  1. Also, you could consider what modules are next to the module that you're making in the Castle Map. If your module is next to one that is most likely not going to have bricks right on the edge, then a little bit of overlap might be ok. Although, considering that the modules are supposed to be as modular with each other as possible, it might be best to try and avoid overlap as much as possible.
  2. Goldilocks was there? That just made this MOC 10x awesomer, even though it was already super awesome. Where is the porridge and the baby bear though?
  3. Post spoilers now, then scan the pics when you have time.
  4. I would think that only overhangs from higher up would be better, because if we do assemble some of the castle, straight in front of the modules there would be a street wouldn't there? If there are ground overhangs, then they would get in the way of the street...Of course, seeing as it would be a long time before we can assemble a decent portion of the castle, I presume it would be OK to have one or two overhanging modules, as they can always be fixed later.
  5. Freedom of what? You should change them all to "I truly can't live life without it!"! Great Wolfpack Embassy Thrash, although I would've thought that the classic faction embassies should be in more of a classic style. (I know my Falcon embassy is...)
  6. Answer: Once you get bored putting the treads together, you know you have too many.
  7. Looking closely at that picture, it looks a bit to me that the spike alien is in the other front pod...It would make sense for a set this size to have quite a couple of minifigs - maybe 3 aliens and 2 or 3 police?
  8. The more recent closing was caused by people going off-topic too much, even after the topic got renamed into The Official Greg Dialogue topic. Pencoin's closing was halfway through last year, and was caused by him posting spoilers under the username of Zesk. On another subject, I just discovered the purpose of clone-brands like MegaBloks! They're made so you can tell on online auctions if the person selling has any idea of the worth of their LEGO! If the person has clone-brands mixed in, then you're likely more likely to get good deals, because the seller doesn't know about rarer pieces that could be in the mix, and it looks like a box of miss-matched junk to the eyes of a casual bidder. Also, the clone-brands make it more fun to sort out the pieces once you get them! From my most recent auction, I just scored Lewa, Kopaka, Gali, 2 Bohrok, 2 Rahkshi and 13.5 Mctoran, as well as some normal LEGO and some other stuff all for the equvilent of around $20 USD!
  9. With ordering replacements, I thought TLG took extra precautions to make sure that the replacement pieces they were sending out were good quality, so they'd only need to send out the replacements once, and people wouldn't be needing replacements of replacements.
  10. That's good, although I though the third panel translated more accurately to "The canister asplodes to reveal an evil axe-chinned doppelganger of Kongu!" Stick it on BS01 and see what happens.
  11. Not sure about in Oz, but in NZ Kmart stocked a couple of UCS Falcons last year, so they might be more likely to stock a new UCS set again.
  12. Steal somebody else's camera! Or you could write a long essay on what you MOC looks like, including instructions to perfectly recreate your MOC elsewhere. CopMike might accept that for your effort.
  13. What wall pieces are you using then? LDD should have most standard bricks in red...
  14. It might be better to design it as a shelter for the poor, to promote the good quality of our castle, and justify why the beggars are all in one place, instead of wandering through the streets and sitting in every alleyway in normal castles.
  15. The books have still been slightly profitable for LEGO, otherwise they would've been axed straight away. However, the declining trends of profit tell them that it's going to be better to stop books soon, but not yet. IMO, the comics are good. Just like the books, they're written to promote a set of toys to 8 year olds, so the story needs to be simple, and most sets need to get a decent amount of "panel-time". And the artwork is brilliant for a toy-line promoting comic, although they're 2006-2008 rule of not showing sets that weren't avaliable for purchase that year really let a few things down. (Turaga Vakama, Turaga Dume, NO additional decent-looking Matoran!) BZP is about BIONICLE, and story is talked about the most because the sets can only really be discussed twice a year, whilst the story continuously gets updated all throughout.
  16. If you have red stripes or a red brick pattern going along the side, it would look more interesting when it isn't connected to another module, and more interesting on the inside wall when it is connected.
  17. We've already seen it.
  18. Meh, the problem with the internet is that you can't always tell that they're kids. There are a couple of older peoples on BZP as well, and they wouldn't appreciate being talked to like a kid, so Greg probably tries to avoid treating anybody like a kid. Of course, knowing that a lot of them are kids, but there's no way to tell the kids apart from the adults is depressing in itself. I think Greg should rethink his PM answering system, and redirect the pointless dupe questions to an index of answered questions or a BIONICLE wiki. It would save him a lot of time and teach a lot of kids to stop treating him like an answer-vending machine.
  19. On second thoughts I think that it's just artwork, because the side view alternates between a side view and a sectioned view. As far as I know, proper technical drawings would have one or the other. The dimensions look pretty accurate, although I don't have a small enough ruler at hand to test that!
  20. I'm not sure, but I thought that Inner Earth was one of the earlier names for Power Miners, but they changed it to Power Miners in the end, because it sounded more exciting.
  21. I'm sure it would be fine if it was relevant to the module. What module are you thinking of doing? Erdbeereis - Good idea for your new banner, although I must say that you're old one is much better!
  22. Although we should definitely not expect Greg to do the extra work for us that he does now, his extra work and presence on BZP does matter, because it helps us understand more of the story, and more importantly, why the story is the way it is. I don't want him to be here for us to try and control the storyline, that would be pointless for Greg. I'd like him to be here so that we can offer our opinions and constructive criticism more readily if he wants them, and so that he can help us understand his reasons for doing what he does in the story.
  23. He probably does - LEGO employees surf LEGO-fansites a lot more than you'd think. IMO, the best thing would be to keep praising him and then he might decide to join...Please Greg?
  24. Minus the swearing, I agree with you, some people take Greg for granted, and make selfish expectations that a little thought would show to be unreasonable, and then they bash him when those ridiculous expectations aren't met. Greg should come here for a while, or at least read this topic for a bit, because although we don't always like with the things that he does with the story, we understand why he needs to do it, and we appreciate him as a whole for the amazing work he's done for BIONICLE and it's fans.
