  1. "Yes, I have thought the same thing. Is the gamble worth Lady Nyx's life?"
  2. I hope Zepher isn't taking any of this as more than a minor complaint. I have had a good time on this quest. As far as role playing Flipz, I try to fit it in realistically. If I am addressed, I respond. If I see a situation that needs a boost, I provide it. What I don't do, like in real life, is just go on and on in front of people I have little to no history with. If you care to reread the quest, you can see that is my role playing style. Concur.
  3. That's one BIG if. Don't get me wrong, I am enjoying this fight and didn't expect it to go fast, but the mechanics of this game have always been hashed out really well. So, when a situation arises that is not an out of battle puzzle that is a 'figure it out' kind of thing, it's kind of irksome.
  4. Hoke turned to Hans, puzzled. "Cronk's Guardian Angel is here! There is no way Wren will be hurt if the bomb is used. Perhaps I am missing a finer point about the use of these peculiar explosives?" True, but she has SP and the picture of her has armor on, so I am guessing she has equipped armor.
  5. I am really not trying to be rude or poke the beast, but in a quest based on chaos with a QM that (understandable) enjoys keeping the party on their toes, it's kind of useless to 'figure it out.' What would make perfect sense to someone in the party may not fit into the dynamic/mechanic of your design. The ONLY thing I can think of is to damage Nyx to near death, and when Wren switches back, she will inherit the damage proportionately to her HP. For example, if Nyx has a total of 10 HP and goes down to 1 HP, when Wren switches back, from the 100 max HP she has, she would be down to 10 HP. That could make sense to me and some of the party, but may not fit into the mechanic. But, as it stands, I will just stick with my chosen actions.
  6. Yup. It's chaotic enough that our weapons were switch, that Wren gains levels and HP and now she is in our party. At least explain how it works.
  7. Can we PLEASE get an explanation on how Wren works in our party? Does she follow orders like the other NPCs? Will she stay in the party past this round? Does she drop a Grand Zoot's plaything? Does she like grilled cheese sandwiches? Important questions need important answers!!!
  8. Hoke reaches into his pouch and pulls out a Phoenix Essence. He walks over to Arthur and looks down at his unconcious form with the Phoenix Essence in his hand. "I am no man's puppet. I will not be an instrument to fulfill your glory." Hoke returns the item to his pouch and rejoins to the battle. Turn 1 - Hoke removes Wren's armor and puts it on. Turn 2 - Hoke retrieves the Twin Broadswords form Haldor and returns Zoot er Isen. "Lady Nyx! Stay your hand."
  9. Well, since she can't attack Hoke directly, I think she will just have to get over it somehow. So if Wren spits out a Chaos Beast this round, does it stay on our side?
  10. Not with the Guardian Angel.
  11. Hey, if it works, then she loses SP and the party gains SP. It's just like switching equipment.
  12. Hoke jumps back as he sees Wren standing side-by-side with the heroes. There seems to be something different going on. On a hunch, Hoke moves towards Wren. Turn 1 - Hoke removes Wren's armor and puts it on. Turn 2 - Hoke attacks Wren (do rows even come into account here?) Can Wren be damaged?
  13. Are we waiting on something?
  14. You're welcome! I pictured Skrall having a large crossbow, but it looked wonky if I tried to put it in his hand. Glad you like it
  15. Yeah, I found it, thanks. I just wanted to see how it came about. What enemy had it, what battle it dropped in, etc Twin Boradswords (WP:20, the user can attack two enemies in the same turn, but negates the use of a shield. Suitable to Knights and their Advanced Classes only)
  16. If it was sold at the shop, that's as much as it would cost. A WP:28 weapon would cost 280 gp. and sell to the shop for 140 gp. Although I agree that high level weapons/shields/artefacts shouldn't be thrown about like candy, I don't really see the problem with paying for upgrades, ESPECIALLY for a rogue. You chose the class for the gold benefits and have leveraged those benefits to your advantage with both upgrades and consumables.
  17. 280 gp? SOLD! Hoke can pay when he and Guts get back from their quests.
  18. If lifestealer is so useless now, Hoke won't mind taking off of your hands.
  19. Not miffed at all. I was just wondering how they came about. I can't seem to find them. What quest were they dropped in?
  20. Skrall WIP. Website lags big time today, so I am done for the day unless it starts acting normally.
  21. Where did the Twin Broadswords come from and what was the original description?
  22. Tesni Hightribe:
  23. You're welcome. I am having fun doing these. I started on Benji, but he kept looking like a 70s/80s Fabio looking romance novel cover model. May have to switch to a female for a break. Maybe Tesni or Cinna.
