Heroica RPG - Quest #146: Red is the Bloodiest Color

"C'mon, really? Evil sea creatures?" Avalanche rolls his eyes in exasperation before levelling Frostbite at Tito from the front row. I'd recommend Calamity going last in the battle order and targeting one of the fish, and the other three fish getting free hits on the other three of us. -

"I'm good to go as well," Avalanche shoulders his halberd and gets to his feet. -

"I don't take any pleasure in unfair fights," Avalanche growls solemnly, "But I wouldn't be averse to taking on four or five of them - see how they fight as a team, perhaps." -

Avalanche's mouth twists in a half-smile, "Don't worry, I'm not going to bite!" He suddenly realises that that could be exactly what is worrying her, and closes his mouth immediately, looking rather sheepish. "I see," replies Avalanche, "But I'm not so sure they'd want to take me on in single combat!" -

"Have you not pitted them against each other in practice bouts? Fighting wild animals won't make them any better at repelling these mercenaries..." -

"What kind of weapons are the militia armed with? Have they ever seen action, or are they just simple villagers?" Avalanche queries. -

Avalanche strides onto the dock, dipping his massive head respectfully to the Captain and Luke, "Pleased to meet you both. I'm Avalanche." He then notices an unfamiliar young woman in silver and purple armour on the dock beside him; extending a paw, he introduces himself, "Avalanche. I don't believe we've met." Seeing Warlen, he smiles in greeting, "We meet again, it seems. And I'd be fine serving under you as party leader; I second your proposal." OOC: Thanks for having me too! Stats look good -

But why would any intelligent scum try to shift the lynch off his outed, confirmed partner? It just seems too absurd to be true. Why say it in thread? -
Avalanche glances at the quest-board and sees his name on the list. A lopsided grin breaking out on his face, he shoulders his pack and heads out of the Hall to the docks, ready for whatever new challenges he would face in the coming weeks.

But how is that scummy? Surely it's not a scum move to question the logic behind someone's ping Running in circles here, you are. -

If [almost] everyone has claimed a role to you, and if you haven't already got counterclaims, then none, there will be. -

Nice one, investigator! Unvote: Woodcock (Bob) Vote: Anthony Dixon (jluck) That's a good point, especially since we know Anthony is scum here; could he and Foorth have been discussing possible claims on the scumboard? Me questioning the logic of why he was sending out a ping is not scum behaviour or suspicious IMO. Missing something here, am I? Actions? Please elaborate, I thought you just found that one post suspicious because..... [insert reason here] At least you're right in something, it is bothering me. ? Your unvote only resonated with me in conjunction with your previous vote. Julia's first vote wasn't as early on or as weak as yours. -
Avalanche notices the winged figure approaching them, "Six battles. Not much, compared to my previous expedition."

Exactly. Trying to dodge the point here, he is. I asked him this: And he vaguely replies, giving no reasons, and trying to frame me for committing OMGUS. You know what? Vote: Woodcock (Bob.) You're avoiding giving reasons for suspecting me because there are none. You're stubbornly clinging to a weak Day One suspicion which is not backed up whatsoever by anything. I would still be voting for you if it had been anyone else you suspected. Appear to be deliberating in thread, I may, but have you considered it could be a ploy? What goes on in thread and in PMs can be very different Not true. In the two previous games, the investigator investigated the Godfather on Night Two and as a result, scum won. (other things helped them win, too, of course). And we already have a mouthpiece: Molly. If the protector protects her every night, she can continue to communicate results. Look as if you are trying to weasel your way into the town block, you do. You hope to look town by offering yourself as a mouthpiece when there's no need to You don't just go and randomly claim to people if you're town. You should know, two games ago you were scum and you went and randomly claimed vanilla to me early in the game, and you were on my scum-list for the rest of the game. If you just have a feeling he's town, don't claim to him for goodness' sake! You're only narrowing down the pool of potential PRs for the scum to kill. -

Anthony voted Elijah for laughs, and said as much. That's far less suspicious than you, mainly because you still hold on to that weak, baseless vote whereas Anthony has long since abandoned his. There's a difference between thinking someone is town and taking it as a fact. -

Dragonfire replied to JackJonespaw's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
So it didn't bother you.... but you still made a mental note of it? What are you trying to say here? This reads like scum so afraid of looking scummy that they don't dare to post. Voice your opinions, who cares if they're the same as someone else's; if you're town then the best way to help town is get your thoughts out there. Being afraid of looking scummy is for the scum I do believe you, but I'm not going to accept anything as a fact unless it's somehow proven. I've learned from experience that immediately trusting public PR claims can really screw your game up. That said, I do think you're town, just not going to 100% believe it for now. Actually, that makes real sense. Two mafia teams is exactly the kind of fiendish twist our hosts would put into this game.... -

To be honest, this seems as if you're just looking for an excuse to justify a weak, baseless vote. What sinister undertones could it have had? And I was going to bring this up today as well, Dink just got to it first. -

No, I think you deliberately left your vote on Perce in order to distance yourself from the Molly wagon, as you knew she'd flip town. Common scum tactic. I got it. Just pointing out that if Molly is to be believed, then she was the town blocker two games in a row - surely equally as likely as Elijah being the godfather. -

Unvote: Molly Tolbert (Lady K) Vote: Perce Triggs (Tachyon) I'd rather lynch an "unimportant" role than a blocker, if it comes down to that. -

I'm not going to vote for Perce now that you're so set on lynching him. There. Call me a no-lynch supporter if you like, I don't care and neither does my invisible friend Humphrey -

Nothing in the rules against it Look, even if I voted for Perce we'd be four votes off a lynch....my vote won't change things much unless more people get online. Are you therefore allowing PMs to be quoted? -
The Second Crash - Day 1
Dragonfire replied to JackJonespaw's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Here's the PM. Both Humphrey and I feel that it strongly implies that you wanted me to lead the town. Read the words in bold and red. *edit: bold and brown. Anthony and Dink, I see you reading the thread. Care to cast your votes, or would you rather have a no-lynch today? *edit: I see you've both voted for Perce. Sorry, -
The Second Crash - Day 1

Am I meant to feel reassured? Humphrey certainly doesn't... Great, now two of my three top scumreads are voting the third... Okay. Molly approached me in private a while ago, asking me who we should lynch and asking me to lead the town, when she's said she suspects me in-thread. I said that she, Perce and Mike are my top suspects. She immediately zeroed in on Perce and Delwyn for the lynch, and I replied that I townread Delwyn and I'd be OK with lynching Perce. She agreed with both and then said she townreads me, followed by her voting Perce in-thread. It's obvious that she's trying to get me on her side, pretending to concur with my opinions and flipping her "read" of me on its head in order to save herself from a lynch. We need a lynch, and I know who I want lynched. Unvote: Mike Johnson (mediumsnowman) Vote: Molly Tolbert (Lady K)
