  1. Insects and Reptiles I think would be cool. Maybe something like a Bison or Bull would be cool too...
  2. I am intrigued by the new Chima line. It reminds me of the old (and newer) Tomy Zoids toys, which I love and have a small colletion of favorites. I guess I'm more interested in dinosaur or insect looking mecha type vehicles as opposed to lion or wolf type, but I am definitely interested in the theme overall.
  3. It's not a bad idea, but honestly I think Lego should make a detailed set for the Tantive opening scene, with a main hallway, a side hallway where R2 and 3PO hide, etc. Sadly though, I think the Tantive ship is as close as we'll get to that. Good luck though...
  4. Pre Viz's ship at 20% off, need to build it soon, but I like the design.
  5. Jango's Slave I definitely. Really any set like that, that is from the yellow face era that hasn't yet been redone is overdue I think.
  6. I believe the greebling is just approximate, so if you squint at it, it looks like the movie model.
  7. The bad thing about Clone Wars is so many of the vehicles are seen in ep2 and 3, so we are getting a bunch more rehashes than I would prefer. With the OT sets they seem to cycle through them less often, so that works out better. Also, I don't know anything about the new Stealth fighter from the show, but I love new ships, and this one is interesting looking.
  8. Just picked mine up on clearance as well. I can't wait to get it built!
  9. Kinda reminds me of 7666 Hoth Rebel Base until they did a 2nd run. It was only around for like 6 months as well.
  10. Great review and great set. I can't wait to see someone "fix-up" the house and show us what it looked like back in its heyday. :)
  11. Dude, if I were a girl I would be so into these sets, but as a casual observer, I can admire Lego for trying to tap into the little girl demographic. Thanks for the review, it looks like a winner with the target audience. One thing about the logo graphic thing, I think they actually improved the look from the 2012 version because side by side, the 2013 one looks more natural whereas the previous graphic looks robotic and stiff by comparison.
  12. This set just means we will have to wait a while longer for the "Ion cannon with power generator" Hoth base set we've all been waiting for...
  13. Rogue Shadow and now Sith Fury? Wow, keep 'em coming, Lego! I love EU ships...
  14. That is a nice little set. I don't have any ideas offhand how to do it, but I just wish the UCS R2 had a smoother brick built dome somehow...
  15. The underside may not be total movie model accurate, but it's similar enough that no one can really complain about it. It looks nice.
  16. A new Cloud City would be cool, an Ewok village, a real Cantina, etc. I say yes to all.
  17. Interesting, squint a little and you can almost see the Galactic Heroes version of the Falcon. ;)
  18. I would have to say the "best" set of 2012 was the new Tie Fighter, simply because it was one of the most iconic vehicles of Star Wars, and looooong overdue for an updated design. The 2.0 Tie should last us another ten years before we get cranky for a new one.
  19. not a bad idea there...
  20. Right. Not all the Marvel characters are cut out for their own movies. Same with Star Wars, as long as they focus on interesting characters and stories, they will probably do fine. Perhaps a Boba Fett movie would be interesting, but it has to overcome the hurdle of everyone knowing any danger he faces, he will survive.
  21. Interesting at this scale. The Sith Fury ship is one of my newest favorites, but then I like all Sith ships. :)
  22. I like the Monster Fighters line, but zombies have just never been my thing. I just like the classic movie monsters better. I wouldn't mind having the zombie graveyard set, just to complete my collection though.
  23. Neat -- looks like one of those "chibi" designs, like they did with the Slave 1 and Landspeeder tins...
  24. Good review for a first timer. I've never been a big fan of A-wings, and it doesn't help that Lego continues cranking out different iterations of it. I believe it and the snowspeeder to be the most duplicated ships thus far.
  25. That was a great idea! I will be doing something similar...
