  1. That announcer is way better, but they had to substitute the cooler Glatorian music and sound effects in order to dub the commercial with the new narration.
  2. It's a combine harvester, so it could be used for harvesting underground crystal fields/caves couldn't it?
  3. I saw that deal while ago, but it's not that great, because most stores have 20% off sales often. 25%+ plus are less common though.
  4. I pronounce MOC as Mock, and AFOL as Ay-ef-oh-el. Although they're both accronyms, I use MOC a lot more often than AFOL, so it's easier to say mock that Em-Oh-See everytime. As for AFOL, I don't say it enough to shorten it.
  5. Bara Magna has their own wolf-like creatures, otherwise Tarduk wouldn't have known to call the Biomechs wolves now would he?
  6. Argh, my Metus has broken his hand! So much for MOCing with 2009 joints as well. At least they lasted longer than the lime 07 and the 08 parts.
  7. Oh, save some for me, that sound's like a choice deal! I'm in need of some basic bricks right now.
  8. In regards to Option 1 and Option 2 that Teddy has proposed, I've got some pros and cons for both, and I'm not sure where to lean: With Option 1, the goodness is that the footpaths will not be essential for a member to contribute a module. If they don't have the titles, they can build their module starting from the edge of the plate, and if they do have the tiles, then they can build their own road section to fit with their building module. Another good reason for Option 1 is that at conventions, one person who has grey tiles and baseplates coming out of their ears can make a whole set of standard matching baseplates with their footpaths to take along, while other people only need to bring their individual modules. That way, the city streets will be much more consistent than if everybody built their own footpaths on their modules, which will improve the looks of streets quite a bit. The final good reason for Option 1 is the obvious one, which is that there will be proper LEGO roads instead of "imagined" roads that seem to be necessary with Option 2. However, the badness of Option 1 is that it will limit the interaction the street has with the building, because there can't be balconies overhanging the footpath, because the footpath and buildings are not connected. Also, Option 1 means that the road plates will be difficult to modularily connect to each other and the adjacent buildings, because they are essentially flat roads with flat footpaths next to each other, and there won't be space for the modular connection points unless the footpaths are 4 plates high on either side. Another bad reason for Option 1, is that we will be limited to the size of the LEGO baseplates, which is very very bad news for any car wider than 5 studs. Also, the new dark bley road plates have printed gutters already, so unless we want to brasso our roadplates, double gutters are going to look silly. My final worry about Option 1 is that the curve road plates are pretty difficult to pave nicely, although I doubt we'll be using many curved plates in our Build will we? As for Option 2, it's pretty much the opposite of what I said for Option 1, but I've typed enough already, so I'm not going to type it all out.
  9. He means he was hoping that this topic would be about a recreation of a Jackass stunt in LEGO. The disclaimers say nothing about getting trained LEGO professionals to recreate the stunts, so I think it's quite a good idea! Somebody ought to do it along with the plane challenge!
  10. Foot. Path. I think if the footpaths become two high, it would give a great opportunity to add little details like having the bottom layer plates being brown to represent dirt under the sidewalks, apart from the road side of the footpath, and the section below the gutter grill that can be a trans-clear or trans-blue colour to represent the water in the drain. Of course, two plate high footpaths would take up far too much of my plate collection, so I would personally choose the 1 tile option. If I had more parts though, I would choose the 2 plate high, because it can add that extra touch that makes it look incredible.
  11. Oh noes! It's elbows bend forward and it's knees go backwards! And it wastes a perfectly good Thornax launcher just to make the Skirmix jaw style look even worse! I'll probably re-judge it once I see it with a Glatorian riding it, but right now it makes Skirmix look good and makes the Kikalano look like it could even take down Jinzo.
  12. To add to this Ogel theory, I think it seems more appropriate that as Ogel's fourth scheme to take over the world and get rid of the Alpha team was to make an evil time machine and teleport to the past, change the future so that the Alpha team doesn't exist and the world is populated only by skeletons, then go back to the future and become leader of the world! Unfortunately, the Knights of the local Castle theme region foiled his plot by breaking his time machine and subduing his army. Now, trapped in the past, Ogel has given into his fate, and now spends his days as a crazed old magician who pesters the Knights from time to time with the odd skeleton attack. Meanwhile, in the future, Ogel's tempering with time has meant that there is no Alpha Team, but there are the Agents instead. With Ogel's lack of presence in the future, Dr. Inferno has stepped in to fill the role of the evil villain faction. On a slightly unrelated note, Ogel's interference also caused a portal wormhole to open up in the middle of the earth, allowing the Power Miner rock monsters to come from the Rock Raider planet to start eating crystals here as well.
  13. As far as I know, there can only be two Jinzos - one Jinzo Lord, and one Jinzo Apprentice. There used to be many Jinzos, but they fought and killed each other, so the 2 Jinzo rule was put in place to preserve the JINZONINGEN existence.
  14. I think he just retired didn't he? After all, it says he died of natural causes, so he must've been hanging around for the Agori to know that. Unless of course being swallowed by the desert is considered a natural cause of death in Bara Magna. No offence to good old Hinckley, but Jinzo's too rebellious to be killed by a turkey. No, I think the only chance of taking down Jinzo if it needs to come to that is to find a JINZONINGEN 74. That's how we stopped JINZONINGEN 72 wasn't it?
  15. There isn't much BIONICLE to talk about today because of this MiB business. Then again, what about BS01's Cervatus contest? What do you guys think Cervatus should look like? BTW Jinzo, if you go bad, how can we kill you? Wooden Stake, bullet to the brain, unplug you from the Matrix, fire extinguish that flaming stallion of yours?
  16. Jinzo, you know how the IP Board work by being an admin here - can't the BZP admins just delete all PMs sent by a member at the click of a button? IP is an advanced board, so I don't believe that they'd need to actually read personal information to censor something. EDIT: Honestly? Never really looked into it. And if I went running training exercises, I'd likely wind up deleting every PM on the site. But in BZ's case... of COURSE they need to be reading these PMs! Every one that's sent, actually. 99.9% of them might just be the form "attack" sent to everyone, while that .1% might be them saying, "Lol, it's going good, buddy!". -JINZO
  17. BZP just got cut again, right after I got a PM from "ancient piraka" entitled We are being watched. I haven't got to open it since the board is off, but who else got this PM?
  18. I prefer it when they come out at the official release date, and not 2 months early. That way we get the sets and get their character/power descriptions at the same time, as opposed to inventing the character personality and finding out your wrong. Stronius might be anuptaphobic for all we know.
  19. Great job with both factories. I like the colour scheme of the first quite a lot, because it's a simple building, yet it looks so striking. The second one with the Heatse reminds me of a scene from Johnny English. I eagerly await photos of these modules in your layout.
  20. In my local area of Albany and Glenfield, all the stores that stock LEGO have the full lines of BIONICLE, Pirates (Apart from impulses), Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Racers and Creator. Kmart (which seems to get the sets early this year) also as the Power Miner sets.
  21. Do you know what you (the staff) intend to/can do to prevent this MiB issue from occurring again? EDIT: Lol. I imagine puberty setting in will halt any future (lame) attempts at them thinking they know how to actually hack. -JINZO
  22. Prince Caspian was a normal user, but he must have had a weak password, and the hacker got into his account, and abused it. I feel sorry for that user. As for who the Men in Black are, I had a long look through the forum that was shown, and it seems to be one sadistic person who wants to take down BZP, and has adopted a Men in Black theme to make himself feel cool. However, he seems totally confused on how to do it, because for a start, he spam posts links to the place he discusses the attack, and has left all the records of previous failed attacks.
  23. Yes, but I can't tell what specific pieces they are. And yes, Toa = Glatorian in height I think. @Tyranide - Who made you the banner?
  24. Just use Photoshop or GIMP or some other photo-editing software to enlarge the size of the picture. It may be slightly pixelated when enlarged, but it'll make enough room for the text. And I'm sure a medium quality but readable comic straight away will suffice, as opposed to waiting a while for some more HQ scans. Really? They look kinda BIONICLE piecey, but I can't tell what they are exactly...
  25. Lol, Thornatus is 4+.
