  1. "Hmm...anything to do with the Kingdom of Azzurat in the south- some heroes are on a quest there right now?"
  2. "Yes. I think you were at the Library when I signed up. What's that book about?"
  3. "OK." Avalanche wonders whether the quest failed, or possibly whether Throlar's actions embarrassed or shamed him. "I wonder when we'll hear whether we were chosen or not."
  4. I agree with this. I buy LOTR/Hobbit sets, change the minifigs' heads and hands to yellow and use them alongside Castle/Kingdoms. I only have 3 LOTR/Hobbit sets- Uruk-Hai Army, Bag End and Dol Guldur Ambush. I plan to buy Mirkwood Elf Army as well. Since the orcs/Uruk-Hai aren't flesh-skinned, they work fine. I have parted out all the LOTR sets I own (save Bag End) and use the parts for MOCs. I agree that the Kingdoms line was much better than the current Castle one. Sadly, I was only able to buy the chess set (having missed the others). I have two of the current Castle sets and have demolished them all for parts. The new faces are pretty cool, but I'm not so keen on the emphasis on bright blue for the heroic faction.
  5. "Yeah, you'd better. I didn't need one because I'm a barbarian, but it's basically essential for all other classes." Avalanche turns to see Throlar approaching. "Avalanche. I joined while you were on a quest, I think. How many quests have you been on? I've been on two and the Fields of Glory as well..."
  6. "It means that only 6 heroes can go on the quest. You might not be chosen." OOC: Nic herring, you need a picture for Nain or else you can't go on the quest.
  7. "His abilities are impressive. Those pumpkin-things, chickens and white rabbits didn't stand a chance!"
  8. "Well, we were fighting rats- and you never know what rats might be infected with...and zombies aren't exactly clean...but I'm sure alligators, scarecrows and pumpkins aren't infested with anything," remarks the yeti.
  9. I'd have to go with MEA for the figs, even though I like LTC's build.
  10. "I'll go back to the Fields if I don't get on this quest," puts in Avalanche
  11. Sorry *bows* I will use 'most town-ish of towns' from now on
  12. I just thought they seemed the most town-like from their posts in the earlier day threads. By 'towniest', I meant I was more sure that they were town than anyone else. I was surprised when neither of them turned out to be town, that's all.
  13. I've been following this game as it progressed. I hope to get into the next Mafia School game and I wanted to pick up tips and tactics from reading an actual Mafia game (I also read Minimal Mafia and Mafia after Dark). I'm surprised by how it ended. I originally thought the scum were def, Palathadric, Bob, Scubacarrot and LegoDad. Hinckley, fhomess and WhiteFang came as surprises to me...
  14. "Pretty cool. We fought zombies, direwolves, demonic scarecrows, hungry bears and possessed pumpkins, to say the least! I was knocked out twice, admittedly, but still, we had a good time. You should have seen Romulus. He single-handedly wiped out all the enemies on Round 1 of our battle in the pumpkin patch. I'm going to be a Raider when I reach level 15. But it's still possible that you could get on 93. I really want to..." He turns to Nain, "Hi, I'm Avalanche. Who are you?"
  15. Avalanche scans the hall, looking for familiar faces. He sees some people he has quested with, both in the Fields and in the Marketplace, and he sees his friend Heckz, wearing a stupid-looking jester's hat. Resisting the urge to laugh, he continues looking around. The only other person he can see is an unfamiliar dwarf. Must be new around here. Avalanche takes a sip of his cider.
  16. Avalanche re-enters the hall and orders some cider from the bar. He pads over to the nearest table and sits down, scanning the room.
  17. Well done kabel!
  18. As he hurries out of the Fields, Avalanche drops the Gladiator Trident with a note saying 'thank you' tied to its handle.
  19. Avalanche strides into the Marketplace. He begins by purchasing a nostrum and a smelling salts from Portia. Then, he visits Anwyl's and has Trollsbane upgraded to WP:6. Finally, he buys a pair of Counterstrike Gloves and some Heavy Armour from Fabian. Finally, he sells his silver ore for 60 gold, leaving him with 130 gold. 35 + 25 + 60 + 80 + 230 = 430 500 - 430 = 70 70 + 60 = 130
  20. Avalanche throws open the Hall's doors once more, this time with a haversack bulging with various potions and the suchlike that he had acquired at the Fields. He had returned early in the hope of getting a place on a new quest. Seeing the questboard, he immediately signs up for Quest#93. After signing his name, he leaves once more for the Marketplace, to spend his newfound gold.
  21. "I'm not homesick. I just want to get on some certain quests." Avalanche returns to Missy the Pig's hut to make some purchases, "Could I please cash in 55 Glory Points for 500 gold and a Phoenix Incense? I'm rather short on cash at the moment." He leaves the fields with 1 GP left. Thanks, Sandy and CMP!
  22. Oh, sorry My mistake. "Could we please return to the Hall now?" asks Avalanche, "I'd kinda like to get on one of those new quests..." Can I have a Smelling Salts and a Silver Ore if that's OK? I'd be happy with a Lightning Bomb also.
