  1. "Why doesn't Throlar use his? I'm stronger in attack and Throlar's more likely to get KO'd at some point than I am." Nevertheless, Avalanche uses a phoenix essence on Eric from the back row. If Throlar uses an essence instead, he repeats his attack from the back row. OOC: Put me lower in the Battle Order if we're taking Free Hits please.
  2. Avalanche attacks Zombie Paladin Axeman B with Trollsbane, this time from the back row.
  3. I signed up at Level 8. I did fine and advanced four levels, after fighting seven battles.
  4. Avalanche swings Trollsbane at Zombie Paladin Axeman A from the front row. OOC: We'll be taking two free hits this round. Eric and Althior should probably take them, having the highest HP. Can undead be harmed by normal weapons or not?
  5. "I hate the undead, and that's exactly why I joined, to send them back to where they belong- oblivion. I'm not afraid of them at all. I'm fine with you being Party Leader, but I'm just worried that you might refuse to strike down a fellow necromancer, if that is what we are facing. Aside from that, I think I was rather too hasty in accusing you, so I retract my vote for Eric. I don't mind who gets to be Party Leader."
  6. "Violet- were the thugs human or undead? If the latter, were they paladins?" Avalanche then says aside to Eric in a low voice so the zombie couldn't hear him, "Well, if it comes to a vote, I don't want some rotting piece of flesh who should be dead tagging along. We're dealing with mailicious zombies here; who's to say she won't turn against us and fight with her undead kin? I vote against her accompanying us." Raising his voice again, Avalanche replies to McCreary, "I nominate Eric as the party leader. He's experienced in fighting the undead, while not being able to rise them like certain other party members...." He looks uneasily in Althior's direction. By the way, Avalanche is being difficult because he loathes undead and anything connected to them, for reasons currently unknown (related to his past). He signed up for this quest to get 'revenge' on all undead, not knowing that there would be 'friendly' undead or that a Necromancer would be accompanying the party. So he's not just being obnoxious.
  7. Avalanche, trying to hide his urge to draw Trollsbane and strike at the blasphemous creature standing before him, asks rather shakily, "Why do you think your heart is in there? And who were these thugs you speak of?"
  8. Avalanche looks awkwardly at the skeletons, unsure of whether they were making a joke or a jibe at him. He nods to McCreary, "I'm ready."
  9. "Oh, I assumed all undead...So we can trust these three then?" Avalanche then hears the skeleton talking to him. Clearly uncomfortable around the skeletons, he shrugs, "Nope, never met an undead before- unless you count Sorrow, and he doesn't really look like an undead with that cloak and hood. So you can- uh- consider yourself honoured, I guess." "Just standing waiting for those zombie paladins to jump out at us is getting on my nerves. I agree with Eric, let's head to the crypt. Or do we need to meet that zombie woman first?"
  10. Avalanche looks skeptically at the skeletons, "Why, may I ask, are we engaging in friendly conversation with the undead? When it's the undead we're here to stop?" He glares warily at the skeletons and then says to himself, "And why are they drinking wine? They must be very stupid- they're skeletons."
  11. "Aren't undead immune to attacks with regular weapons?" After hearing Eric's second question, Avalanche pauses for a moment, lost in thought, then replies, "Aye. I grew up in the mountains near Baltarok. Our ancestral home was overrun by a tribe of stone golems who were later massacred by a goblin raiding party. We've been living rough ever since, deciding to make our way south and eke out a living as warriors. I was separated from the rest during a fight with bandits- until I met Nagure, I haven't seen a yeti since. I managed to board a vessel heading for the Free Islands and it docked in Eubric first. Heard about an organisation of warriors and hoped some of my tribe would be there too...No luck, but I'm still hoping..."
  12. Pretending to ignore the Nord's comments, and the strange name he'd called him, Avalanche says, "So, we're up against undead, right? Do you have any experience fighting them?"
  13. Thanks Kinto for accepting me!
  14. Avalanche looks around at his fellow questers. There's that dwarf who I fought in the Arena recently, some sort of mage who I don't know...oh, and a Nordic warrior. He nods to McCreary as confirmation of his presence and asks, "Have you had any other troublesome undead frequenting the cemetery apart from the paladins?" Waiting for an answer, he turns to Eric, "Greetings, my friend. I don't believe we have met. I'm Avalanche." He extends his furry paw to the Nord. OOC: Bought 3 Holy Bombs, considering the enemies we'll probably be facing...
  15. Avalanche purchases 3 Holy Bombs from Portia, leaving him with 100 gold.
  16. Avalanche exits the Hall, heading for the Marketplace.
  17. I'd be happy if the Black Spire won because I built for it, but I want Nocturnus to win for story purposes.
  18. Avalanche hurries into the hall and quickly signs up for Quest#94. "Been waiting for this."
  19. He rolled two Sentinels! "Well fought, my friend." Avalanche shook Throlar's hand and then returned to the hall.
  20. Avalanche attacks Throlar twice from the front row OOC: When Throlar next rolls Sentinel, let's call it a draw and return to the Hall.
  21. Avalanche does nothing twice from the back row OOC: I'm sure something's wrong with that die. It's given Throlar about seven Sentinels now
  22. Avalanche attacks twice from the front row with Trollsbane
