  1. *cough*daredevil*cough* That and all I can picture right now for the new Batman is an ADHD duck that sounds like Gilbert Godfrey...
  2. Well, there goes any possibility of a JL franchise...
  3. Figured I'd mention it here as well for of you Toronto area guys/gals - Chapters Burlington on Fairview Street has the new series 11 minifigs for sale!
  4. For Toronto area collectors, Chapters Burlington on Fairview St has Series 11 for sale! Picked-up the Barbarian, Gingerbread Man & Constable today.
  5. Watched Olympus Has Fallen again this past weekend - this time on dvd so my dad could it since he hates going to the theater... (something about the lack of a pause button and no vino/beer) Also watched The Core & Battle LA the other night. Can't help liking Aaron Ekheart, though I'm glade he seems to be forgoing anymore mindless chick-flicks.
  6. I must admit I'm kinda disheartened by the Deathstar Troopers BP... While I can finally get my mitts on the Royal Guard, it's not really a pack I'm going to want more than 2 of. Would have been nice if they did say 1 Royal Guard + 1 Stormie. I really need more Stormies
  7. Despicable Me 2 - yay for minion madness! And before that White House Down, just to see how bad it really could be... (answer: even worse than the previews promised it would be! )
  8. My fav from series 11 is easily the Tiki Warrior, though the Constable is a close second... I'll definitely be picking up 5-6 Tikies, and of course probably 4 Constables to go with my Detective from series 5 which will give me a psudo 'Ripper Street' TV themed set of figs!
  9. Just give me an Anubite Warrior/Anubis & Horus mini-fig please!
  10. My favourite part of the movie is the minions having their "let's get ice cream wasted!" party as they're all singing their version of an Irish drinking song!
  11. I love hearing this! Then I just point to my GW collections... Now THAT'S an expensive toy soldiers hobby!
  12. Thought I'd throw this out here, but it looks like Target stores are starting to put some selected Lego sets on Clearence, including the 2012 Star Wars TIE-Fighter & Platets Series 1 & 2... The TIE Fighter is down to about $46 while the Planets series are going for $5+change.
  13. Definitely the Warhammer 40k universe, as my goal would be to gain immortality as Daemon Prince sworn to mighty Tzeentch - the Changer of Ways, Master of Magic & the Great Mutator. (and because Tzeentch has a full dental plan, you just have to beware all that fine print though, as it's constantly changing all the time!)
  14. With the rumor of a new Hoth set/s, what does everyone think the odds are that we'd get a new AT-AT? I missed out on the last one, so honestly I really wouldn't mind a new one!
  15. The local Target store had just put their last 4 TIE Fighter sets down to $46 from their original $70, so like any good Imperial servant I grabbed one!
  16. Sadly no... As I said I'm having trouble re-finding the blog post I saw it mentioned in. Mind you, if I had to ballpark guesstimate it, I'd wager such a set would be at least $5 - $10 more than the 2012 TIE Fighter set which in Canada goes regularly for $69.99.
  17. I'm pretty sure I read a few days ago on a rumor post, (can't remember where now though!), about a possible new Darth Vadar's TIE-Fighter set coming out next year?! I hope it does materialise - I just picked up a second TIE Fighter from Target the other day on clearance price - saved about $26 on it!:D
  18. For once DB Wiess & Dave Benioff actually toned things down a bit... Which is a good thing judging by the sheer amount of angry internet raging still going on! I don't think anyone who hasn't read about the Red Wedding in the book could handle it if they stayed 100% true to how it really does go down.
  19. Oh, you mean all the internet butt-hurt that's still raging strong everywhere else?!lol Overall a great episode that did justice to that monumental event in the books. But if that whole affaire has left you somewhat traumatised... Don't go read about it in the book! Seriously, it's only about 100x worse in the book!
  20. Toys'R'Us has the new LotR & Castle stuff in, but Target has absolutely nothing new thus far... Heck, they aren't even stocking Series 10 of the Miifigures! (or at least, the Burlington stores aren't)
  21. Burlington, Ontario.
  22. An epic movie! I find I enjoyed much more than the likes of ID4 simply because there was little to no "USA saves teh WORLD!!!" raw-raw non-sense to it. Rather it was more or less focused simply on the marines themselves trying to survive in a nightmare'ish urban warzone. As a wierd fact; the movie is based off of an actual historical event - the great Los Angelos air raid by the Japanese during WWII. (the raid of course ended up hitting Peral Harbour instead of LA) That and it's pretty much a "Imperial Guard vs Tau" movie which the Warhammer nerd in me finds most satisfying!
  23. My other hobby is tabletop wargaming, so in terms of dealing with what others may think of me for collecting a few LEGO sets, I honestly couldn't give a flying rat's fart about their opinion. Sure I've gotten some strange looks from others when browsing down the LEGO aisle in stores sure, but it's my hobby/enjoyment which is all that matters to me. IMHO, the only thing you need as an adult is a sense of proper responsibility. Maturity on the other hand can go sulk like a Sad-Sad Panda for all I care! I keep all my stuff either in display cabinets or else on the higher shelves of my book cases due to my two little kittens. My friends will typically check out things like my little Minifig displays or ask to look at some of the asembled sets, but considering most of them have been/are still LEGO fans themselves and/or collect tabletop models as well, I'm not too worried about anything getting broken. I guess you could say I'm a total nerd and proud of it!
  24. So the only pollybags I've seen at our new Target store are for the LEGO Friends theme...*sigh* On the other hand, Target is supposed to be coming out with some super-duper-exciting flyer this coming week, so maybe there might be some decent deals on LEGO sets to celebrate their 'Grand' opening?!
