  1. Whahaha, great sarcastic humour!! I've almost bumped the lamp off my desk because I was laughing too much. Very nice done.
  2. Love that!! The colour sheme is great, with the tan line on the side. The rigging looks awesome too, but with sails it would be better I think, the bowsprit looks fine. I've been searching around the net and found out the bowsprit has a perfect shape, not too long and not too short. Oh, I almost forgot: That's such an amazing lantern at the back of the dinghy! Great job!!!
  3. They are quite expensive indeed. I had the opportunity to buy the infantry and navy for 30 euro in Germany. The cannons and the horse are from my western sets. The Napoleon Wars and the age of sail are very interesting I'm no history professor but I know a lot about it. Thanks for the positive comment!
  4. I got it from Ebay in this state. One red epaulette and lots of yellow. That's why I gave the officer the red one. I'm in the market to get some red epaulets
  5. I show you my French army. Long not that big as Le Grande Armée of Bonaparte, but big enough for me. The Infantry consists of seven men, including the officer. The Artillery consists of three 12 pounders, three men and a horse. The horse is the start for my cavalry which I'm "recruiting" right now. I'm waiting for the cannons in the new pirate's line because of their metallic colour. The final part is the navy. This contains seven men, including the navigator ( right ) and Captain Blackmoor ( front ). Notice Cap'n Blackmoor has a custom made torso. Thanks to the Torso Library for inspiration and turtorials. The ship where those seven men will live on, is almost finished and ready for sailing. Some pictures are a bit blurry but I've ordered a Lego Camera which is specialized in taking pictures from nearby. More on Brickshelf
  6. True, but after completing the main quest you got a ship of the line or the black pearl, and then the game ends! Not good. It would be much more fun if you could continue the game after completing the main quest so you can play with your rewards. I've installed it again.
  7. Love the new age, as you say it looks clean, and that makes it realistic. But you haven't kept your promise: I leave the dinghy untouched. You have made a spaceship and I don't see any dinghy in it. Anyway it's a nice collection of small MOC's, there's a nice idea beyond it and I feel almost sorry the story ends here. Although Capt. Kirk is still alive! I thought he would die... :pir-skull: I've voted for classic, maybe a bit boring but I just love the Classic pirate style. I like the other "ages" very much but classic is my favorite.
  8. Is it true this set isn't to find anywhere? I've been searching almost everywhere but I can only find it on bricklink. I don't believe this set is that rare...
  9. I like this set, although the stones blocking the way shouldn't be there, it makes the building an 'under siege' look. Overall it is a small, nice addition to your collection. But it could have been bigger.

  12. I really do not hope there will be fantasy pirates. The Flying Dutchman would be okay but no further magic or mysticism. It will make Lego too childish and not attractive to buy. I do believe there will be more pirate sets upcoming year but I don't even want to hope on fantasy pirates.
  13. * Waiting with patience while he drinks some of the good stuff*
  14. Fancy that!!! I truely love the cuirassiers, standing in a row shoulder to shoulder which makes them very impressive! I also like the huuuge ammount of infantry. I thought I was doing nice with my army. , which is French too so I don't have to be scared. You should add some detail to your cannons, maybe some sticks onto it so it can be carried around with a horse? - Just an idea, although I don't even see how you can improve this Grande Armée.
  15. You have proven yourself worthly again Guss, and Svelte_Corps too! I saw both reviews and it's interesting to see different aspects and opinions about the ship. I like the comparisons between the 'new' items and 'old' items. You've posted a lot of pictures whitin the review so I can perfectly see what this set contains and how it looks like. Can't wait to see more reviews.
  16. I've found some transparent bottles: in my brother's playmobil!! They are in red and green and a minifig can hold them but they are huuge. ( about 50 cm in minifig scale ) The main reason I use them is their lower part exactly fits on Lego bricks! But I fancy the Lego pre-made bottles made by CPT. Jr or Will.
  17. Well, we'll see what the prices will be. I'm reserving money for it so I can buy a lot. Or should we do it at the traditional pirate way by plundering the ship which carries the new Lego? :pir-skull:
  18. Love the pictures and the "summary of a soldier's life" in it. Especially the first photo looks great with it's amazing background. You're quite an expert in photo editing!
  19. I live in the Netherlands and I'm wondering as well if there will be pirate sets in the shops around Januari. I'm waining for the Lego book where I can see if they'll be avaible next year. I'm sure they will be released here once but I'm not sure if they are here in January. I agree with Zorro3999 and wait with patience...
  20. They said Piratse of the Caribbean was an everlasting game, but I completed the main quest in a week. Sad thing is the game ends when you complete the main task. In the beginning I was always merchanting but it becomes boring so you'll start plundering other ships. :pir-skull: And you can do that for ages whitout completing the game.
  21. I see you've been improving your MOC, it looks much better now, especially the boat looks great now! You should create more MOC's in the future! No doubt you'll do.
  22. Although I have no Islander set in my collection, I like them. Small islands are scattered across the Caribbean and so are the Islanders. I prefer pirates or imperials but the islanders are a nice addition to the pirate themes.
  23. Another age, it looks great, especially "the piece you are happy with" looks very special thanks to the transparent rods. The boat looks funny as well and you can see it's still that old classic dinghy. A textballoon would say: "Hello again, you won't get rid of us for ages!" The first second I saw the boat I thought they were selling hotdogs. But a better look shows it's a boat. Defenitely a boat, although I hope I will have a comfortable ship in the future because there's almost no space for the guys. Great job again! Is another age on his way or is this the end?
  24. Waw, that's just awesome! Not only it is "new" but also very detailed. The rigging is just stunning and the wheels in the middle are great and look very realisitc. The whole ship is realistic by the way. Keep up the good work!! Can't wait to see more MOC's of you in the future!
  25. Haha, it looks quite well. I like the patched up building, which stands there for ages already. It looks like the lighted path attracts pirates to the port. :pir-skull: The antenna in the corner shows you this MOC is modern - future, a nice addition. Only 1 flaw: the boat could be moderner, I see a piece in it which you used in the Steam punk age as well Great job so far and I'm curious how the voyage will be continued.
