  1. That detailed information is exactly the same as we have, there isn't anything new. So either they've seen the exact same picture as we did, or a slightly less crumpled version of the same picture ;)
  2. Sand red or salmon would be nice... but really, we are so spoiled with all the colors in the current palette.
  3. There are plenty of clues. Second floor is likely an old-style gym with punching bag(s) and weights, third floor is likely a recording studio or radio station.
  4. TLG generally doesn't operate at all on weekends. Even if some of their employees did see this, they wouldn't do anything about it before Monday. Star Wars leaks and other Disney licensed properties are handled with a bit more haste since Disney lawyers may be involved...
  5. One thing... why does everyone think this is dark turquoise, when it could just as easily be medium azur? The other colors on the photo are far from clear, so it could be an issue with saturation and lighting when the photo was taken.
  6. The only modular to ever feature non-basic faces was Market Street, and that was technically not a regular modular building but a Factory set (similar to Ideas sets we get now). Of course, TLG itself considers it a part of the modular street.
  7. 80s? In what way? It's a 1920s-30s style building with a 1950s style diner.
  8. You're right - it could be an indication that this is a fake.
  9. I'm not so sure it doesn't have separation between floors. It's possible that they came up with a new technique that allows separation to be invisible on the front facade.
  10. It's an Art Deco building, they are from the 1920s and 1930s. It fits the time period nicely and will look good in a block with American-style buildings (Fire Brigade, Pet Shop, Palace Cinema, Detective Office)
  11. From Jamie himself, at the presentation he held during 2016 Skaerbaek Fan Weekend (or the one before, I don't recall exactly).
  12. This year's modular is Assembly Square. Next year's modular will be known shortly (i.e. in the next month or so). There is no evidence whatsoever that LEGO considers Ninjago City (a SUPERB set, but not a modular in the classic sense) a part of the Creator Expert modular building line. Jamie has draft designs for next 10 years worth of modulars ready, so unless something changes (like their sales drop off), there is no reason to believe the line will end.
  13. That doesn't mean anything. BMW is a well recognized trademark, which didn't stop Chinese from copying BMW cars and just changing the logo. Same goes for Apple.
  14. No, it's a Winter Village set, not a highly realistic and detailed Creator Expert train like Emerald Night, Maersk, and Horizon Express. Maersk came out in 2011, the same year as 3677 which is also a cargo train so we have some precedent.
  15. Maybe a new Creator Expert train? We're overdue.
  16. They WANT people to postpone buying huge sets until after Christmas because January otherwise has horrible sales and this provides a boost. Besides, people are going to buy stuff for Christmas ANYWAY, so they end up with more money total.
  17. He only picked top 10 most expensive sets, Old Fishing store is under $150.
  18. Huh, TLG may be releasing more and more expensive sets, but there are actually fewer ones I'm interested in. 2014: Sea Cow (on wanted list), Cargo Train, Simpsons House, Parisian Restaurant 2015: Helicarrier, Ferris Wheel, Temple of Airjitzu, Kwik-E-Mart, City Square, Detective's Office 2016: Disney Castle (on wanted list), Firehouse HQ, Classic Batcave (on wanted list) 2017: Ninjago City (ordered), Assembly Square, Carousel (ordered) Looks like 2015 was my sweet spot for expensive sets...

  20. The shape is perfect! How stable is it?
  21. The cheapest is probably Pick A Brick (for small parts that you can stuff a lot of in a cup) and TLG's LUGBULK program (1/year, must be a member of one of the participating RLUGs). Other than that... follow Bricklink and seize good deals.
  22. Much better than the default model :)
  23. Yeah, for 4-wide I think it would work better if the height were reduced by 1-2 bricks
