    I would make it conditional too. If you succeed on the first try, do something else with the other turns. "As much as I agree with your sentiment, might we need to save or Phoenix Essence for the fights to come? We have no druid or life giving magic, and our collection of Phoenix Essence is low. Skrall, what do you say?"

A spellspin with 7 hits would take him down. It's a gamble. Only rolling a 5 would be detrimental to Hoke, but Gnash needs to be revived to fight later.)

    Huzzah! "Many thanks to you, sir," Hoke says to McColt. He stands up on shaky legs and steadies himself. Hoke rolls his neck and shoulders, bows and straightens his back and stretches his arms out past their natural reach. Each move produces loud pops and cracks. He lifts his visor, wipes the blood from his nose with the back of his gloved hand, winks at Vonnetate, and slowly closes the visor once more. Ruby, Vonnetate, Front Row. or Phoenix Essence, Gnash, Front Row. ?

    (Hoke should have 13 health). Hoke thought he gained some ground, but the warrior's flail knocks the wind out of him. He stumbles to his feet and attempts to heal himself again. Healing Staff, Self, Back Row (if remedied).

    Hoke ignites the cleric with a gout of phosphorous flame only to see a bolt's fletching quiver to a still in the cleric's forehead. The distraction cost him dearly as a rain of arrows fell upon him. Feeling he could use a little more protection to go after the leader, Hoke quickly slapped the twin swords into their sheathes and drew Vintul and his steel buckler. Ruby, Back Row, Vonnetate (com'on shield! all enchants go to Hoke's buckler)
