  1. The tracks are great, but as pointed out in the Town & Train forum, they're smooth tracks, so it will only work for sliding down the tracks, unless we make an innovative system to pull the carts up again.
  2. Meh, if Malum can do it do a Zesk...
  3. I meant more like they have the same idea of life as we do, family and personal identities and such. I'm fine with it being a Gladiator story, but they seem to be living to fight, instead of fighting to live.
  4. For cars, stick to 4-wide cars because they use less bricks, and they're faster and easier to make. Also, try and find sets that have nice cars, buy them, keep the parts that you want to use (like the cars) and then break down everything else for MOCing parts. For houses, try and use a lot of windows so that you don't need to use as many large bricks. I don't do it, but leaving off the back wall of houses saves a lot of bricks.
  5. IMO, I hope Greg tries to avoid the whole implant thing, because it icky and kinda disturbing to have your eye gauged out in favour of an infra-red sensor. They should have infra-red goggles or contacts instead, because body modification for the sake of a slight advantage in the arena puts the focus of life on fighting and winning instead of what life should be about.
  6. There isn't too much to discuss. "Ommygosh Agori can have babies!" So what? So can we.
  7. They probably won't show Agori and Glatorian without their armour, because they're trying to promote the sets, so they'd want maximum screen-time of the characters looking like the sets you can buy.
  8. Dark green and lime just look cooler on BIONICLE, and Green doesn't go with as many colours as Dark Green and Lime do. Also, we haven't seen any Brown either (although it would be a different brown to Pohatu anyway, because that brown is discontinued). Yes, that's how we identified the piece before it was released in the Glat-sets.
  9. True. Just because the Bara Magnians probably can and do it, doesn't mean it's going to be or needs to be covered in story. It's simple not relevant to burst into a story about the Gukkos and the Lightning Bugs halfway through a tale about gladiators and deserts.
  10. The first example of SNOT in the glossary is tiling. I think tiling is simply a basic form of SNOT or stud less building, and having bricks sideways or upside-down is more advanced or "proper" SNOT. I think what your thinking SNOT as is a more creative form of building, not just tile-laying. That's a very nice hideout, TheBrickster! I like the colour scheme and all the little Egyptian details added in. the only thing that bugs me is that the floor is a bit too nice, clean and smooth for a bandit's hideout.
  11. I absolutely love the mini-goat and mini-bunny, even if they're not to scale with the fabuland figures.
  12. No, in that image of Ackar displaying his counter, he seems to be dark-red and orange.
  13. Lego has lost their faith in children. With the way this conversation is going, it's probably best you don't know. Nope, I'm 99% sure we were told we would get a female Glatorian in summer. And come on guys, if you forget the Mistika Makuta, everything about Kiina suggests femininity - colour, name, wiry build and hunkbackness.
  14. Great Embassy! I'm glad that you made the roof a giant ribcage, and having a cemetery for the embassy is a great idea. However, I get the feeling that they're not going to be doing much political stuff in their graves, just sleeping... Also, I'm not sure if the convenient placing of the Skeleton Embassy next to the lower side of Trash's Troll Embassy will help or hinder Thrash's troll cook... :skull:
  15. Nope, I've just run out of appropriate bricks because I'm making something else with them. The Skeleton Embassy looks good from the front, and I'll go check it out in the Beta thread.
  16. Spontaneous sensitivity to grammatical inconsistencies it seems. Treated with a hard whack to the head.
  17. You have two cats, a Skrall, a PS2 and a messy floor. Nice MOC too, it's very detailed. How did you get the green eye to glow green though? Green light-saber blade?
  18. Like Norro and Dragonator said, NZ is pretty bad. We do get most of the smaller sets, but we're lucky to see many of the larger sets, and if we do, only 3 or 4 will appear momentarily before never coming back. Being a BIONICLE fan, last year I had major trouble finding any of the larger sets released in the second half of the year. Only one smaller store had them all stocked in decent numbers, while major toy stores got only a couple of the larger sets. This year it seems to be worse, because the store that I got the larger sets from last year only knows about the smallest of the large sets for this year's line of sets, so I doubt I'm going to be able to get any large BIONICLE sets from stores near me.
  19. Probably just background art, although it would be neat if it meant something more.
  20. I can't believe we missed that. 5 long years of meaningless covers and now we miss ones that mean something. Good work WrinkleGunner X, this be a great find!
  21. IMO, it would be cool if the Red Star was just that - a Red Star. Gali was just hallucinating from the trauma of seeing the island of Mata Nui being wiped clean. Although I still like my idea that the Red Star is a beacon on Bara Magna.
  22. They could both be un-regressed couldn't they?
  23. Non-regressed Zesk or a Vulcanus Agori.
  24. If Greg could pull the Region Bara Magna and Planet Bara Magna twist, he can pull the Star-Red Star and Light-on-Bara-Magna-Red Star twist. The Red Star was built on Bara Magna north of the mountains, shortly after Mata Nui was successfully built, as a means for him to find Bara Magna. It's not on the map, but it's on Bara Magna, which is. @Satellite Jack - Sorry, I meant Cendox, or whatever the yellow snowspeeder is. Red Agori Vehicle rider = Kortitius IMO.
  25. Krotitius - That's the one I meant. Spelling can vary, and though I didn't mean it, I noticed the potential misviewing of my spelling just after I posted it. And I'd say YAY for less mystery - the Red star was once on SM at the time of the map making, and Berix and Co are gonna try and find it. However, as typing I just thought of an even more epic possibility - what if Bara Magna is the Red Star, as viewable from the EO planet. The reason BM looks like a red star from the EO is because the red star on BM as shown on the map is a light, which is very very bright, shrouding the rest of the planet from view from another planet. This explains how Gali saw life on the Red Star - see used her Akaku to see through the light, and saw Bara Magnians! It also explains the purpose of the Red Star - it's a beacon to show Mata Nui where Bara Magna, the main part of SM. By always knowing where BM is, Mata Nui can find other SM parts and bring them back to BM. We've been told that the Red Star orbits the EO planet, but if you're on the Moon, it looks like Earth is orbiting the Moon, so the same could apply for Bara Magna and the EO. We know that the Red Star can be seen faintly from BM, and yet Berix has never considered the possibility of a red star, so he evidently hasn't seen the Red Star. However, he would be able to see the faint glow of the beacon at night, but he can't see more because of the Black Mountains. Quickly shoot my theory down before I post on BZP, because IMO, it's brilliant and just the kind of twist we need.
