I just frontpaged it on Classic-Pirates.com, so I guess it can be moved down to the Pirates forum?
-
Very good, LuxorV, especcialy that Black Spidey costume is very nice...and of course that Studio Girl top too .That Studio Girl Top would look great in a fleshy color, luckily that is very easy to do yourself. The Torso Library is really beginning to expand...

Thanks for the praise guys! *Looks he can still login* Logs in. *Looks at his title and signature* Breaths in... O yes, it appears you do , it was because I know you have a sense of humor...and because of the white beard of course . Your recent reviews are very good too, I didn't even know that unreleased soldier impulse set existed!
-
The Pirates forum also covers other ages, like the Age of Sail in its entity, the napoleonic wars,... Actually, you can read this line beneath it: BTW: I wrote the article and it will be frontpaged as soon as the PTV-medium division entries are showcased (not very long thus). It looks good for you, so far (the voting) .

This would have made an excellent Impulse Pack set... Yes it lacks an enemy but that is quite common with Impulse Packs, I think you are supposed to buy two of them, one crownie and one sceleton pack. The best aspect of this unreleased set is that it has so many weapons, except for the catapult that is: a sword, a crossbow, and a halberd . Very good review, KimT.

Thanks, I hope KimT likes it as well . Poll added.

Another nice creation of you, hopeso009 ! Still i must admit I like the others better, especcialy the fire demon. Still good work and I hope you make more of these creative warriors.
-
The crownies are sooo dead . Your fire is done really well, but I would change one little thing: add a black or burning underground to your vignette, and then it looks he comes straight from hell (or is IN hell of course).
-
Yes they look great! Good to use in fantasy MOCs or even Brickwars if you are into that. And your other creations look good as well .
-
Yes, nice ramp and also a very good interior! I enjoyed watching the pics and YouTube video, thanks for the background intel . And that AT-TE looks fantastic as well. Any idea on how many bricks your MF counts?
-
Oh yes, this is very nice indeed! Do you mind I frontpage it on Classic-Pirates?
-
Yes I will do that, but first I need more men! But a diorama or battlefield certainly stands on my schedule.

20. Capt. Kirk - Walk the plank, you scabby dog 8. oDDerFisken - You or your girl? 12. Dreamweb - Killed in his sleep 1. Capt. kirk: His entry has a very cruel but realistic story behind it, and he managed to show us so many details (the bullet holes and the vegetation on the wall, that big palm tree,...) The balcony belongs to the very best I have seen in this contest (and that is saying a lot, knowing so many expert builders are participating!) I also like that big barrel the soldiers have to jump in and the guardhouse is pretty neat too. I had many doubt about who I should put in my top three but this one definately belongs here. 8. oDDerFisken: The cruelest of them all, I just couldn't leave this one out of my top-3! Also nicely finished and I like the poor girl awaiting her death...although it is not really pillaging, it certainly is in the PTV 'mood' . 12. Dreamweb: Another cruel entry, one that has many details and looks like an interior designed by an architect : the shark on that shelf, the rudder against the wall, the swords and the fireplace...and of course the blood on the floor of the decapitated head, MARVELOUS! Honourable mentions: 14. Erdbeereis1 - Murder In The Market! 16. SirNadroj - Quartering The Quartermasters Both of the above are worthy contestants but i'm afraid I only have place for three. Erdbeereis' medium entry looks fantastic and the two levels give it literaly an extra dimension. His statue and the sewers are my favourite parts of this entry. Only remark is the large 'blanc spot on the upper part of the house: I think it would look better if it was done in the same brown-grey style like the rest of the wall. SirNadroj's entry is another good Pirate/Soldier "tradition" that is represented very well. The blood on the pirate's cutlass, the palm tree and the balcony are the best parts IMHO. Why it isn't in my top-3? I'm afraid to say it lacks a (little) bit of imagination: so many entries already show us limbs that are being ripped or cut off, still it is one of the best and cruelest MOCs I've ever seen!

Review: 8960 Power Miners ~ Thunder Driller (Photos!)
Zorro replied to Dr Lucky's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Very good review, I don't seem to like the Power Miners series that much so far, but still I enjoyed reading your review. The 'cockpits' of the PM vehicles do look good though and the Rock Monsters remind me a bit of Fabuland minifigs, although I don't immediatly know why... Thanks for the effort! -
A very good review about a IMHO reasonably good set. It are just those high prices that hold me back from buying this kind of Creator sets (maybe I'll buy some if someone would ever build/release some good Pirate or Castle LEGO Creator "sets"...) Still it is a nice car and it has some good bricks of rare color. I also like the steering wheel and the fact it is 8 dots broad.
-
Yes, this MOC/entry is just awesome indeed! The townsgate building looks magnificent, with that knight-statue, its colors and choice of bricks. The hanging in the last pic of the 'story' looks very realistic, and the minifigs are well-chosen and good placed. A very big from me, mrts! and I can say I am following this contest from the first row!

I made a new addition to my army! I bought some new soldiers and used them for my British foot guards. (see picture 5)

Which pieces would you like to see in future pirate sets?
Zorro replied to Shadows's topic in LEGO Pirates
New hats (primarely shako's), but also additional weapons would prove useful. Personnaly I could really use a cavalry version of the LEGO pistol mostly a lot longer then the standard pistols). The self-made items you have shown in that other thread of yours did look great, so I am confident you will do a good job! -
Congrats to you, Aaron Morse! Your Sherman M4 looks great and the other one next to it (the Stug I presume?) looks fantastic as well, i like how you put all those soldiers on top of it. Did the Sherman's come in that color of Grey? I thought they were greenish or brown? But I could be wrong of course. I like the smoke-effect too, although it would look better with a good (blue horizon?) background, but that's a lot of work, I know . keep 'em coming!

Very nice review, Guss, but I guess you already knew that Your detailed pictures come in real handy, and now I have a very good idea about the pro's and con's of Brickbeards Bounty, thanks to you and Svelte_Corps! If you have more reviews of this caliber, please feel free to post them, I think no one will object to that .
-
Yes, looks very nice, although I know absolutely nothing about that Assasins game/movie/comic/? I especcialy like how you used those minifigs against the walls and the front and tower of the church are neat too .

Hi there Iron Corsair, welcome to the Eurobricks community! Please enjoy your staying here and have fun.

Another 'lurker' Hi there Zorbas, welcome to Eurobricks, I hope you will have a lot of fun here!

Yes, I would remove the tape on the sails too, but for the rest you did an outstanding job, Commander Laquiet! I especcialy like your interior and the cannon post on top of it! Having so many details really provides a realistical effect.
