Hoke enters the Marketplace and makes a purchase: Counterstrike Gloves: 258 - 80 = 178

"The Fields of Glory you say? I have heard of this place and have signed up to join a group there. What kind of battles did you face while in the fields?"

Hoke reenters the Hall and nods to Alexis as she walks by. He gives Arthur a strange look as the sorcerer wails out some sort of song. He sees a seemingly decent looking fellow and introduces himself to Benji. "Good day to you sir, I am Hoke Ablesword. I do not believe we have met."

So will Quest 50 have to be done over again? I love a shot at getting that blade for Hoke!

More drama and older faces seem to dominate the Hall. It seems that the conversations at hand are ones that Hoke does not want to be involved in. Needing a little more peace, Hoke grabs his gear and heads out for a walk.

Hoke let out a laugh. "Tis true my friend. My steel craved my ethereal energies on our last quest. Mayhaps I can keep it under control in our next adventure."

Hoke furrows his brow a bit after seeing he was not chosen for the quest. However, after seeing Skrall go up to the Questboard, Hoke takes another look and excitedly signs up for the Fields of Glory. "Perhaps we can team up once again Skrall."

Seconded. We will be back in time to make it in the Fields of Glory?

Hoke holds the Plaything in his hand as Barty speaks. He tilts his hand back and forth and watches the orb roll around a few times before returning it to the neck pouch. "We will see Barty. We will see."

If Hoke is selected, I don't see him siding with the Wolfgang. I guess Hoke will just have to keep Boomingham on the straight and narrow.

Hoke takes a seat next to Boomingham. "I've fared well! We finally took care of that Wren business. Well, some of us took care of it." Hoke fishes out the plaything orb from its pouch and hold it out for Boomingham to inspect. "What do you think of this?"

Hoke returns to the Hall after a walk about the city. He sees Skrall and Boomingham sitting together having a drink and chat. "Good day my friends!" Hoke says as he pats each of them on their backs.

Someone that hosts Hoke needs to drop some Mystic Knight armor with an SP & Ether boost & spell buff. :) Also, how about impenetrable armor with SP that cannot be pierced/ignored.

Hoke is working on more SP. Tried to get Zepher to let me turn the Zoot's Plaything into a shield or armor.

I am already working on my 2nd character & Hoke has a way out. Sooner than later if becoming a Dragoon because impossible for him.

If he does, it sure would help out his rep/legacy if he divied up his loot.

So how does Hoke best spend his 258 gp? Garnet, Counterstike Gloves & misc or Diamond, Amethyst & misc? Or sell something to get 22 gp and buy 2 gems and Counterstike Gloves? Decisions, decisions...

So what if, for instance, a Mystic Knight uses a diamond to spell attack a demon through a diamond/amethyst weapon? Normal or double damage?

If this is correct, then what is the advantage of having opposite gems merged into a single weapon or armor/artefact?

I still seem to be confused about merged opposite gems in a single weapon. Do they still do double damage vs weak enemies or is it canceled out? Can someone explain the math to me: WP: 10, Lvl: 10, Diamond & Amethyst merged. Damage vs Demon Damage vs Humanoid Thanks.

Sorry WBD! As much as I would like to sign up for your quest, I can't afford improved Hinckwell rep if I want to go Dragoon. Sandy & QMs awarding a level of XP: can the hero select when to gain a level or is it automatic?

The arguments and conversations of the Hall were distant specks of inaudible noise in Hoke's mind. He couldn't even feel the warmth of the flames anymore. The dark sphere spoke to him. The whispers were sometimes seductive, sometimes pleading, but always urgent. In a clear conscience moment, Hoke jerked his open palm upward into a closed fist. 'Not yet,' he thought to himself. The remaining whispers died away as he squeezed the orb and then he replaced it into the pouch tied around his neck. Tucking the pouch back into his shirt, Hoke looked up and saw a few new quests pinned to the Questboard Hoke signs up for Quest #66.
