Thanks, guys! I'm really glad with how Logan came out.

I have to say that the first picture is a little too blocky landscaping for my taste, but I love everything about the second one! Very nice tree design and good job on making it vertical too!

Cool sailor uniform! And what piece did you use for the railing?
-
Amazing approach to a tower design! Cool way to build the scaffolding as well. Simply stunning work.

Ohhh, great build! My favorite part is the exposed studs on the wall, its a wonderful way to show damage!

I have gotten my figs with their backstories posted. I'm already working on some more. -
The arms with the axe aren't attached to the torso, rather they're just pressed slightly into the arm holes. There was just enough of a lip so that when I pushed the two arms together, they stuck. Took me a while to make it work and it's quite fragile. And then I had to find a neck piece that covered the back side of the arm holes that were exposed. Haha, you wish! Thank you all!

Awesome little bridge! And I really like the dark orange and sand green groundwork.

The roof is very nice, the white with gold makes a great look! The barrels were a good piece for the piers. Looking forward to the next chapter! -
I've created a few more figs and have gotten their backstories all in order, so here they are! Morgan the Wise A powerful sorcerer, Morgan spends his time brewing potions in his ramshackle house nestled precariously on the cliffs near the quarry of Vanguard. His staff holds a rare gem called an emryte. Commonly mistaken for emeralds which have nearly the exact color and composition, an emryte summons the growth of nature, both plant and animal. This is why the vegetation is overrunning his house. Jacoby Aldamire Jacoby is the General of the infantry of Vanhorn and reports directly to the Council. He grew up with his two brothers and the three would constantly fight and during the few times they weren’t attempting to hospitalize each other, they were getting into mischief and sneaking around the city. In his late teens, Jacoby became more interested in the military and by age thirty-two, he had worked his way up to being appointed General. Now six years into his ten-year term, Jacoby as become a father to twin girls. Logan Silverman Logan was the first of the great Generals of the Vanhorn Army. Now at an age of seventy-three, Logan has been retired from service. But, instead of living out his life on his own, Logan wanted to serve the Council in some other capacity, so they granted him the position of Sentinel. Logan stands guard at the gate to the inner wall of Vanguard. It is mostly a ceremonial position to show appreciation for Logan’s long years of service; numerous archers are posted along the wall if any threat should present itself. Only his close friends call him by his name, the soldiers who pass through the gate merely refer to him as, “Old Man Silver.” That's all for now, I'm putting together some Elven figs for a new city named Gondolin. Hope you like them!

Great amount of detail! The wall design looks nice and I love the targets!

I like what you've done with it so far and I'm looking forward to seeing the sails. I agree with robuko that the stern castle could be a little smoother. Maybe used hinge plates like in the Black Pearl set would help with that. Sorry for the big image, it was the smallest close up I could find.

There's also the shield technique, although it can be costly as there aren't many solid shields in common sets. While searching for this photo, I also found this one... Lastly, I found one by Carson Hart on Flickr titled Spring Time in Tuscany. Unfortunately, he has disabled the downloading rights so I can't get the link to post the image on here. Hope this helps! -
Wow, I know its not a particularly difficult technique for the icebergs, but I had no idea it would look so good in all white. Very nicely done!

Great story, I love character bios! And I like how it features small parts of several builds.
-
Great job! I really like the brick-built sails and the shaping on the ends of the hull.
-
I like the story and those are some nice figs. Cool build!
-
I really like the different color schemes, mainly the purple and dark red. I also like how you used the technic 1x1 holed bricks with the 1x2 jumper plates for wall texture. Great build!
-
I love the use of the curved pieces and the round gold tiles make a nice, ornate side. Good job!

Welcome! And don't pay any attention to Ska. Anyways, choosing a land is the next item of business after naming your sigfig. We have recently updated the Avalonian map so you see what lands are open. It's great to have another new member! -
Nice color schemes! Good job!
-
Amazing, so unique and untraditional! Nice part use with brown chairs and the gate is very creative. The troops in front of the gate feature some nice combos, but I think a darker color choice for the plumes would be better. As for the branches, I think this technique works, but I like the previous one a bit more. And the musket technique is more adaptable to leaves if you or someone else wanted to do that. Great creativity!

Just letting you guys know, I currently have two projects underway--one ship of the isles for an elven city by the name of Gondolin (Backstory to come with post) and the other, a 64x96 stud base Ag scene for HSS. I need to get some parts from brickwarriors and bricklink before the ship can be finished, but I just need time for the Ag build. I've also made some more figs with backstories that I might be able to post sometime this coming weekend. I don't know if I'll being building for Albion anytime soon, I've got a busy month ahead.
