Does that mean that when I want to make a minifig representing some famous actor/musician/whoever I must ask his permission?
-
How many of these books are there in total? Is there any place you can see their scans, just like the ones of that first Lego pirate comic book?
-
Longer hull, one more sail, better way of connecting the rear sail, more crew :)
-
But it's much smaller and considering the presence of the rudder-turning mechanism the cabin in fact doesn't serve any purpose at all.
-
Well we've seen sets with minifigs held in prison, what's wrong with the idea of being banished and chained on a boat/raft then?

Which Official Pirate LEGO Sets Do You Have?
Dreamweb replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
That's fine by me: 1747 Pirates Treasure Surprise 6232 Skeleton Crew (about 10 of them) 6234 Renegade's Raft 6235 Buried Treasure (2 of them, I think) 6245 Harbor Sentry (2 or 3 of them, not sure) 6246 Crocodile Cage 6247 Bounty Boat (2 of them, I think) 6251 Pirate Mini Figures (1 or 2) 6252 Sea Mates 6257 Castaway's Raft 6258 Smuggler's Shanty 6260 Shipwreck Island 6259 Broadside's Brig 6263 Imperial Outpost 6266 Cannon Cove (2 of them) 6267 Lagoon Lock-up 6268 Renegade Runner (2 of them) 6271 Imperial Flagship (2 of them, but one without sails) 6274 Caribbean Clipper (2 of them) 6276 Eldorado Fortress 6280 Armada Flagship 6285 Black Seas Barracuda (3 of them) 6289 Red Beard Runner 6296 Shipwreck Island -
Then they can use the crocodile instead. It's not as cunning as the Spaniard.
-
No submarine but a cloaking device then. Even better... :)
-
Link one Link two Yeah, I'm getting more and more convinced that's him.
-
Randall Flagg, the embodied evil, this time taking the face of a cruel pirate.
-
No, first they should catapult the captured Spaniard, then the skeleton to get better aim and finally when the targetting sequence is over they'd catapult the pirate.
-
Since there are only two pirates they can flip the coin. There's also the skeleton but it'd be hard for him to explain himself once he's already landed. However he can be catapulted to attract attention, in a very brutal way.
-
Perhaps it's because they already invented a submarine? :)

What about this one: It's called Mutiny and it's a bit inspired by Norro's idea from Third pirate captain thread. This would include a ship, not a very huge one, wide hull with two middle sections. Apart from that it would contain two lifeboats, two sharks and eight pirates. The idea of this set is that the crew has mutinied and they have a new captain now. The old captain and two of his comrades are sent away on one of the lifeboats, in which they sit chained, and presumably are going to face death of hunger/thirst or be eaten by sharks or whatever. The sharks are swimming in circles around the boat, tempted by their possible prey. The other five pirates remain on the ship. Of course this scenario will be suggested by the set's name and the pictures seen on the box, and if you want you can just make a regular ship out of it, with happy crew which isn't eager to mutiny. The captain being sent to death can be Redbeard, but with his captain's hat removed (perhaps we'll see his hair?). The hat will be worn by the new captain (perhaps Rummy - I always liked that early Pirate-line minifig).

Carribean Clipper really isn't that small and weak. If you use all four gun ports and arm it with four cannons it will have about the same firepower as BSB and SES, but it's smaller so can be harder to hit. Then of course one can say that if you use SES's all gun ports you can have 8 cannons. The Imperial Flagship has four gun ports as well, however there isn't enough room to arm it with more than 2 cannons at the same time.
-
He meant it's too small to contain two lines' VIPs.
-
So these Lego pirate ships actually have toilets?
-
The BSB just has this specific dignity and magnificence the SES doesn't.
-
The set has this little device than can catapult mnifigs. I'm sure it's a great thing for kids to play with, however this raises a question - what purpose would such a mechanism serve on a ship, wrecked or not?
-
Well, that's true to the same degree as saying that Renegade Runner or Cross Bone Clipper cannot compete with Caribbean Clipper. It's the one magic ship that is neither big nor small :)
-
That's just a rule this set is supposed to break and that's exactly why I came up with its idea.

My list is updated again, check out page 3 of this thread! :) -
Got one today! No box (got it together with Red Beard Runner and everything was packed into this ship's box). The parts of these two sets were mixed, however! Black bricks were in one separate bag, white were in another... Now that's something I appreciate.
-
Now I can finally actually make this guy. The only thing that made it impossible for me to do it before was the lack of the proper head, however today I received two of them - one in each set I got.
-
I just received the Red Beard Runner! I must say there's one category in which this ship beats the rest. It's the crew. Three rare and great-looking torsos (two with anchor tatoos, one "Pirate Open Jacket over Brown Vest Pattern") plus great Ironhook's torso (though I still claim it's not Ironhook himself in this particular set) and equally great torso with "Pirate Green Vest, Shirt, and Belt Pattern", the one we've been discussing here. Now if only I get some free time and finish the construction of my merchantman, I'll start making a MOC based on some of this ship's parts (I already have a few ideas)!
