  1. Very creative. I really like the idea.
  2. Cool car + great render = awesome post. I really like the car, although I'm curious to know how those wheels behave in bends at speed. Thank you for taking the time to create instructions for your model!
  3. The bot looks really great. Can't see the obstacle avoidance in the video though. Would also love to see the code.
  4. Great news! The books (3) will be available through Amazon as of September 15.
  5. Not sure why, but it somehow feels smaller... Love the yellow pneumatic hosing.
  6. Love the tutorial section! Great work and looking forward to seeing your further updates.
  7. LDraw (MLCad) for building the model and probably LDView for the rendering
  8. I really like Sheepo's solution, but you may also want to have a look at Mahjqa's Basic and Intermediate Power Functions Chassis which use shock absorbers for the same purpose:
  9. Anybody living in the USA... Each country has a different "Education" policy and in Spain for example, this particular set is not for sale ;)
  10. Love it. Until 3/4 through the video my thought was "nice, but you could have done exactly the same with a couple of pole reversers, but by combining several steps/functions in a single program you can actually take advantage of the software - really nice.
  11. 9xxxsets are mostle Educational and you can't but those in shops, only through the official Education channels :(
  12. I took a couple of pictures of the inside of the hub which Philo has kindly added to his gallery at BS: The round black spot you can see next to the big blue condensator apparently covers a propriatory controller for the WeDo hub :(
  13. The pictures don't half show you what it is capable of. Very nice to see in action. It works surprisingly well!
  14. 1 - no 2 - specific 3 - something that is more than 'just' a building: sliding doors, an elevator, working automatic stairs.... gadgets to make it stand out. 4 - Technic UCS set: the ultimate Pneumatics set using both large and small cylinders in large quantities, motorizable, logic control.... or a real Supercar UCS with all the extras. 5 - the medieval market village 'theme' would make a great addition to kingdoms in much the same way city now finally has houses and not only police, firebrigades and mailmen.
  15. Another good resource for building instructions is BrikFactory: http://www.brickfactory.info/
  16. Wouldn't an extention wire suffice?
  17. DO show - it's always nice to see Pneumatics.
  18. Received my second hub today (:D just testing). Some time ago Ralph Hempel menstioned he had written a 3rd party app to control the WeDo hub from a Windows machine. I have a copy of the app (it's lua based) but haven't had time to test it yet. It is supposed to support up to 3 hubs. [link]
  19. That's the one! ... I think, but I also remember seeing a video of something motorized...
  20. I seem to remember one too, but I belive it used crown gears ...
  21. I love it when people manage to turn such a small collection of parts into so many creative models. Great job!
  22. I've used similar services before, but they are always a lot more expensive than larger print runs. It would be great to be able to purchase the books in PDF though.
  23. Hope someone in Europe will carry them in their catalogue (Amazon...) because shipping is pretty steep
  24. Great video and review. Many thanks! As for the language, we all speak LEGO, and it is good to be reminded every once in a while that English isn't the only language in the world :D with such clear pictures very little is lost even without the words and Google (or yahoo or babelfish or .. take your pick) will be more than adequate for those who didn't do their homework at school. It is one thing to write in English on a forum and quite another to write/translate articles that fit with the quality of the images in English (believe me, I'm in charge of editing the translations for Hispabrick Magazine and sometimes it takes almost as much time to translate than to write the original article.)
  25. The important question is not how many are connected but how many do you plan to use at the same time...
