  1. Thanks for the background BC! I find that sort of information fascinating. My background isn't in graphic design, so forgive my ignorance, after initial sketches of a new set do you start off with a computer generated build or a physical one? And will you be working on the Star Wars Rogue One sets? Thanks again for sharing!
  2. So according to CM's drawings, the largest ship has that amazing ninja crossbones flag but the Zeppelin doesn't? That would stink. Just checking. So is the island a pirate base or a hero base? Thanks!
  3. Thanks brother! So I guess we aren't really sure who the Pirates are or the villains.
  4. I've never been into Ninjago but the Pirates/steampunk vibe has me intrigued. So forgive my ignorance in the following questions: I am interested in the Zeppelin, is it a hero ship or a villain? And are the hero's ninja/pirates themselves or are they fighting pirates and snakes? Or perhaps are the snakes teaming up with the ninjas? Thanks for any information for the ignorant:)
  5. Harry Potter brought me out of my dark age so it has a special place in my heart (and wallet). My favorite thing about the line was that it provided a wonderful selection of buildings to create in the midst of so many vehicle dominated lines. I think that is what drew me to the LOTR line as well. I personally don't think we are going to get any additional Harry Potter sets with the Fantastic Beast's line but that doesn't mean I wouldn't be delighted if I was wrong. In fact, I'm not sure if we even are going to get a line for the new movies. The Harry Potter movie series is the highest grossing range of movies so it would seem as if a new line would be a no brainer. But I don't think the last few years of the HP line sold very well and I wonder if that is enough for Lego to pause and think twice about if the Fantastic Beasts movies would translate into a IP that can sell toys. I really hope that they do make them though and I really would love to see a version of a American wizard school or even an American version of the Ministry of Magic. As long as they are primarily based on interesting buildings I will be delighted.
  6. ^^^ Seconded. I would love to hear some insight regarding the design process, especially how difficult it was to create a product with only sketches as opposed to high rez pictures and physical models please!
  7. Oh please let us get Batgirl in a cheap set! I couldn't bring myself to buy the last abomination of a set she was in.
  8. Yes he is! All of the mini figures are superb!
  9. My main target is that fantastic black and orange X-Wing, but I feel you, it will be incredibly disappointing if sets are sold out.
  10. Why does it matter to you? I, like most people here enjoy the thrill of buying and building new sets when they come out. And I have been burned before when I have missed out on getting sets right away and have had to wait a while them to be restocked.
  11. It's good to know I'm not the only one who shares these concerns. My biggest issue is that I have gift cards to two stores I was planning on using to get these sets and that makes logistics slightly more tricky. I may just bite the bullet and set my alarm to get up at 12:01, buy the sets online, and go back to bed since my wife has already laughed off my suggestion of taking the day off to buy and build the sets:(
  12. What I am curious to know, in the midst of all this 4th Friday buying madness, is how fast these sets will sell out? I don't plan on staying up until 12:01 to purchase these sets because I work early the next morning. I'm hoping stores have enough stock that I can buy them the next day rather than everything flying off the shelves at midnight and all the good stuff being gone in the morning like on Black Friday.
  13. It seems like I have missed a lot today!Big ups to Nekchir for dropping lots of tidbits all over Eurobricks. I may be overlooking this in the slew of new information but do we know the build of the largest Civil War set is? Based on past sets, logic would dictate that it costs $70 and is a ship like the Quinjet But they can't be making another version, can they? Especially since the Avenjet is coming out too.
  14. I love that X-Wing so much, I want to take it behind the bleachers and get it pregnant. But holy crap are these things overpriced. All of them seem like they should be about $10 cheaper. I mean, I am getting the Tie, the X-Wing, and the Troop transport and I am looking at $240 for just three sets! And the real problem is that I like them all! My wife is going to kill me.... By the way, why the hell would you post the ending to one of the most anticipated movies of all time? Thanks for ruining the excitement of experiencing the ending for the first time in a theater. How inconsiderate do you have to be? That crap doesn't even need to be posted in spoiler tags because no one here wants to know! Show some freaking common sense or go troll on some other forum.
  15. So could this be from season 2 of the Rebels show? I know we saw a blue and white version in the last trailer. Maybe this is how we get the Rebel's version of Ahsoka (as apposed to waiting until next freaking summer)?
  16. So I initially wrote this is in the Marvel thread, while meaning to write this in the DC one since this is where all the whining is going on.... I'm a little surprised that folks are complaining about j2g and CM4 giving us hints. This is how Eurobricks has always worked: folks in the know like j2g, sci, Legomilk, nrg, and the old sam89 drop little tidbits of information and the rest of us work ourselves into a lather speculating about future sets. It gives us something to talk about on these forums and keeps us better informed than most of the Lego community. I would be wary about complaining too much about cryptic posts from these folks because they are already at risk of the wrath of TLC. As momma says "don't bite the hand that feeds you."
  17. Bah, wrote this in the wrong thread. This is the happy thread where no one is whining about what clues they are or aren't getting. Anyway, since j2g has informed us that we are getting more Civil War sets than three, then I wonder if we will get six sets like we did with Age of Ultron?
  18. I have never purchased a Ninjago set before (I am sorely tempted by the Last Flight of the Destiny's Bounty) but if this line contains steampunk ninja pirate zeppelins then consider that dry streak broken...
  19. WOW! That thing looks like it could plow through a wall! Nicely done!
  20. I figured that it was a fitting title. Feel free to use it around the office. I am sure that you can't confirm which sets you have worked on, but we would love to hear from you when the embargo lifts! Could you check back in and give us a little behind the scenes information about the sets on this forum, September 4th? I'm not above begging....
  21. You people do know who this is, right? If the man says Chewie can fit in the cockpit with Han, then you dang sure better believe him. Any other tidbits about the Episode 7 sets you can give us without loosing your job, oh Prince of Plastic?
  22. Here's the updated list with the language cleaned up a bit for anyone who cares. I'm not quite sure if there are two officers in the command shuttle, Google translate was a bit hard to understand.
  23. Yeah, sorry about the confusing language for the mini figures. I just cut and pasted the translation from the European Amazon website descriptions. I cleaned up the post to make it easier to read. Well played my friend, well played:)

  25. Yeah, I did see that, thanks! In fact, the video J.J. debuted at SDCC was one of the reasons I was surprised that Leia wasn't made into a minifigure. But Poe and those awesome new pilot helmets numb that pain
