Absolutly. My thought was just that among trees a bit taller, the ship might be easier to hide, else it would be sticking out a bit if all the trees around are only half its height PS: republicFORCES: He would not have to build a `G`-ship, there is an actual Star Wars ship with G in the name although it is a pretty old design.

Good reviews, and even though I agree with you in most points I thought I had to make a few comments: Republic cruiser/frigate: I agree the militarized cruiser would make a great MOC, or rather makes, I remember seeing one on Brickshelf in a diorama, the ship crashed, stuck in the ground almost vertically. I can`t seem to find it now but if someone knows what I mean... Battledroids: Well, what can I say, I never saw why they would be casually talking to one another, they are all controlled by the same central computer, they all have the same knowledge and personality. What also horrified me about TCW battledroids was their downright stupidity, in one episode droids were absolutely puzzled when grenades were thrown at them, they even picked them up, not likely for droids programmed solely for combat. Individual clone haircuts: If they actually were individual... The same looks reappear over and over again, I remember at least three clones with the "parallel red stripes"-thing and also a few with the same tattoos in the exact same places.

I like it, and I`m guessing the "F" is visibly from the side. I fear though that this ship will be hard to cover, although Kashyyyk trees are usually a bit higher than that.

Something based on "Senate Hostage Crisis" would be cool, I like the idea. That might get us some nice mingfigs: -Senate Commandos (well, they exist but....) -Commando Battle Droids -Cad Bane and the rest of the bounty hunters -IG-86 droids (would probably the same generic "Assassin droids")

I`ve only played TFU once and I wasn`t really impressed, nice game and all but I will continue to hate it as long as there is no PC version. So, I don`t think there will be any more sets, the Rouge Shadow came as a bit of a surprise to me already and I cannot say I`m keen on more sets. If any I`d like a TIE Fighter construction facility: a bit of hallway, some Stormies, some Kota militia and a control room with General Kota and Starkiller.

After several pages of set discussion there is not much for me to say. Just this: Tantive IV: WANT WANT WANT but seriously, I like it. The interior could be better but there is an office and dining room on the upper deck of that ship. Apart from that I noticed that the US page of S@H says it is available from the 9th of September while the pages for European countries say 25th of August. Hmh. Comic Con Exclusives: I hate them. I absolutely hate them. Because I can`t get them. Anyway the Madine/Ackbar/Luke set seems to be the only one desirable and the Mini Dropship.... well, so what, I`m not into Minis, it doesn`t bother me much. EDIT: Oh and the book: we knew the minifig would be Yavin Ceremony Luke so.....

What Sets Have You Gotten For The Actual Set/Vehicle
Commander_Rob replied to AoNZ's topic in LEGO Star Wars
OK, let`s see: -both AT-TEs -new AT-AT, but I liked the old one too -Millenium Falcon -Imperial Stardestroyer, well partially, also for Tarkin -AT-ST (new) -Imperial Landing Craft -AT-AP -Republic Fighter Tank, even though at the time two white clones were a nice thing to have -Death Star, about 50-50 figures and set, maybe a bit more in favour of the figs -X-Wing & Yoda`s Hut (for the X-Wing!) Apart from that, everything that I have and that contains just rather generic figs, like most starfighters. -
I`m back from holidays and I must say, I am truly amazed by what has been going on here, a lot of cool pictures here. Anyway, here are some that I took: Jango vs. Mace Not a perfect shot but on that day the wind was incredibly strong, the figs kept on falling over. Special Operations Clonetrooper under the scorching sun of a desert planet (actually a beach, like all my pictures with sand backgroud). Was harder to take than it looks, I actually dug a hole into the ground to take this one, long story... Comments appreciated.

Great to see this has come to life again, I got one last pic before I go on holiday tomorrow (where I will probably take some more): Scouttrooper: `What was that noise?` Greetings to all fellow Lego Photographers!

To my knowledge there is no comparison chart or anything that shows different UCS models together and, as far as I know they greatly vary in scale, with even some minifig-scale vehicles like the motorized AT-AT or the Sandcrawler being called UCS-sets. However I don`t know too much about the topic but there are members of this forum who have specialized on this scale so they might be able to help you.

When you do this again next year, remind me to join in, this is impressive!

Will do Skipper 24, but with this one I noticed when I had already uploaded the huge high-res version to Brickshelf, so... Anyway I will try to remember next time.

Nice review, thanks WhiteFang. I am not really sure about this set, the planes look OK, but the Pilatus/Figter plane is kinda ... dunno, the design is not that good, the cockpit is open on the sides, it sits so low above the ground, could have been done better.

Just had to post a quick one with new set I bought today: Jettrooper chose a bit of a bad position to land. PS: Forgot to resize, sorry.

Nice Snow Effect on these pictures, I`d probably get some problems if I emptied a whole bag of sugar to photograph some Lego. PS: @ KimT: I`ll probably resize my pictures when I upload some more, problem is automatic resizing takes some time to kick in.

Top 10 Star Wars minifig favourites
Commander_Rob replied to Commander Assassin's topic in LEGO Star Wars
In the order in which they came to my mind: 1. Scouttrooper - Really, I think this is my favourite variant of Imperial armor. 2. Kashyyyk Trooper - It is a variation on the Scout theme. With printed legs. So yeah. 3. Commander Fox, representing all of the TCW Clones - Superb detailing, helmet accessoires, great possibilities customs,... 4. New Darth Vader, as in Death Star and TIE Advanced Chrome Vader, I have one now!- Much Better then the old design. 5. Jango Fett - Really what shall I say, apart from: really looks better with dark blue arms and legs instead of, well, let`s face it: purple. 6. IG-88 - Could have been done much better but with straight arms from TCW assassin droids he can at least hold his weapon in a decent way. 7. Rebel Trooper - The First Humans to appear on-screen in SW. And it took TLG nine years to make them. 8. Kit Fisto - Coolest Jedi fig ever. Seriously. 9. Clone Wars Count Dooku - He looks SO much like in the series. And so... evil. 10.Chewbacca - Who couldn`t love a big, furry teddy bear? EDIT: Now that I have a Chrome Vader my opinion on him has changed of course. [i didn`t include any chrome figs or the Cloud City Boba for the simple reason that I don`t have them. And that makes me dislike them in a way. ] -
Nice! Maybe I`ll copy the design. I have attempted to build one using a Clone visor for the head but it didn`t really work out...
-
Now that is one cool droid, I might copy the design. Also I must agree, it would be nice to see a tactical droid from you, I find these really hard to build.
-
I thought I`d just put up some more of my pictures, here you go: Kashyyyk Trooper asking himself where he ended up (it`s the Rhine): Of-Topic but here is a stranded pirate: PS: these Brickarms Gaffi Sticks are pretty good, I`ve got one too.

Good review, I am unsure whether I will buy this set, it really is expensive. Rotating turret? Not that hard: I`ve done it.

[Review] 8038 - The Battle of Endor
Commander_Rob replied to Navy Trooper Fenson's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Great review really and I love this set, one can never have too many Scoutroopers (I have 3 + Kashyyyk trooper). It seems I really need this set now: Rebel soldiers (everyone needs target practice), Scouts and a walking AT-ST. About the AT-ST`s legs looking like a chicken´s: It has been called "chicken-walker" -
Great review. And a good set too, too bad my local TRU doesn`t pre-release any sets, they just reduce prices one week after I buy a big set. PS: E-WEB stands for Emplacement WEapon, heavy Blaster if I remember that correctly.

Review: 8036 Separatists Shuttle
Commander_Rob replied to Navy Trooper Fenson's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Great review and a good set too. I saw this coming when I spotted your pictures on Brickshelf this morning. My only complaint about this set is that Gunray is grey when he really should be green, sand green even. -
With this huge load of inspiration, I couldn`t resist and I took some similar photos myself. Darth Maul on a beach during easter holidays. "I have failed. This is not the planet of Tatooine." And because everyone loves these guys: M8. Credit for the M8 goes to Don Solo. Here are his instructions.

I found the game pretty fun to play, a bit simple, but good for an online game. My end score was 14900 and a bit, don`t remember the exact number. The only problem that I see is that an non-US keyboard layout the "X" key is inthe bottom right corner and the "Z" is next to "T" so you have to twist your fingers a bit.
