  1. I appreciate all this feedback. It gives me good ideas for future builds!
  2. Well, at least for me, I feel like I expended all my Kaliphlin ability in this one build. Not sure if I could keep building MOC after MOC here. However, this one was a lot of fun to work on!
  3. It's great to see it all together!
  4. Well, all of them use a 4l bar through the middle of a round brick. The ones on the table are the regular round 1x1 bricks and the ones in the box are the tapered nose-cone 1x1 round bricks.
  5. I really like those windows, what a great idea! I have plenty of those "backrest" pieces so I'll have to try using it next time. Thanks kabel!
  6. I love the orange building!
  7. @Alfadas: No problem! Weapons stores are pretty common in medival settings so it's not an issue to have many of them in AoM. @soccerkid: Thanks for the suggestions. I particularly like the telescope version. However, I'm not sure if those would work with a store setting.
  8. Yes, yes, yes, and YES! I know Clone Wars has gotten a lot of backlash for being sub-par, but I for one really enjoyed the majority of the episodes. Yes, there were some real duds, but I wouldn't throw the whole series out just because of those. Can't wait to see these last few episodes!
  9. Yeah, the window is my least favorite part too. I don't have any shuttered windows, just some red frames without glass or shutters. Doesn't exactly make it easy to create medieval windows. I just invested in some of the arched windows and lattice that I used in my Kaliphlin build, so I'll have to wait until later this year before Bricklinking some shuttered windows. What does everyone else think of the glass? Is it GoH appropriate?
  10. Store Phase II here
  11. @nivremis: are those custom capes? @Direlda: Welcome back!
  12. Wow! This is incredible! What piece is he using for the rolling pin shaft? I personally really like the yellow roof as well as everything else about this! My favorite has to be the mud in the pig pen. It's great!
  13. Ah, but if we bathed how would we keep the crumbs-stored-for-later-in-our-beards from getting soggy? We are just way more prepared than any other guild and you all are jealous, admit it.
  14. (This is set after A Rude Awakening but well before A Timely Friend) Wyndor walked the streets of a village near Mt. Mitgard. He was in need of a new sword to continue his journey to find his brothers. Times were tough as the elemental monsters were still on their rampage throughout Mitgardia. Most people had fled to places of safety, but a few villages refused to abandon their homes, no matter how great the danger. This village, Bornholm, was one such place. It's people continued to deal with the normal difficulties of life, like how to deal with thieves and how to keep their wives' beards clean. Inside one of the shops, a dwarf was learning the finer points of katanas. "So you see, those are the differences in fighting styles needed when using either a square or round guard on a katana." Stated Liam the Cyclops. Just then Wyndor walked in. "I thank you Sir Liam, I will dwell on what you have explained and make my choice in the morning" said the dwarf as he left. "And how may I help you sir?" asked Liam. Wyndor paused for a moment, slightly speechless. "You're not quite what I expected" answered Wyndor. "Ah," Liam sighed, "Another one who has a bias against non-humans." "No, that's not it, I just haven't seen a cyclops running a weapons shop before" replied Wyndor quickly. "What? You think my kind is good enough do you?" said Liam in a huff. "Now it is you how are mistaken sir, I had a cyclops friend when I was a child. But his tastes where more towards battle and war and not in the ways of management or shop-keeping" answered Wyndor. "Well, you will find me perfectly capable in both fields sir. I am Liam, and I can both sell you a weapon and beat you with it." Said Liam indigently. "It seems I have come to the right place then," said Wyndor, "I am in need of a new sword." "Everyone comes in thinking they need a sword," replied Liam haughtily."Let me be the judge of that" he said as he lay out a number of different weapons. "I don't know how to use any of these," said Wyndor. "I've only used to a regular sword." "You say that, but have you ever tried training with another weapon?" ask Liam. "Well, no, not really" answered Wyndor. "It's agreed then," stated Liam. "I will train you." "Oh no," thought Wyndor. "What have I gotten myself into?" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OoC: This is my second phase for the Store category for AoM. Let me say that I realize the pictures are a little grainy. I didn't have time to set up my whole photo assembly and had to make do with less than perfect light. I also realize there is some light showing through the walls of the store. That couldn't be helped due to the size of the build and the time restriction I had. I have family showing up in a few minutes and their here all weekend. I really wanted to get this up before that, so that why there are a few flaws. I hope you can enjoy it regardless.
  15. Hey now, just because Infernum can't grow a beard doesn't mean you can insult the rest of us!
  16. All those oil sales are actually your own Kaliphlins buying it for use at their Embassy. Their just too embarrassed to buy it directly from you so their are going through us kind, understanding Mitgardian salesmen.
  17. Thank you every one! I'm really glad all the Kaliphlins are giving their approval As for the maps, MassEditor and HammerHand, it's not actually my invention. I saw it in a few other GoH builds and borrowed it. So please, go right ahead and borrow from the borrower
  18. I really like the simplistic approach to the wood beams coming out of the medicine shop. Great work on all of it!
  19. If this is something you just throw together over a weekend I want to see what you can do with more time on your hands! (I also want to know how you get something so amazing built in so short a time, what magic are you using? ) There are a few technique things to improve on, but for your first ever post for GoH this is incredible!
  20. Ok, I get it now. Sorry you had to explain that joke. It's no fun to have to explain your punch line! Thanks! I have a random left-leg-only leg assembly floating around in my collection right now. Oh well, that's price you pay to get the right look! Thanks! This story has really taken on a life of it's own. Each time I can't wait to keep it going to see what my characters are going to do next
  21. You're only selling to those who have moved from Kaliphlin to Mitgardia. They still haven't gotten used to our pleasent temperatures. HA! Oh yes, that's some of the best trash talk I've heard all day!
  22. Well you've started well Just stay away from our bearded ladies of the north. They'll rip your arms off if you make fun of them
  23. We don't use heating oil in the north, who are you trying to kid? We are waaay tougher than that.
  24. HA! That is great! You've already started the trash talk, and it only gets better from here!
  25. Borders are a good thing if done correctly. Your goal should be to make something that adds to the build without drawing your eyes straight to it. I wouldn't give up on using borders, I would just work on your technique.
