Ragnarök Now 3: Day Three
Dragonfire replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Nice! We got another one! And since there was only one kill last night, something must have happened to the other kills. Dagstyrr could well have been killed by the SK, since he was very quiet and didn't even vote yesterday. -
Thanks guys! Can you resize pictures on flickr and convert them to URLs?

Ragnarök Now 3: Confirmation and Discussion
Dragonfire replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Yeah, me too! Oh- my experience of the cultist is simply a 3rd party character who cannot kill but instead converts every night. -
Thanks!

Are you even going to give reasons for your vote, rather than just mindlessly bandwagon? (And no, I'm not being hypocritical - I've voiced my suspicions several times today and I believe these warrant a vote for Jarl) In fact, it would do quite the opposite. Him saying that as scum would make Cranebeinn a probable scum as well. If Jarl is Town, there's no significance to his comment. And that's the hammer.

Tags: Exploration. Location: A08 Crentium Mission Log: Entry 9 ~ No rest for the weary, eh? As soon as I'd finished the biomass extraction on Marphacia, I was sent to a new location which could not be more different from Marphacia in appearance. The entire surface of Crentium was a barren, rocky wasteland, with the occasional shrub or plant poking out from the surrounding sea of grey. For this mission, I was given a small exo-suit to protect me against the hostile atmosphere and environment. As I made my way across the planet in search of water, I noticed something odd. The rocks in front of me were a different shade of colour from those all around me, and they appeared to form some kind of symmetrical shape - too orderly to have occurred by chance. Of course, these rocks were centuries old, worn down by the elements and partially covered in dirt and grass. As I peered closer, I suddenly noticed a flash of bright green - and there, right in front of me, was an extra-terrestrial's face poking out of the archway. At first, I was shocked. I had been told that the alien activity on Crentium was "sparse", and hadn't expected to find one at all. My first proper alien! (Note: I do not count the monster I encountered on Lesser Direstan to be a proper alien ) I remembered my training and quickly levelled the exo-suit's arm (equipped with a laser gun) at the creature, in case it proved hostile. But it did not appear to be armed, and, after a quick glance at me, it sped off across the plain, faster than a human could move. I've sent high-definition photographs of the creature, taken using my helmet, to HQ back on Orinshi. It appears to be bipedal, roughly the same height as an average human, and lime-green in colour, with a tentacled face and long claws on its feet. I'll remain on Crentium for another week to study the creature more closely and judge whether or not it is a sentient being. P1060433 P1060434 P1060435 [C&C welcome!]

I was trying to make sense of the discussion between the three of you. Exactly. I think if Jarl flips scum, Cranebeinn will look scummier - Jarl's post reeks of bussing your buddy for towncred. No townie would be so sure as to stake their life on another person's alliance, so either he's a huge risk-taker and gambler, or he knows Cranebeinn's alignment for sure (and is his scumbuddy). From what I've seen of Jarl in other games, he's not that much of a gambler. Ergo, he is likely scum along with Cranebeinn.
-
It looks like everyone has reached a general consensus. I want a lynch today, so I'll Unvote: Mist (Mencot) and Vote: Jarl Name-Loser (jluck).
-
Hey, you found an emoji of yourself, Lodmund I'd like Mist lynched, but I'd be happy to switch to Jarl to get a lynch. He's scummy too, but I just can't stand Mist's scum-play any longer.
-
Umm... why are you comparing a possible Scum to a dead Townie and using that as a reason to vote him? Big ping. ..... You just edited that sentence to change the full stops around. It's a poor attempt to cover up your slip-up, and it still doesn't make sense. Why is the existence of traitors not a bad thing? Now you're saying it! And then you accuse me of twisting your words! It's you who twisted Lauga's words to form a baseless accusation, and you can't even cover your own tracks, so you decide to do some OMGUS! At least you remembered my name though
-
You can't even spell my name. It's 3 letters and 1 syllable long, and you still can't spell it Mist, here you are essentially accusing Lauga of saying that traitors are not a bad thing: But what Lauga said was this: How did you come to the conclusion that Lauga thinks traitors aren't a bad thing? You're putting words in her mouth here. Scum.
-
Where has Lauga ever said that? You're just twisting her words now. Look, you know what? Vote: Mist (Mencot). Your behaviour aggravates me. I doubt that scum can night-kill other scum, but then again, I've never been scum, so I don't know.
-
Unvote: Cranebeinn the Redder (Chromeknight). The discrepancies between these arguments trouble me. Too similar to the commotion on Day One which resulted in a townie lynch. It looks like either Tarben exaggerated what Toki said in private when he told Pudding, or that Toki is understating what he told Tarben in PM. This is also fishing. I can think of several people who are deserving of a vote right now. Mist has been on my scumdar for a while now (I believe I expressed my reasons yesterday), Jarl is making incessant contradictions and is scumming the place up; Kaupmad's earlier comment really pinged me and almost deserves a vote just for that; and others are making me uneasy. I'm going to hold my vote for now and see what happens.
-
Bit risky, hedging your bets like that. I'll be sure to turn on you should Cranebeinn flip town OK, I'll do that too and completely ignore the fact that you could be bussing him for towncred
-
I'm a bit confused as to this. You suspect Jarl because he seems to know the motivation for the kill. However, assuming Jarl is scum, why would he kill someone for being quiet? It's just not something a scum would do - more of a SK thing, killing quiet people. By no means does this clear Jarl of being scum, but I just don't see why quietness would possibly motivate a Scum kill - more likely, he revealed his role to the wrong people, like you said. You've missed someone out: Again, you need to read the thread I haven't been fighting with Lauga at all, nor do I remember interacting at all with her on Day One... Where are you coming from, and what do you hope to accomplish with this post? Honestly, I feel like voting for Mist at this point. Any particular reason?
-
Cranebeinn won't risk PMing you a scumbuddy's name (unless you are scum too). He's the top suspect right now and if he's lynched and found to be scum, his "blocker" will be next. So either he's the scum blocker, or whatever his alignment, he's somehow found the Town blocker and is trying to appear helpful. Imagine this: he finds the Town blocker, "sets up" a town block by introducing the blocker to the tracker and vig, and then has the blocker killed overnight. One Town PR gone, and he's gained town-cred too. Not too far-fetched, I think.
-
If you reveal the blocker publicly, then you are giving the information straight to the Scum. Unless you are Scum, in which case, feel free to give us the information.
-
Who - Lauga and I? You haven't been reading anything we've said this entire day Why would anyone claim to you in that way? And this is also fishing, but for the blocker this time. How do we know you're telling the truth about the blocker contacting you? I hope you're not either, if you're in contact with both the vig and the tracker. However, at least the tracker actually had a reason for contacting you - they weren't just being stupid. Just saying, the "vig" could easily be the SK, so be careful. A bit far-fetched, but it could be the case. The question is, do we think our host would re-use that specific role again, when everyone would be able to recall it and be on their guard...? As far as I know, you're only notified if you have a night action and it is blocked. I myself have only once ever had a night action, and I died Night One, so I have no experience with the matter. Are you suggesting that we out the blocker publicly and lynch him? That's blatantly scummy, and coupled with my earlier suspicion of you and your incessant fishing, I think I know where my vote is going today. Vote: Cranebeinn the Redder (Chromeknight)
-
Don't you think that if Lambi wanted to "prod" a scum-buddy and get him to talk, she would do it in the scum writeboard or whatever messaging system they use? Why draw attention to him in thread, unless it was meant as a bus of sorts. I still don't understand what you're trying to say. Are you saying that Jarl is trying to befuddle us into thinking Mist is town? Why would we think she's town because Tarben says so, when we don't even know Tarben's alignment? Seems legit. Can you tell me when Crane started this group chat - was it initially to discuss Heroica or was it initially to discuss Mafia? For that matter, do you? In fact, have you said anything useful this entire day?
-
I don't see any possible reason for him doing that, as scum or as town. What are you trying to insinuate? Good point! Our red friend here seems to be obsessed with the vigilante...
-
What do you mean? This was what you said: This strongly implies that you know for certain that the scum were not blocked and did kill someone (presumably Patrekr). How on earth does what you said above explain this? Fishing, eh? Very anti-town behaviour. Ping.
-
I'm not Jarl, and as I said before, Jarl quoted Tarben's whole post, which included his vote for Lambi, and his reply to my vote for Mist. Tarben said both of those things in the same post, and Jarl didn't bother to remove the irrelevant parts of the post. Nope. There are countless possibilities. The vig could have chosen not to kill, the target could have been protected, or there could be no SK. Nope, he would have claimed if he had a role.

Ragnarök Now 3: Confirmation and Discussion

Same here - nice thread (although some roles, such as Godfather and Cultist, are missing).
