It's a shame...a really sad new. When i noticed Lego did new pirate sets, i felt a really happy guy, i bought the new ship, the soldiers fortress, and some small sets...i love the new minifigs, both pirates and soldier. Captain Brickbeard is a relly cool charater, like the new gobernor. I specilly love the new red coats. i'd like to see new blue coats. The new cannos were really cool, with a more realistic colour. i Hope The Lego Company release new sets in 2011

Bluecoat in LEGO Battles trailer!
Captain Roger replied to Emperor Claudius Rome's topic in LEGO Pirates
is wonderful...i won't buy the game(i think) but seeing blue coats with new design may be a signal about we will see new bluecoats in 2010 -
was a nice ship...is small and can be destroyed with a simple cannon shot, but not all ships must be powerful...in real pirates era there was powerful ships and not powerful ships(I'm sure Calico Jack's ship was something similar than Renegade runner :D) And Is a good ship for a character like Ironhook...he looks like a loser, a shipwreck pirate, so a simple ship is ideal for him. Sadly, i don't have it...i had it when i was 5, but i've lost it...fortunately i have all pirate sets i bought since i was 8

is wonderful...i love that ship...is better than the other "good guys" ships, the caribbean clipper and the Armada flagship. Have a nice design and is powerful.

i see everyone thinks old and legendary BSB is mightier than the new Brickbeard's bounty. I disagree. Reasons: BSB has 4 inmobile cannons, that make the ship heavier. Brickbeards bounty has 3 mobile cannon...that cannons are more useful than 4 inmobile cannons BSB is bigger, so is supposed to be slower, and Brickbeard's bounty may be faster I think BSB was a good ship, but is overrated because it was the first lego pirate ship and the are a lot of nostalgic people. In my opinion, SES was much powerful than BSB, and had a better design...even Redbeard Runner may be more powerful than BSB

Yes, today iv'e seen in a store lego set 6240: is the same idea(2 pirates, raft and octopus) as Playmobil set 4291: I have found it curious, thats all...what do you think?

Vintage Minifig V3 contains a BLUECOAT!
Captain Roger replied to Commodore Hornbricker's topic in LEGO Pirates
is cool...but to be sincere...i would prefer new blue coats of the new pirate theme -
Love the pirate crew Love the pirate with a club(is original because we usually see blades or fire weapons) Love the Admiral woodhouse torso with the new gobernor's face, sending 2009 red coats to attack Love knifes in chests YOU DID A GREAT MOC, MATE!

Which pirate captain do you like now?
Captain Roger replied to General Armendariz's topic in LEGO Pirates
i always loved Captain Roger design because is really cool...i always thought Ironhook is a loser with broken clothes and a small ship that can be defeated easily. Once i saw Brickbeard i thought "is cooler than Roger" Brickbeard is cooler than Roger because has more expressive and realistic face, has golden hook and golden epaulettes and smart clothes. Yeah, i voted Brickbeard -
What non-pirate items/mini-figs are your fav to use for MOC?
Captain Roger replied to martinsuper's topic in LEGO Pirates
I like using Lego castle minifigs and accesories, but i use some Lego space's heads...here an old moc i made some years ago: You can see: The pirate of the cannon has a Spyrius guy head(Space) A Samurai's torso(the pirate in the middle of the tower) A wolfpack torso with a pirate head(but the pirate head is from Lego Castle Ninja) A pirate with wizard's beard( of the wizard of Dragon Knights) The pirate in the boat has Fright Knight trousers A wolfpack flag The table is from Witch's Magic Manor(Fright Knights set) The base is from Forestmen's River Fortress I have a minifig with Ice planet 2002 old guy head and a pirate woman with the head ofthe red-haired IP2002 babe, but not in that MOC -
i agree about i prefer blue coats more to spaniards...i agree to about the crappy stets...even i think you have ben generous saying "Their bases and forts were CRAP"...they hadn't bases or forts...they had only a small tower... But TLC could release new good spaniards ships or bases, better than the olders... In any case....WE WANT BLUE COATS!!!!!MORE THAN SPANIARDS!!!!!
-
it may be cool...but i prefer other things like new soldiers with blue coats, or a new Ironhook minifig(Brikbeard is an improved version of old Redbeard/Roger, and an improved version of Ironhook would be great)

What do you want to see in the next round of the new line?
Captain Roger replied to martinsuper's topic in LEGO Pirates
what i want in the new series: About minifigs We have new Imperial guards(red coats)...i think new imperial soldiers(blue coats) would be great I'd like new spaniards too About Ships and buildings: i want something like Eldorado Fortress or Imperial trading post We have new pirate ship, but we haven't new soldier's ship...obviously i want one. Ah...and i'd love something like Skull Island or Rock Island Refuge -
hi mates! Long time no visit this great forum...i have noticed today about the new pirate sets...and this is my opinion: New minifigs are better than the old: Captain Brickbeard's design is much better than Captain Roger/Redbeard(i love golden hook and epaulettes). New soldiers are better than the old(they have a better uniform, and they don't look like idiots, like the old soldiers with their stupid smile), and the new governor is better too...but i must admit one new pirate minifig(the pirate with green clothes) have an inocent smile that i hate so much. I don't like either the pirate woman. She doesn't look like a pirate, looks like a CHEAP prostitute! About the buildings and ships... i think Soldier's fortress has a too simple design...i'd prefer something like Eldorado fortress or Imperial Trading post. the treasure chest is held in a silly way, even the coffer was held in a better way in ED, ITP, or Pirates's Skull Island. The new pirate ship isn't as cool as BSB or SES but have interesting things like the golden chest, the new sharck, or the lady with reversible head. About sets like loot island, kraken attack, or Shipwreck Hideout, i find it really cool, so my general opinion of the new pirates is cool

Which Is Better to get Western or Pirates?
Captain Roger replied to Joey Lock's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Pirates is better. Pirates have lots of cool sets and western not. The indians sets are not really cool. The indians look strange with their smiles...indians are always serious. The cowboys and soldiers sets are better than the indians sets but all hats have the same form, and the fort Legoredo shouldn't have a prison to put arrested bandits. The fort is for fighting against indians, not to have arrested bandits. Pirate theme is really cool...we have a variety of pirate minifigs...some of them very similar, but we have different stereotypes of pirates...with hat, with bandana, with T-shirt, whit blue jacket, and we have different colours of bandanas, hats and T-shirts. We have too different pirate faces... and we have cool characters like Captain Roger/Redbeard or Admiral Woodhouse. Imperial guards/soldiers are a great army with so cool sets like Imperial trading Post or Eldorado Fortress. -
I have voted Captain Roger/Redbeard. I love the design of this character....really smart, and cool. A great pirate design...and he is the captain of the GREAT SES. He has got two important bases(Skull Island and RIR). My second favourite is Admiral Woodhouse. He is a cool minifig too. I prefer Woodhouse to Broadside because i prefer red to blue...Imperal flagship has much better design that Caribbean Clipper, and Imperial Trading Post is bigger that Eldorado Fortress. However, i Know a Governor is more important than an admiral. I don't like Ironhook so much. Roger is Smart, with good black clothes and brown eppaulettes, but Ironhook has broken clothes, and it seems to be a loser, even Roger seems to be a powerful and dangerous pirate. King Hakuka...well, i don't like Islander sub-theme.
-
Great MOC...i don't like the pirate minifigs with soldiers accesories, because i don't understand why they use that accesories. But i Like the MOC anyway...is a good island that bring me memories of my MOC "Captain Seawolf's tower"
-
I'd like a French army
-
i'd give a 2, but you put 3 two times. Is a nice set but is not really cool. Is a worse version of Lagoon lock up
-
great army, mate, but i don't understand why you have robin hoods in your army
-
Iprefer the Imperial Guards because Impreial Flasgship i much better than the Caribean Clipper...and ITP is much better than EF, and red is my favourite colour In any case i like the blue guys too...EF and Lagoon Lock up are really good sets
-
i like it...is a small but nice ship...i think one important reason to buy that set is Captain Ironhook...the dragon figurehead is cool...and the colours are cool... This is much better than CBC... In any case RR can be crashed easily by Imperial Flagship or SES ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
