1993 LEGO World Expo "Pirates Ahoy" Souvenir Booklet
Captain Blackmoor replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
I'm quite interested in pirates so I said yes. You won't die reading it will you? And reading in it is different then pay money for it so you hava nothing to lose -
Forget to rate your nice MOC: a big 5 from me A green transparent frog, that must be it. Didn't know exactly what it was
-
Great article full of information. You've also added a graph in it which looks great Still, no pirate set spotted in Europe But that gives me time enough to consider about what I'm gonna buy, that won't be a hard choice because I will buy everything after all. Again, great article. 5/5 from me

My first set was the Armada Flagship: I got this set at the same moment: After that my little brother got the Redbeard Runner. I also bought the Redbeard Runner a few years later. And a few months after that I got another Armada Flagship. From that moment on I bought lots of bluecoats and extra bricks.

I live in Europe and there's nothing to see here yet. I think the pirates sets will come out in Europe early Januari. Although, we can buy them from Ebay but even the S@H and Toy's'Rus haven't any pirate sets. Of course Januari is coming close, but for me it can't go fast enough.

Thank you Exotrator, for the picture Nice techniques used in it. Perhaps I'm going to use it in an upcoming MOC. With your credit of course
-
I was curious on that too. Perhaps you can post an image of the 12 pounder, with one side removed? Already thanks

I've seen the Constitution in real and a friend of me has a model of it. From that, I know the stern looks great and it contains many details. I'm looking forward to the result and I'm curious about how you are going to build it. Good luck with it.

Black Seas Barracuda vs Skull's Eye Schooner
Captain Blackmoor replied to ukdevilz's topic in LEGO Pirates
When these ships are fighting eachother the SES will win, because it has more firepower at each broadside. The SES's 4 cannons easily fires the BSB to the bottom :pir-skull: But the BSB is much more realistic, not only the colour sheme but also the small details and functions on it. The looks of the BSB makes it so impressive, but in a battle the SES wins. That's why the SES gets my vote. -
Maybe the pirate stole the fish in pillaging a village and has he a bounty on his head for the crime? Funny comic by the way

Organ gun, just the word I was looking for

A very nice MOC, never seen a sunbading pirate before Is the frog-like-thing planning to steal his chest of gold? He'd bettter bury it and take a nap when the work is done^^ Conclusion: A lazy pirate on a sunny beach who is too lazy to bury his chest, now he's sleeping and the frog will take the chest.

PICTORIAL REVIEW: 6285 Black Seas Barracuda
Captain Blackmoor replied to Capn Frank's topic in LEGO Pirates
I have the Armada Flagship and the Redbeard's Runner both twice, but no BSB However, a friend didn't play with it anymore ( his little brother does ) so I could "Borrow" some parts of it. But I still want the BSB but they are so da* n** :pir-skull: expensive -
Nice ship, although the rigging needs some improvement indeed The colour sheme looks pretty nice and it's packed with details Perhaps you can make a nice digitbal background to make your ship a floating piece of art. The photo's could use some more work. Great ship anyway

Pillage the Village Voting - SMALL Division
Captain Blackmoor replied to SlyOwl's topic in Pirate MOCs
first vote: 22 Legojoe second vote: 1 Beuk - Pirated Television third vote: 33. zorro3999 - You have been sentenced to death by immurement! My first vote goes to 22 Legojoe because the idea is just hilarious! The MOC is pretty nice build and the sewers are just perfect, using green bricks and a brown rat to make the sewer look disguisting. :pir-skull: My second vote is spend on 1 Beuk - Pirated Television, when he revealed his MOC I immediately knew this would be a topper. Not only the idea is very funny but it looks great too. Especially the poles in the water with the different colours. This guy has an sharp eye for small detail The third vote is for 33 Zorro3999 - You have been sentenced to death by immurement! Because the idea is just very cruel. The pirate won't have a very nice death. It's build nicely but I voted for it because of the horrible idea beyond it. :pir-skull: -
You're welcome

Which 2009 Lego Pirate sets do you have?
Captain Blackmoor replied to Ye Olde Pirate's topic in LEGO Pirates
Because the new pirate's line isn't released in Europe yet I haven't any of them. But I have some of the old pirate's line: The Armada Flagship 2x The Redbeard Runner 2x Fort Eldorado Caribbean Clipper Buccaneers ( contains only 6 minifigs and a treasure chest ) 12 Imperial Bluecoats A lot of extra pieces obtained from Ebay, friends and Bricklink. Of course I want everything from the new pirate's line and I'm probably going to stock them up! -
*Stunned* Great entry! A fantastic creation with loads of details and interesting techniques. I truely like the bell with the arch over it. The shacks in the village looks so realistic with that roofs. I saw your 12 pound cannons in another thread and they look great too. This is absolutely one of the best entries I've seen so far, not bad for your first entry Good luck on the contest!

Another nice MOC, packed with details. A huge bird in the tree who's getting shot Great techniques The dementor cape for the tattered looking sail on the raft looks great as well. Not to forget the shack where the stranded man lives. The raft is tied with a rope which make it looks even better. Good work!
-
That's very impressive! I like the decorated square in the center of the fort The interior is very cool as well and there's almost no difference between Mikhail's Watch and a real fortress!
-
Nice work so far. Can't wait till it's finished Keep up the good work
-
Waw, I love that Never seen the 4 gun-cannon before in Lego. And I like the simple, but nice and effective design of the 12 pounder
-
I agree with that

The Skull's eye Schooner and the Black Seas Barracuda are the only two ships I don't have. From the BSB I knew it hasn't a capstan. So I didn't thought the SeS would have one But now I know and I official confess I was wrong
