  1. Good.. I've been looking around for quite a bit to see any mention of it. Let's hope it's a good birthday present for me. ~ General Magma
  2. Yup, look at the box. His face prints are the same as those of the other Uruk-hai, except for being in different colors. One side has the White Hand on his face, the other is more fit for a newborn where the hand is not shown yet. I personally think he looks just fine that way - I'm sure they'll do an Amon-hen set with another, armored version of him, too. The first, prototype version of the Orc Forge's box showed an armored Lurtz, so they're either planning something or are already designing it. ~ General Magma
  3. I'm not 100% sure about the new mask. It looks great from the side, and not too bad from the front either, but yeah. Overall, I like the new one better even if just for the way they made the sides, and being a fan of Christopher Nolan's Batman films... Dunno how different the cowl was in other reincarnations. I think this new cowl was mainly done in preparation for TDKR sets - or well, hopefully, so I wonder if they're still gonna use the white headband for TDKR sets, since I recall Batman's eyes being visible there. But then they'd have to place the eyes far higher and I doubt that would look good... Uhm.. uhm.. for free? ~ General Magma
  4. Not if you count the Orc Forge, which likely adds another $40. I just hope that the euro prices will be reasonable enough since I intend on getting them all, if not really most of them first and the rest later... ~ General Magma
  5. On Bricklink, it has this item number: sw315 It never appeared in any set - it was a promotional figure, originally given away with purchases of over $75 on May the 4th 2011, at S@H or in LEGO stores. ~ General Magma
  6. Starting to look neat so far, but it could use some more detailing, unless you're mainly aiming for a large Helm's Deep.. Right now it's all light grey, but still starting to come along nicely. Now hopefully soon it'll be my turn to start the Helm's Deep project I've been planning. ~ General Magma
  7. Yup, they ripped out one of the figures... Thanks for the picture anyways, though! I'm fine with it if both orcs will turn out to have much more variation. The ToyFair figures had something on the backs of their heads, so if the orc with hair has a reversible head, then I doubt the bald one does. In the set, there are 2 sets of Uruk-hai armor: helmet with the White Hand, shield with the White Hand and breastplate, all x2. ~ General Magma
  8. There's this funny 'lil thing called Bricklink, you should check it out. In other words: no.. well, not as for me since that would cost me €300. 1 copy of the set and 7 loose figs from BL is good enough. ~ General Magma
  9. That would just look awkward, and this is the White Hand of Saruman we're speaking of. It has to be recognizable. I know, I was referring to stickers on minifigs. Not sure when the last time was that they did that, but I believe they showed up in the more recent football sets from half a decade ago. After that I've never seen them again... Luckily. ~ General Magma
  10. I doubt TLG would include a sticker sheet for minifig stickers, they're always just printed on... well, except for stickers on a few older figures, but that was unnecessary and no longer occurs, I think... guess... well, hope... Great, more people who are "stealing" my plans. Know that you'll have competition. ~ General Magma
  11. No need to, it's been confirmed that all sets we've seen final box arts of so far will contain Uruk-hai (as long as they're in the set at all) without the hand prints. The only set that might have hands printed on the helmets and shields would be The Orc Forge. Where is Grogall?! I'm waiting to see that box art! ~ General Magma
  12. None, or barely any of the Uruk-hai during the Battle of Helm's Deep seemed to have the White Hand on their helmets, and the same goes for the shields - there were plain variants, but also shields including the hand. ~ General Magma
  13. It could be possible. We haven't seen the final box art of The Orc Forge yet, so perhaps we get an Uruk with the White Hand on his helmet on that set. ~ General Magma
  14. The Dark Knight (Christopher Nolan) The Joker Two-Face Bane Batman (new TDK outfit, that is) Commissioner Gordon Alfred Those are the ones I want to see most, especially The Joker and a new Batman figure. ~ General Magma
  15. They do look great, but Legolas is supposed to have printed legs and a different head, and Frodo's cape seems to be... black? ~ General Magma
  16. Either that, or it's custom and he (strangely) mistook it for the official one. ~ General Magma
  17. The ones coming in June are LOTR sets, not from The Hobbit. I can almost guarantee you that it will be molded, and that's probably for the better too, otherwise they'd have to stick with certain design "rules" and such and people would become disappointed, etc... ~ General Magma
  18. I was talking about a new face print. And uh, yeah.. I really wish I had access to a LEGO store in times like these, I'm pretty sure I would memorize almost everything I'd see in a catalog like that. Someone should run to a LEGO store with a pen and a piece of paper to write down what he saw. ~ General Magma
  19. Hmm, any chance you could describe to us what you've seen? I don't know how well you can memorize things, but please, just try. Any additional LOTR sets along with them, perhaps? New Gollum print? New Warg mold? More goblins? Anything that hasn't appeared in the 'The Hobbit' book? (But which will, thereby, be seen in the movie) ~ General Magma
  20. Yep, that's just the exclusive Batman figure. I wish it was more accessible, but if we do get TDKR sets, then I hope to see a similar figure. Perhaps a new cowl and/or torso print. Anyone else who's hoping for some additional sets from TDK? A new movie version figure of The Joker would be nice to have, especially in these times where the figures all become so detailed. ~ General Magma
  21. Oh, well then it's a different matter. On that hairpiece the ponytail is further away from the back of the torso itself, while the hairpiece that Legolas uses almost touches the torso.. Which is why they didn't use a quiver. A custom quiver might work somewhere and somehow, though. ~ General Magma
  22. Eh, I don't know if you may have bent the hairpiece, but no, it isn't able to. At least, not the ones I tried.. ~ General Magma
  23. I highly doubt it - and otherwise they would have different kinds of outfits, if you've seen the amount of main characters. Perhaps if the theme goes further than 3/4 waves, but other than that, I'm not expecting too many duplicates. A differently colored cape or, perhaps, the addition of a cape, still doesn't make it a duplicate for me. Other licensed themes did have this, however that was because the movies they were based on only had one, maybe two real main characters. LOTR has... lots, unless you don't count Boromir, Legolas, Gimli etc. as main characters. ~ General Magma
  24. Thanks for the link! Well damn, didn't think it could get even better, and I said this.. twice, thrice? The Uruk-hai have reversible heads then. That's pretty great for some variation here and there. One side with the white hand, the other side without it. I'm not sure, but didn't most Uruk-hai go around without it in and around Helm's Deep? - Oh well, either way, the printing on Théoden's torso is great, but I wish they gave him a neutral face on the back of his head rather than a smiling face. They even gave Gimli a double sided head, which is very neat as well. Not much else to say that adds up to anything as all the figures are just amazing and greatly detailed. Now we just gotta see those Mordor orcs and their reversible heads in The Orc Forge! ~ General Magma
  25. Yes, but what makes it FOTR for me is the inclusion of Lurtz. But other than that, it should work as a TTT set too, I just think TLG will label it as a FOTR set as well. ~ General Magma
