  1. So I guess no TechReverse this year :/
  2. Wow, very nice. It is always nice to see compact models with such functions. I made one similar a couple years ago http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=427031 Nice work!! I Would like to see you make more models with functions in similar scale!
  3. Yes I will try to make one adjustable for different powers
  4. Yes but when you active it in the other direction the worm gear would rather slide than activate the gear so you have only 1 end functions Or both valves have to be related
  5. video is up! https://www.youtube....eature=youtu.be the assembly is just a prototype to illustrate to concept of the idea. a better and more solid frame can be made and also i would like the sliding mechanism to work as a tumbler to prevent the gear coliding with the small C frame. Zblj: Correct.
  6. The 2L beam is located on the 2 free pins in picture 1 it is absent in the picture
  7. Hello everyone. Before i explain the concept of the idea ill state that this idea may be already invented by someone. I haven's seen it anywhere so i'd like to post it. Concept: Let A and B be mechanical functions which are operated by rotating a gear. consider each function has a stop ( its not circular ) so each gear has "n" revolutions from the beginning of the function to its end, for example: and outrigger; it has two main positions, either its in or its out. The concept of this idea is that the end of each function triggers the next one and vice versa. For example: you can operate 2 functions with a single motor for example; outriggers with mini LA's (42009) When the funcion starts to work, the worm gear rotates the 8T. the 2L beam prevents it from slipping to the second function right away so: The power it takes to slide the gear should be greater than the power it takes to rotate the 8T. it is adjustable with the amount of 2L beams or types of pins. The above condition is crucial, take the highest power it takes to operate A or B and adjust the 2L beam assembly which holds the worm gear from sliding. After the functions reaches to its end, it has no choice but to slide and operate the second function right away and the same thing backwards Tested and working well!! will post video soon. 8. Here, i did it. everything works well and the structure is solid. the build was pretty easy and some changes were made.
  9. Zblj: well im working on building it again and maybe ill find better way to fill the hidden sides. 42038 is ALOT harder because not only the inside structure is hidden but also i see TLG doesnt always use the easiest and the most deductable way building.. i will repost the new LDD file. also, some parts have incorrect max angle such as the C frame assembly and the suspension arms Balrog: does everything work well? and is the model solid enough ? i wish i had the parts to build the actual thing...
  10. Do it and post a pic!! I calculated the dimensions very carefully
  11. Zblj, that would be nice, my LDD has some weird bugs where I can't add simple pins, it drives me crazy.. Got 70% of 42028 and I have to start all over to fix the position bug
  12. Hello everyone. Here is my attempt recreating the upcoming 2015 technic set 42037 There were a couple hidden areas where i had to guess, hence my model has about 30~ parts less than the set but everything is connected and should be stable. Cheers Shimon. 42037.lxf
  13. A. There's absolutely no point reinforcing the front assembly if there isn't any steering B. TLG won't use parts for no reason C. The steered model would be tilted a bit so I assume it wouldn't look good for the main pic D. I would put gears to both crane functions at the back but then the steering looks tough so I'm not sure whether the 12T can be used for steering
  14. There's a 5L axle with stop and an axle connector going out of the C frame 1+1 guys..
  15. Thanks! i think the L shaped liftarms in the front bottom are incorrect, will search for a solution.
  16. Hi. This is my attempt at recreating 42032. the inner part was a bit hard because i had several options which will all satisfy 252 parts in total and have a solid body. B-model pictures are not available yet so i cant cancel particular parts that i put and think of new combinations. For me, reverse engineering is a challenging process and i like it very much. For those who dont want to see it and spoil themselves the surprise - dont download :) Next up: 42031(will probably keep that for the TechReverse) 42035, 42037. Have a nice day :) 42032_V1.lxf
  17. Hi. reverse engineered 42038 front chassis: the question is real, the red part is a big problem since im afriad its not a bush which means theres a connector which will block the rack movement i created a possible variation of the chassis to be steerable but then at the suspension angle the steering would work a bit wierd. someone need to try it with real bricks... the missing part on the 4L axle could be either the new 1L beam or the 1L with pin connector. 42038_Steering.lxf
  18. guys relax, there is steering in the 42038. the black axle connector can be seen coming out of the C frame ending with a 5L axle with stop, im assuming since the grey liftarm is 13L then there should be a 13L rack, im working on an LDD file of the wheel assembly will post later.
  19. I was hoping this tread will be discussing the techniques used in the sets.. there are hints for new parts also, such a discussion would be interesting and mind challenging because it is ones imagination experience and skills to discover what parts lie behind the visual blurry picture, id like to have such a discussion rather than pointing out who likes reverse engineering or not just my 5 cents here :)
  20. *same reply to the 2015 post but its more relevant here* Ok. so first of all good job to Dokludi and Waler for the reverse engineering attempt on the 42031. secondly it is clear that the turntable part is wrong, they use "Technic, Pin Double with Axle Hole" with "Technic, Axle and Pin Connector Perpendicular Double " also the roof of the cabin doesnt contain 2 5L axles but one at the front and an interesting combination on the back(as seen from the black pin pointing out) the seats clearly have a new part as seen which is like "Plate, Modified 1 x 2 with Pin Hole " but an inversed verion ( the plate is pointing out rather clearly) the brick has the new 1X2 slope and 1X1 tile with 1X2 plate at the back the interesting question is the 0.5 studs offset. in my opinion the easiest way is to add double Technic, Pin Double with Axle Hole with Pin Long with Friction Ridges Lengthwise and Center Pin Hole but maybe there are aother ways. as for the roof there might be a chance for a new part because i cant yet think of a combination that would satisfy the picture. as for the 42032. in the picture the right side of the bucket arm is detached(angle between two white beams) also there are some more mistakes with the parts but overall its a nice attempt. looking forward for better pictures. and for the fun, trying to make a model from only few low res pictures is hard and very challenging. Peace.

  22. Hello everyone.. today i received a rather weird email from blservice@bricklink.com.. and the content of the letter is as following : MY DONATION, Greeting to you and your family. I am Mrs.Kim Hyun sook. A widow to late Kim Song Ho-Bong of blessed memory. I am 48 years old, my late Husband was a Director with the Construction Company here before his Sudden Death during this Country’s political Crisis in 2011, but before his death, he Deposited the Sum of $2.5million US dollars and some quantities of Gold dust worth some millions of dollars which is he hid under the safe custody of a security company here in my name as next of kin and, presently, I have been diagonized of Pancreatic Cancer, and My condition is really bad and it is quite obvious that I won’t live more than three months according to my doctors. I have no Child who is going to take care of this Huge amount of Money and the Gold dust.
