  1. You may have won this battle, my fellow Americans, but count yourselves lucky that us Canadians gave you back Maine. In all seriousness though, this is a fantastic build. The War of 1812 just doesn't get enough attention, so it's always refreshing to see something commemorating it.
  2. Received safe and sound, hard to believe this was a raffle for Christmas! Time flies. Thanks a million CopMike, you're the best!
  3. Wow, that's amazing! I love your custom redcoat flag. You've put so much thought and detail into the many play features, it's really awesome. I like the orange and white cliffs as well, and the fort design is very cool. To me it's more of a Spanish style fort that one would see guarding the shores of a harbour, because it doesn't have the much more common start fort design. Unique, detailed, beautiful. Stupendous work.
  4. Lovely work on all the models. You've captured much of the historical detail in a simple and effective manner, with nice clean lines. Great work!
  5. Good Lord Almighty. Your building skills never cease to amaze me.
  6. I love the mixture of a classical "London Bridge" portal combined with the slightly more modern suspension bridge. Beautiful details you've added to liven up the scene, especially those canoes. The trees also look great. Overall, amazing build.
  7. Every office in the world needs one of these to relieve employees' from walking. This is awesome, apparently, where we're going, we don't need roads.
  8. That figurehead is awesome.
  9. Although I can't comment on the legality of the instructions, I can tell you that there should not be a problem with posting MOCs that use custom parts. Lots of people, including myself, use things like Brickarms when building, so as far as I'm aware you shouldn't have any problems with that.
  10. CopMike, I think I love you. Thanks so much for doing this every year, you're awesome.
  11. Awesome! I freaking love it, it's adorable.
  12. Awesome! I love the details on the fountain's edge, wonderfully festive colour choices. The statue is also awesome. Great work!
  13. Nice! Beautiful design, and it's the perfect size. The red seat and silver lightsaber handles are perfect additions to the menacing black body.
  14. Cool old classic carriage. Love the dark red as a colour choice. Lovely gold elements highlight the regality of the train as a whole. Nice job!
  15. Holy crap, that's big! I like how you've kept a nice classic feel to this but used some really great and modern building techniques to really bring this all to life. Great work!
  16. All these years and we've only gotten one truly impressive navy ship. I get that younger kids find it more fun to play with pirate ships and hunt for buried treasure, but wouldn't an Imperial ship be equally as fun and give the pirates something to shoot at? I don't know, it just seems like Lego "cheaps out" on their "good guys." Take for example, the Armada Flagship... Ugh. If the new pirates theme goes anywhere beyond a first wave, I hope Lego will give us a nice royal galleon or something. Now enough with my rant. So, if you had to choose between the two, would you rather own a pirate ship or a navy ship? Let me know in the poll. Any other enlightening thoughts would be much appreciated.
  17. http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/401303 (Sorry for the link spam) Well, it wold be awesome to be the captain of my own (incredibly Christmas colour clad) ship for Christmas! Didn't have time to finish anything but the forward half of the bridge. Sometimes I hate weekdays. Ah, and my only wish greater than some more Lego is that everyone on this planet forget their differences for even just one day and enjoy Christmas. Have a very, very Merry Christmas everyone, and a Happy New Year. EDIT: I nearly forgot, CopMike, you're the freaking best for making this beloved holiday tradition a reality every year. You're awesome, thanks so much.
  18. Lovely, I don't think I've ever seen a blue hood like that. Do you remember where you procured it? ('Tis a shame it would be too meticulous to build those crossbow hidden blade thingies).
  19. Haha, mashing the grapes. Great MOC, I love the details, and the cottage is lovely, looks very cozy.
  20. Wow! Amazing roof and stonework! Great foliage, and that arsenal looks pretty menacing. The armoruy is a nice touch. Awesome/Fantastic/Superb Work!
  21. Haha! Nice vignette. Simple yet effective, and funny. Great work on the fall colours.
  22. Great lighthouse! It reminds me of a classical antiquity style lighthouse, like the famous one in Alexandria, Egypt. It's a unique style to blend in with the modern world you've got running back there. Awesome job!
  23. Great to see this initiative continuing. Cheers.
  24. Cool, I dig the DHL logo, the letters look very nicely flowing.
  25. "Unofficial" Meh, I'd only spend my money on Lego authorized literary productions.
