Went into the local Chapters book store and got the Target Practice speedorz set for 20% off plus an additional 5% w/rewards card.

For the Scorpions, would it be possible to have a piece fit between the body & legs that includes a tail w/stinger? As for the Spiders, what about a new design ala snake tail but with spidy legs and combo'ed alongside the added Garmadon bit for the added arms? (that assumes of course that LEGO wants them to have all 8 appendages...)

Picked up the Sky Dual Chima set w/Eagle & Raven speedorz, plus an even dozen Series 11 figs... ended up with 4x Constables, 2x Tki Warriors! , 1x Barbarian, 1x Scarecrow, 1x Crazy Cat Lady, 1x Yeti, 1x Holiday Elf & 1x Evil Mech.

At least they're only tiddlers... unlike Yellowstone.

Apparently the Oriels Baseball team wouldn't change their night game to an afternoon game or move it to another day to accommodate the Raven's season opener, meaning the NFL had to schedual them elsewhere... and the league figured a re-match vs the Broncos would make for an epic event.

Sweet! Thanks for that. Today I managed to pull in total; 2x Tiki Warrior, 4x Constable, 1x Grandma (aka crazy-cat-lady!), 1x Scarecrow, 1x Evil Mech, 1x Holiday Elf, 1x Barbarian & 1x Yeti. Only going to look for more Tiki's, a couple more Evil Mechs and another Constable + Scarecrow.

Can't wait for the season opener tomorrow night! Should be a really good match-up between the Ravens @ Broncos, especially considering how the O's being complete jerks about their shared stadium have forced the Ravens to open on the road... Hopefully I don't any more 1pt misses this year on my Proline Pools picks... (seriously, last year during Week 7, I was 1 freaking point away from winning about $5000!!! One. Stupid. Point! )

Does anyone know the exact breakdown of how many of each fig are in each box of 60? I spent about 20min today going through a brand new box at the local Mastermind Toys and only came up with 2 Tiki Warriors. Are they seriously limited to just 2 per box, or did I hopefully just rush through feeling the packs and miss another one or two?!?

They likely wouldn't, as we had quickly looked at the Eaton Center store and they had no such sale going on... After this last experience, I'll likely just avoid them like the plague as I find their pricing policy very, very dishonest. They'd even tucked at the very bottom of their 'sale' signs, in tiny print "All Sales Final" so that even if you'd realised afterwards you'd been scam'ed, you'd be SOL on getting anything done about it.

I must say that I really, really prefer this one over the early leaked pics of the new one coming out in the winter wave. Definitely won't be replacing either my 2 V-wings! As for my most recent purchases... I was super excited at first today to see ToysToysToys on the PATH to Union Station had a 40% off sale... then noticed that they'd jacked-up all their prices by 35-40% so that you'd end up barely saving penuts! not a happy camper as I was initially going to get another Droid Escape (Sand Troopers!!!) but then realised what a scam the store was running! (curse them!!!)

If the employees are forced to sign an NDA upon their hiring, then that means they do at least get some minor advance notice & that LEGO doesn't want them blabbing about it. When I worked for Games Workshop, who are also a company well known for their insane secrecy and not advertising anything, we at the store employee level would still know about 3-4 weeks in advance what the next big release would be, and thus, we were held to account by a fancy little NDA in order to help boost sales through impulse buying.

Besides Lego, I'm addicted to the plastic crack hobby known as Warhammer/40k. Currently working on my Daemons of Chaos & branching out some Alpha Legion & a custom Chaos Marine warband as allies. Also (very slowly) building up some of the piles of Skaven I've accumulated... (damn those rats just don't stop multiplying!)

Just out of curiosity, do we know yet what minifigures are in this year's advent calendar besides Santa Jango, Young Boba, Endor Rebel, Scout Trooper & Astromech Droid???

Picked up 2 more of the Endor Rebel & Imperial Troopers battlepack before they disappear for good... This now gives me 12 Endor Rebels, 6 Stormies & 6 Scouts in total. I really need more Stormies.

To those who would tell me that "you're too old to play with Lego", I simply reply, "your maturity is overrated." And then continue on my merry little way with purchasing whatever Lego I was intending to buy!

Argo is a farce, heck, Zero Dark Thirty is likely more accurate historically than Argo! I just don't see Affleck as Batman. Maybe as 'Bruce Wayne the egotistical jerk' sure, but not as either 'Batman the detective-genius' or as the darker 'Ragechild Batman with a grudge'...
