Have you ever forgot to log off?
Captain Blackmoor replied to JimBee's topic in Forum Information and Help
On this computer I'm the only one who is active at EB, so I don't need to log off. I only log off on public computers, on school for example. -
This is defenitely a good one, if not one of the best. It's incredebly detailed! The small buildings are simply top notch, they are cute and realistic too. I love the bell in the small chapel, first time I see a goblet as a bell! You've got a perfect entry there!

This nice island will be on the frontpage soon! Along with the knitting pirate and his monkey!

Check out your nice entry on the frontpage soon!

That you're making good progress! I play drums myself for 8 years now, and I have lots of respect for those who play on guitar. It looks very difficult and hard to learn, but the results are wonderful. Without a guitar and drums a song is not a song.

EB Community Castle Build: Discussion Thread
Captain Blackmoor replied to I Scream Clone's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I've made a small setup of the loggers camp today, I couldn't resist to order some extra bricks instead of only the bricks for the PTVII. I think it's turning out pretty nice so far. -
You are very welcome. Got a small galleon in the dockyard as well. Is everyone secretly building ships around here?

Laf 2012, your request is finally, finally done. You won't know me how much time I spend on making my first face decal, and even adding a complicated face to it. Anyway, here it is. Let me know if something needs to be changed.

I like fireworks a lot, you don't get the opportunity to fire and burn things every day. I'm planning to buy a lot this year, just like the previous year, and the previous one... The law isn't always happy with my kind of fireworks I think. Man I wish it was 31 December already...

An orc hides in the bushes... Waiting and waiting to rob that dwarf... Suddenly, there he is! But what is that dwarf carrying there? Let's take a closer look... WHOOSH! What was that? It nearly hit me! Oh grunt, it's the dwarf smithing master with his new warhammer! AAARGH! Yup, that are orc helmets. I hope you like it! More pics at Brickshelf.

Marvellous! Not even close... An outstanding creation again DNL! Your best castle till now IMO! The landscaping is great, and the castle's architecture is awesome. We haven't even spoken about the details! No doubt that would look nice on a shelf in my bedroom...

You are unstopable! This is awesome, and very quickly built as well! I'm working on my PTV contest for a month already! I love the bumping cars (or whatever you call them in the UK ) and the other attractions. The cavern below is outstanding, simple on the first eye, but if you look again you discover all kinds of amazing details. I feel almost sorry for those poor orcs, especially for that one in the wheel. Very good job again Sly!

This awesome creation will be blogged on the Classic-Pirates.com frontpage soon!

I think the Behind the Helms should continue with both a text and a voice example. And yes, even as a humble Dutchman I can understand Aussie accents! You two are doing a great job together, and I'm looking forward to the upcoming episode! Keep it up!

Now that will fit perfectly in my small street of modular buildings! This work is simply top notch. So many features on it, an interior and rare colours. It really catches the eye. Great job!

That is outstanding! The beach, cliff ( ), banana tree and ship in the distance. Excellent!

Excellent entry! It is incredebly detailed, realistic and it still has the classic LEGO feel. The construction of the slope before the entrance is wonderful. The dark red roof really jumps in the eye. Great use of colour. Also the interior is really nicely done. To be fair I don't see much to be improved. Good luck in the contest!

They are quite similar to the few birds from the Medieval Market Village, but the one with the tail feather is really nice. I have a brown one somewhere...

Now that perfectly describes what I want to say.

WIP: Achille and Guerrière, French Frigates of 28 guns
Captain Blackmoor replied to BrickPerfection's topic in Pirate MOCs
Now I do have time! She is a beauty! The fact there is an interior is really impressive, also the ammount of detail you've put in is simply stunning. That gold cheese slope for the cathead is a piece on my wishlist now, your catheads look very nice this way. The masts are okay till now, but I don't see a reason why you switch to prefab masts when you get higher. Still, I can't wait to see ropes and sails on her. Like Joey said something with the coloursheme is bugging me. Perhaps it is the yellow line on the side which drops in the middle so it doesn't continue the line of the ship. I also think the blue under the forecastle looks rather colourful compared to the rest, perhaps it's better to leave it black with yellow decorations. The figurehead is nice and I am a big fan of the tiled, detailed deck. I use studs for my ship preventing the minifigs from falling over when moving the ship. Till now you have a mighty fine ship in your dockyard, I wish you luck completing her. Keep it up! -
I mean the goodybag for the kids, I have done some great shopping as well. Now that is just terrible!

Since it's so epic I comment on it later when I have more time to take a very close look at it. Man, that is awesome... -

Lego Pirates Decal and Weapon Problems
Captain Blackmoor replied to curtisrlee's topic in LEGO Pirates
We had a topic about the ink quality of one of the new pirates not long ago, but this is new for me. It's sad to see the gold fading, it's also odd because my soldiers are still fine. I do know the gold paint is another kind of paint then the normal colours, since there are shiny elements in the gold. How long do you have those torso's? For the weapons it is normal there are different kinds of plastic used. A pistol and a stick are robust elements and don't break often. A cutlass is much more fragile when it is made of hard plastic. As well for the musket.
