his GS form had green eyes, and I'm liking the notion that the eyes are shaped like the Metru-eye look. Of course, with it being a promo image designed to make Mata Nui cooler there would be no promises, but it raises the potential of a trans-light-blue half-eyepiece doesn't it? .se = Sweden. ... I just zoomed in on the Ignika, and there is trans-light blue showing behind it. So it's a glat head.
  13. Was it the golden bars flying out of the yellow thing attached to the bad guy's ship that gave it away?
  14. Blarg, my topic finally about Mata Nui on the map finally got closed. It had a good run though.
  15. Good, I was beginning to worry you'd never stop! Great modules though, I love all the detail in them, like the cat and mouse. Just remember to leave some for everyone else!
  16. I'm pretty sure it's this one:
  17. Cool, I'm liking the looks of the new pictures. The alien is a proper non-cheesy minifig, and the space police have a police like colour scheme! My only doubt on the sets right now is that it looks like there are a lot of stickers on that hotrod.
  18. Yeah, I but Tarduk's arms like that too, because he looks less bestial that way. I dislike it when joints bend the wrong way, especially on Radiak. Pro about the reuse of Av-canisters; 12 different Av-boxes stacked in 4x3 or 6x2 look awesome. (Sadly though, the BIONICLE on the sides of the boxes go different ways on the 08/09 versions. )
  19. Don't get me started on S@H shipping to New Zealand. I annoyingly just noticed that Tarduk's front and back images have different builds.
  20. Why not? Like Jinzo said, LEGO would just need to take a bold step to remove the war element of BIONICLE. There would still be conflict, but it wouldn't have a supreme evil behind it.
  21. From the perspective of the Matoran on Mata Nui, I'm sure they could've got it wrong, as they had no experience tracking nearby space objects while in Metru Nui. Besides, that moon of the EO isn't Bara Magna, because the Red Star orbits the EO, but can only be seen faintly from Bara Magna, so the planets are a way away. However, it's still possible for the EO to be Bara Magna's moon, because Bara Magna appears to be waay bigger than the EO if you compare the sizes of Mata Nui and the broken GS to the planets.
  22. I'll PM you. I agree with this mostly, although I'm sure there would be many more beings on Spherus Magna aside from Agori, Glatorian and GBs. Using the knowledge that no Glatorian have personally met GBs, and the hints about nobody having travelled above the Black Spire Mountains (from BIONICLE.com) and that nobody had travelled below the peaks to the south (from BiA 8), I think that the Black Spire Mountains divided the Agori and Glatorian from GBs and other species.
  23. We could always saw the unwanted ball joint off.
  24. Zesk can't look up. That's probably the main difficultly in making him look even cuter than he is.
  25. I would be great though if we had some more side stories based on non-war driven situations. In 2006, 2007 and 2008, the local Matoran were struggling to survive in difficult and interesting environments. In 2007 especially, it still would've been super interesting and been able to provide good sets if the story had focused on the Matoran learning to survive in their new underwater environment, with a balance between encounters with the sea rahi and struggling to mantain order in the underwater cities. No enemies involved, just the natural hazards of the local wildlife. It could've had great Aqua-raider like playsets, with a Matoran trying to defend a patch of airweed from a giant sea-rahi trying to eat some Hydruka, or a scouting Matoran trying to get some treasure guarded by a territorial sea-monster. The Barraki or The Pit needn't have existed, and the Ignika could've appeared in the second half of the year, and choose some Rahi as guardians, that would then start becoming even more hazardous to the Matoran, and the Toa would arrive and struggle to defend the Matoran from the Rahi, whilst trying to get to the Ignika.
