Interesting DVD tie-in. Hmmm.... Maybe a couple LOTR sets in the big boxset of EEs. -

I think it is designed so that you don't have to take apart the Managers, just the transforming vehicle.- 2,626 replies

Minas Tirith or Erebor for the 2000 piece set.

Really I don't think arm printing is that necessary on LOTR figs. The TMNT need armbands though. Printed hobbit feet would be nice.

I think NECA does. Not exactly sure. -
I just got two- Hard Hat Emmet and Taco Tuesday Guy. I LOVE THEM. Emmett's hair/hat piece is cool (why can't that be normal?), his magazine is very reuseable, and his faces are cute. Taco Tuesday is THE BEST CMF. ever. Awesome sombrero, awesome poncho, didn't expect printed taco plate! These so amazing. Hopefully next I will get Scribble-Face Bad Cop.

Could somebody make the Prancing Pony sign? http://lotr.wikia.com/wiki/The_Prancing_Pony

Totally. He was HUGE in the movie. $130 set, brick-built Smaug, small dock with arrow shooter, Bard minifigure. Flagship set. (even though 1 minifig is too little for an $130 set. Maybe it could be a small pile of gold, the Arkenstone, DOS Bilbo, and lots of dwarves instead.)
-
So I saw DOS again a few days ago and I'm wondering...Lego has to make two big sets: Smaug, and Erebor. So do you think maybe Smaug would be a $130 set and Erebor maaaaaybe a $200 D2C?

Being a Tolkien fan, (well duh) I would say the Council of Elrond set is a very good display piece. Also it would get you a Frodo and a Gimli. Mirkwood Elf Army has a less iconic (actually it wasn't in the movie) build but has very good minifigs. Restaurant. Totally. Now I have a question. I have around $200 to spend. I definitely am getting Lake-town Chase (it's the only LOTR/Hobbit set I don't have) but I also might get a second LOTR Black Gate or the TMNT Baxter set before it retires. (When do you think it will?) Also I want a Lego Movie set. I have my eye on the Bad Cop set and the Super Cycle Chase. What should I get?

ARE YOU SERIOUSLY KIDDING ME. THEY MADE THE CORSAIR SHIP. THE CORSAIR SHIP. c'mon Lego. If that wave was the LAST LOTR WAVE, that's sad. Really sad. I was so sure that they intended to have a big wave but cut it in half. But this.... hopefully we get more. WE MUST GET MORE. -

I saw this movie again. And it was awesome, again. I love this movie. Though it could be called "the Desolation of Prosthetic Orcs" I noticed this time Bilbo doesn't get the Arkenstone. So I wonder how it's going to play out in the third with..certain events. Also I bought the soundtrack which is so awesome.
-
Even though I won't buy it because I don't like the Simpsons, that's a pretty cool set. I think Lego handled this license right with one, cool, adult set rather than a wave of small sets for kids. They totally get their audience with this one. Except the CMF series. Why.
