Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Dr.Cogg replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
I think a good place for the Drow, would be the Fallen Angel, because it is a large pit right outside the maze and as I understand Drow are Nocturnal and subterranean. -

Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion

Hope this helps Angeli I had written this for another new member hope it helps Here are some of the basics of Nocturnus: #1 Nocturnus, is the darkest guild of the four guilds, so are lands are also the most dangerous to live in. #2 Are Science and Magic are the most advanced of all the guilds, because we have no restrictions. #3 We love to make funny of Avalonians A.K.A. Tight wearing, Tree Hugging Hippies. #4 Nocturnus makes the best pies, " In Nocturnus pumpkin eats you". #5 Are current enemy is the Black Spire, lead by Lord Raavage, before that, it was the White Hand lead by Victor Revolword, who used four elemental stones, to try and conquer Historica. #6 Are current ally is the Desert King, because we helped him in the Kaliphlin Civil War. Here is a link to the story http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=83406 P.S.There is a fifth guild called the Valrio guild, you don't hear about it all that much and I might have it's name wrong. -
Nice city Angeli, are you able to come back to Nocturnus and spread Drow terror all over Historica again ?

Ninjago Layout opinions and suggestions
Dr.Cogg replied to vinchente000's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
you could probably build an ocean layout, but you would have to buy blue base plates and parts for the shores and docks, like for example, you have the City of Stix, you could add some more docks and partial buildings, you also have Tiger Widow Island, which you could add to the classic Islanders and add a shore with some docks, than if you have any ships put those out in the ocean. -
To me their just way to far a departure from the traditional minfigures, you can't really mix them with minfigure, without them looking like some strange race and their way less customizable than the minifigures, don't get me wrong, the builds are great and the printing and the hair pieces on the elves are excellent, but their just to different, they have more in common with Poly Pocket then they do with minifigures.

I'll probably buy Misfortunes Keep, Jay's Dragon, Zeppelin Raid, Tiger Widow Island, the Light house, Lloyd's Dragon, the Prison, possibly Ronin's Salvage M.E.C. and depending on the builds and figures, either one or both of the last two sets.

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
Dr.Cogg replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
To bad we never got to see a sky duel between Misfortunes Keep and the Destinys Bounty and here are a few questions: #1 I would like to know if Nadakhan's power was strong enough to wish Djinnjago had never been destroyed. #2 wasn't it the Sword of Souls that had the power to create New Djinnjago. #3 will some one else use Misfortunes Keep, now that it's back to being a regular ship #4 does Jay's last wish mean Gordon's alive. #5 did the ninja meet little Nelson or was that erased as well.- 4,591 replies

Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Dr.Cogg replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
Shouldn't there be a Pumpkins category, because here in Nocturnus it's not just the pies that bite, but also the Pumpkins. -
It would be weird for Sensei Yang to be the main antagonist of this wave, what is mad about Nadakhan moving his temple.

Welcome Viggen to the Dark lands, your Sigfig is really cool looking -
I think Sci is right, because in larger picture they look like short legs, so I was wrong and it is little Nelson, also I just noticed those are new torso printing on the Stone Warriors.

Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Dr.Cogg replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
It varies, like for example, you can build golems but you can't build robots, Primitive cannons, probably yes, Gyrocopters, no, but you might be able to get away with something that uses floating rocks (I myself have a ship that flies that way) in terms of tech and magic here's the ranking of the guilds: #1.Nocturnus, because we have no restriction, like the rest of the guilds. #2. Is between Mitgardia and Kaliphlin, because kalphlin magic is a little more advanced and mitgardias Dwarf tech. #3. Avalonia, they have magic and tech, but it's behind everyone elses. -

The light house is actually very close to the source material

The white dragon looks great and so do all the other sets, I only wish all the figure, were minifigures.

Is Chen riding a T-Rex ?

I think it should be open to everyone, because that means more pies terrorizing the land, and I don't think it should just be set in Nocturnus, here are some examples: Pies are be transported to other land, when they manage to escape from their cages or An Avalonian baker wanted to make a pumpkin pie and he hears Nocturnus pumkins are special, so he makes the pie, using a nocturnus pumpkin, only to have the pie try to eat him, these are just some example of stories for builds. -
So far the only sets I like, are Magmar's siege engine, Jestro's castle and Burnzie ( I don't really care for Axel's vehicle), also the way Jestro's castles set up, it looks like he's going to fall into the lava pit and I kind of wish his throne was turn upside down and turned into a black skull, that would look awesome.

So far I like the Sky pirate sets more, but there are some sets I like in this wave like Lloyds Dragon, The tower, and Ronins Mech( It kind of gives me a Big Daddy vibe), the prison set for the figures and Coles set for the figures, but we still haven't seen the samurai X cave.

This is why I said stone army: 70589 Cole's Rock Roader - £34.99 I was immediately reminded of 70755 Jungle Raider when I saw this set. The Rock Roader is configured much like the Jungle Raider but is much larger and has working suspension as well as some spring loaded shooters which are mounted on either side of the vehicle. The minifigures included are Cole, a pair of Stone Warriors and a mysterious ninja. This figure was not shown on the card beside the set, nor was it there in physical form but it did appear on the packaging and seemed to be dressed in purple. There have been rumours of a purple ninja joining the team in the near future, so perhaps this is it. Alternatively, it might have been Jay. The box artwork is very fuzzy so it is quite difficult to tell for certain, but the fact that this figure was not shown on the card beside the set suggests that it is a new character as images of all the other minifigures were shown.

Pixal is a AI, which means she can be downloaded to a new body, plus her outfit is Purple, where as Nelson is a little boy in a wheel chair, I can't see TLG putting a ninja in a wheel chair fighting the stone army.

The guys at Brickset only like certain themes, so what they might think is dull to them might be really cool to us.
