  1. WOW! Now that is a story. Nolan does not disappoint...
  2. I think it becomes "ridiculous" to us, in part, because those kinds of things were never done in the movies, so you then think back, well hey, why didn't the Jedi just do this or that, in that scene where they were surrounded or whatever. If Clone Wars had somehow come out first, then that would be our understanding of what Jedi can and can't do.
  3. WOW! That is freaking amazing -- that it never got opened, and that it survived intact this long! I recall the event, but thought, eh, since it was meant more for kiddos, never bothered showing up. That is quite a prize. I love the original clone trooper helmets... So what is the story on it, from the previous owner? Did he work at WalMart at the time and they didn't do the event? Just curious...
  4. Not holding my breath on that one, but a matching TIE fighter would make for an interesting pair!
  5. It would have been nice to have a few more "musicians" in this set, but I guess we take what we can get -- and I'm always happy to see the debut of new Star Wars characters in Lego.
  6. That's funny you say that about the scene with the AT-ST in Empire. As a kid I thought the same thing, that an AT-AT had been blasted apart and only a two legged walker was left. I wonder how common that was. Anyway, I find the walker in the Endor bunker set to be the "best" as far as it's shape and detail.
  7. Yes, I hope the Solo rumor is false. We already got a Celebration Han as well as a "young" Han, as special figures. Enough Han, please...
  8. Yah, I like the bigger MTT better. When they reduce them down further, it just looks less and less like the original vehicle, which is disappointing...
  9. Hmmm...I've never seen the Vader pen head. That is actually kind of interesting looking with the stud on it...
  10. THAT is a "cute" face? I guess I get what you're saying, but it still struck me as funny...
  11. Hard to believe maybe, but I have never read the Hobbit, so what happens after the first movie is unknown to me, but I hope it does get more interesting. Scenes with the brown wizard for instance, were pretty silly I thought. I am a big LOTR fan, but am still on the fence about the Hobbit.
  12. I only have the cafe corner and fire brigade, so I guess i'm pick and choose as far as the modulars go. I do like the emporium and this new cinema especially. Once Lego or Amazon has it on sale, I will pick it up. Very good looking set!
  13. I'm in the same boat. I guess the army builders arrive at the stores earlier than i do. :)
  14. Wow, I had the same idea. Great to see someone already did it!
  15. Wow, that definitely has my attention and interest. Good work, sir!
  16. Yes, it's an iconic ship, but it's still a ship that's been done as a UCS before. Where is the UCS Tie fighter? That's as iconic as the X-Wing -- never been done. How about a UCS Landspeeder? Also, never been done UCS, and also iconic. So yah, it's a rehash -- sorry. If there were major updates, maybe, but side by side with the original, you're gonna have to squint to tell the difference.
  17. +1 on this. Not including them with the SSD was a huge opportunity missed I believe. They're only onscreen for a few seconds so unless we get a bridge playset of some sort (which wouldn't be a bad idea) there's no good way to include them.
  18. Yes, I would much rather have a Lars Homestead vs. another Sandcrawler, which would probably be a slow seller, even with an update.
  19. I am interested in Man of Steel and whatever sets Lego will be making to support the movie, but after Return of Superman being generally disappointing, the new movie is going to have to prove itself to win fans. Maybe by next year the MOS sets will be in great demand...
  20. Wow, that is great news for Lego! Looks like they have another winning theme on their hands...
  21. I saw that video a few days ago. Could not believe the guy was able to get the set early like that. Anyway, I really like the design and look forward to purchasing one -- on sale would be even better.
  22. Cool idea! Only thing I might suggest would be to vary the wall structure a bit more to make it more "falling apart" looking. Too many smooth tiles for what is supposed to be a roughly built structure.
  23. Exactly. And I'm glad Lego is showing us what is "retiring soon". That is greatly appreciated for us stragglers...
