Oh, that`s great. I`ve thought about using the Twilight as a personal ship but eventually I didn`t actually buy the set. What you have done there is pretty much what I might have attempted: floor, better guns, better cockpit and some more detailing. But I must say this is probably much better than what I would have ended up with. I am only guessing but maybe the M8 is attached with one of these.

It is actually visible in the high resolution picture you have got on Brickshelf, that is actually where I spotted it.

This is completely off the current discussion but has anyone else noticed the mistakes on the cover of that visual dictionary and the 10th anniversary poster? On the cover image of the book there is a Wookiee minifig and underneath it says Chewbacca, it`s not Chewy though but rather the other Wookiee from the Catamaran set, I think it was supposed to be Tarfful. And on the poster General Madine (last fig in the seventh line) is called Nadine. I was wondering whether anybody else had noticed these awkward mistakes on TLG`s side.

Now that seems interesting. If I am getting this right, there is talking of a big, special, secret set for this year AND something special for the 30th anniversary of ESB. Sounds promising.

MOC: Modified YT-2000 Corellian Transport
Commander_Rob replied to Knightsword's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Looking really good there, this is really accurate to the real thing although the thickness of the round cockpit corridor-thing varies slightly between the fuselage to the cockpit itself but thats hard to recreate in Lego and it doesn`t really matter anyway. Personally I am not quite fond of the white on it but its your ship so that is just a personal opinion. PS: Does the ship have a name? -
These look really cool right there, Sandtroopers are my favourites. Anyway, how did you photograph these, digital camera with macro setting?

I just keep the as they are, no modding, nothing. I`ve made a regulation though, all Republic and Imperial personnel should be flesh coloured to make them more uniform, especially the Imperial officers. Apart from that they are all mixed, but only for the Rebels it really matters, the only humans in my CIS are Dooku from Solar Sailer and Jango who might be better with a fleshie version of his normal face.

Looks really cool, I always like this kind of light freighters, especially some beds (I guess thats what the green areas in the wing are). Oh and what letters of the alphabet are you still missing out on?

The Medium Scout Vehicle/tracked C4 "Wolf", known as "Greyhound" during certain prototype phases where it showed a shocking lack of hull strength, was employed by the Grand Army of the Republic in some battles of the Clone Wars, especially during the first year of the war. Although classified as a scout, the `Wolf` was often used as a troop transport or even as a light assault vehicle when equipped with additional weapons like missile launchers or repeating blasters. The basic scout version shown here has a light repeater mounted forward of the to hatch as its only armament and was used in the Battle of Praesitlyn and on the flanks of the Republic army on Jabiim. Play features: working suspension, two opening hatches (top and back) and moving gun. Front, with bumper Back, note the clearance Left side, top hatch closed, showing the low profile of a scout vehicle Right side, hatch opened and gunner in position Top view, hatch closed again Notes: *Suspension heavily based on this. *298 pieces plus two minifigs. *Link to GALLERY (click subfolder "Details" for some additional pics)

Wow, checking back after roughly 24 hours this thread has really grown. To say something not everyone can claim: my collection includes the Death Star playset. I wonder how many more people on this forum have bought it...

A while ago I got the idea to add the prices of all of my Lego Star Wars sets together to see how much money I had spent on it. To ease calculation I made the list of my sets in MS Excel and had the program add the MRRPs multiplied with how often I own the set. I would be interested if anyone has done a similar thing and I would really like to see how much other people have spent on their collection. I shamelessly declare my collection consists of 93 sets with a worth of 3.896,29 € .

I think what he is about with the Chewy fig is that the black nose dot might be a little too low so its more on the lip than nose. On the misprinted Clonetrooper heads: I think this problem arose with the new CW sets of this year. All Troopers I got from the first wave (AT-TE, Fighter Tank, V-19 and Spider Droid) are correct, all of these sets were bought during 2008. Yet all Clones from newer sets (RAS, AAT, Battlepacks) have misprinted faces, some looking to the left, some to the right.

Dutch VOC ship the Prins Willim, minifig scale!
Commander_Rob replied to Captain Green Hair's topic in Pirate MOCs
Wow, really impressive, possibly the best Lego ship I have seen yet. I keep my fingers crossed for you to get this done the way you want it to be. -
I went to the city yesterday and finally bought 2009 Star Wars sets : -2 Clone BPs -Assassin Droids BP -AAT -Republic Assault Shuttle plus Power Miners mech-thingy and the two Pirate impulse sets. A total of over 160€.

If you collect Lego Star Wars you will probably have a Super battle droid. And some of you might think its a little boring just like that. Here is how you can add jetpacks and other equipment to a SBD: You need: A droid (of course), the smallest technic pin and anything you want to add to the droid. Just put the pin into this hole on the back of the droid and DONE!! Examples of stuff to add include: various jetpacks, antennas and whatever you can think of. You can even copy these.

Thanks for the replies everybody, whoever wants to use the turret design (or variations) may do so if credit it given. Thanks also for the suggestions, I might incorporate them into future redesigns. And about the colours: The Y-Wing Anakin and Ahsoka fly has a paintjob that greatly differs from that on the fighters of the clone pilots, my MOC has a mix of both, mostly due to the limited supply off parts I had handy and some artistic licence.

I know, they could be a bit thicker and longer but that is hard to do without getting the overall proportions wrong.

When I first heard of Y-Wings being in the new The Clone Wars Tv-series I thought that was a great idea, giving that classic Star Wars ship a deeper history. Then I got the visual dictionary to the series and saw pictures of the ship. That inspired me to build it in Lego, long before the preliminary pictures of the official set showed up. I sued fragments from my Rebel Y-wing (Notably engines and part of the cockpit) and built the rest from scratch. So here it is now in all its bricky goodness The empty spaces in the engines were "filled" with every round piece I could find. I added these guns on the side for extra firepower and detailing, these are supposed to be Ion cannons. How the laser turret was done: the guns are held by magnets. Bit of extra detailing on the engines. Underside: there is landing gear that folds out, torpedo launchers and floodlights. Comparison with V-Wing to give a sense of scale. Phase II pilots fly this fighter and operate the weapons with the assistance of an Astromech. Brickshelf gallery when public. Hope you like, please comment.

I am not entirely sure what kind of jetpack you mean but to me it looks like Boba`s/Jango`s jetpack without helmet.
-
Very nice.Play features, interior, greatly realised in Lego. This would have been better to have than the Hyena bomber (with the same jetdroids though). One thought: You could build a Republic escape pod to be attacked, like in "Rising Malevolence".

About the need for a minifigure index: various Brickshelf users have also photographed minifigs and put them up: Here is an example. And here too. EDIT: And I`ve just found This

Well, everyone could buy so many battlepacks with the money needed but that someone actually does so bothers me a bit, he must have went to every toy shop in his area to get 18 of them and he wants four more, I don`t know, that is a bit of overkill. I will get some of those battlepacks too though, a maximum of maybe five over the course of the year.
-
I will probably get one of these so, together with the one from Slave I, I have four silver ones as IG-88 A, B, C and D. Not sure what to do with the black ones though.
-
Great review, equally great set. There could have been a few more clones but, well there is battlepacks for that. I must say that with TWO bomb-, missile-related functions this an assault shuttle and the fact that the cockpit really fits two is great. As is said in ReZourceman's review, it is not really TLG`s fault that it is so multicoloured, it DOES look like that.

Review : 8019 Republic Attack Shuttle
Commander_Rob replied to ReZourceman's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Really good review, the video was a nice bonus, I imagined some kind of shooting mechanism like that, similar to what was in those Viking catapults. I will get this set, despite some of the problems. You shouldn`t blame the multicolourness on TLG though, they just reproduced what is in the series:
