OOC: Mistakes get made. I'm certain Asphalt overlooked something. As for the hen, that's part of it's passive special: Needless to say, I've changed my action. -

BRICKYWOOD: Scum in La La Land Mafia - Sign Ups!

You should probably read this. There is no building involved, and this is not an RPG. It's more of a social game. -
"Well, um, I suppose in order for one to get to a state of peace, one is already at war. I'll admit, I've dealt with my share of lords with petty, self centred interests, but I find more often than not the people worth helping, those who cannot do so without our help, make the work we do worth while. At least, I hope so..." Annienal responds. Her mind had not thought about Wally and Ervie in a while. His lack of activity worried her, but perhaps Wally had decided to throw in the towel and did not wish to pursue his agenda, something she hoped was the case. She remember what Avina told her, about Heroica being full of naive idealists who were afraid of getting their hands dirty. She wondered what good she had done, and where fate would lead her next. She knew her destination, but she figured it'd be awhile before she reached it.

Heroica RPG - Unlimited Quest: Fields of Glory
Kintobor replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
Karie drops her Phoenix Incense. "Come on, people, we've got a bunch of chickens to fight! Cedric, feed Kiray a mead. We're wrapping this up, now, and we're having a chicken dinner tonight!" Battle Order Karie Siercon Cedric Kiray -
"As a member of this hall, you have a choice to go on whichever quest you wish to go on. That's not being a mercenary if you ask me. That's simply deciding where you want to be most useful. You assume that wealth and power are the only things one gains while adventuring." Annienal replies, giving her own opinion on being a member of Heroica. "I'd consider meeting some of the people in this hall a reward. I'd, um, also consider meeting certain people in this hall to not be worth coming here, but I do so anyways because good company's hard to, um, find." "I don't believe we have formally met. My name's, um, Annienal Anavir, at your service." Annienal shakes Hoke's hand, taking her gauntlets off before she does so.

"Well, I at least hope you managed to leave a good impact on the world." Annienal replies. "Part of me wonders what would happen on the day the world no longer needs Heroica, or heroes. Would I be happy that I no longer needed to put down injustices, or sorrowful at the fact that it means all this is over?" She shrugs her shoulders. "I suppose time will tell."

Annienal waved goodbye to Vindval, hoping he'd make a speedy and sage return. "Is, um, that a problem?" Annienal asks. "I mean, personally, I like it somewhat quieter, but I suppose it simply means people are out doing what they came here to do."

BRICKYWOOD: Scum in La La Land Mafia - Sign Ups!
Kintobor replied to KotZ's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Sure, I'll sign up. 1. I've played in a few Mafia Games on the sight: Cosplay Party Mafia and Main Street Mafia. 2. I believe I should be fine. If anything does come up, I'll let you guys know. 3. I'd prefer a writing credit somewhere, although honestly my writing does need some work, as I'm a little rusty. -

"We'll get Cedric up once we've dispersed the mob a little bit. For now, hold onto your butts!" Karie plays a Lucky Chant from the back row. Battle Order Karie Kiray Siercon -
This is simply remarkable. As someone who's struggled at making a small layout, this is really inspirational. The placement of track and the buildings is superb. Lovely stuff! Just looking this over I'm getting ideas for my own portable layout!

"I, um, don't see why not?" Annienal signs up for Quest 158. Annienal was still unsettled by Bobby's new look, but nodded her head confusedly. "Um... I, um, do?" Bobby's lingo was still simply the worst possible thing imaginable, but Annienal nodded her head, hoping he'd simply focus on Vindsval. Did she dig? She wasn't digging, nor was she anywhere near a place to do such a thing. "Please, um, do not start speaking like Bobby, Vindsval, or I will dissolve our friendship." Annienal stated, dead serious.

"Well... um... it was sort of spurred on while I was in military college. I'd spend a lot of my time reading in the library. Part of me wanted to escape, to fly away and just leave it behind, but my family's military tradition sort of held me back. I was spurred on by just reading through various tomes and literature about dragons. It, um, sort of spiralled into an obsession, I suppose. To simply fly to wherever I want to go, with no real sense of obligations to something I didn't want to, to make my own path and have no one stand in my way: I couldn't do that as just an elf. I don't even know if it's possible to turn myself into a dragon, but, um... it's worth a shot." "Well, I, um, wouldn't call most people in this hall normal, Throlar." Annienal responds.
-
"I do not intend to tap into any mere beast. You're equivocating dragons, creatures capable of speech, communication, spell casting, and logic, to that of a wolf or a badger. I find that disingenuous to the capability of dragons as creatures. To expound upon your previous point, I don't believe time is a factor when it comes to grabbing power. To those who truly want power, waiting is merely an obstacle to overcome. People have waited long periods of time to enact revenge, or to obtain something they desire."

Annienal was not just annoyed at Bobby's lacking grammar skills, but also unnerved by the raspiness of his voice. "Um... hello, Bobby... um... what's new with you?"
-
"Um... I'm enacting a new law which states that people who purposefully ruin books are to be flogged and quartered in the public square. Please, um, follow the rules that I, Empress Annienal Anavir, Dragoness of the North, set into motion, because, um... bad things will happen otherwise. Thank you, and, um, have a wonderful day. Oh, and, um, thank god for me."
-
"In brief, I, um, assume you mean to say "with great power comes great responsibility?" Annienal responds. "While I appreciate your vocabulary and statement, there is, um, a place for succinctness." "On that note, what makes you believe that heroes in this hall have not succumbed to power? I mean, I guess my goal is lofty and more out there than most, but there are heroes here who have fought dragons, demons- even, um, gods. They must be powerful to do such things. To criticize me for something you deem to be me trying to assail power when others do so far more fragrantly is, in my opinion, short sighted." Annienal waits for Pretzel's response, her tone more inquisitive than critical. "Um... yes. Yes I do." Annienal responds, matter of factly.

If you had shown this off as just being a city park, sans Barney and Friends, I'd find it absolutely wonderful, what with the details and the use of space, but looking back into my childhood, you definitely seem to have nailed it, terrifying mascots and all. Well done!

Where should the next People at the ____ take place?
Kintobor replied to legoman19892's topic in LEGO Town
Fun at the Comic Book Convention. It doesn't have to have any tie ins, but it could definitely include people dressed up in sci-fi and fantasy costumes, as well as some dealer and artist booths, a ticket area, and a food vendor. It could include printed plates with generic comics on them, as well as new printed torsos with geeky themes to them, as well as unique minifigs for Castle and Scifi builders. For figures, you could have a Food Vendor, two Dealers, an Artist, a Sci-fi Spaceman, an Elven Wizard, a Photographer, a Father, a Girl, a Boy, a Con Staff Member, a Security Guard, and just for kicks, throw a Fursuiter of some kind in there. We all know Lego would go over the moon and back for more minfigures in mascot costumes. -
"Yet people can, um, turn into wolves and other such creatures, can they not? Also, um, I'm an elf, Pretzel, just as I am sure you're not human." Annienal replies calmly. "You act as if I want to change who I am fundamentally, but that is not the case. Just as a caterpillar transforms into a butterfly, I wish to transform into something and fly away into the horizon. To feel the wind rush across me, to feel the power inside of me, and when I feel ready, um, protect those who cannot help themselves. Well, um, now that I think about it, it's less like a butterfly than I thought." Annienal mused, explaining her reasoning to the Monk and Throlar. "I don't want to stop being Annienal. If I had the choice to be a dragon but not be Annienal the dragon, then there wouldn't be any reason in my mind to oblige agreeing to such an arrangement." "I, um, haven't seen Bobby in ages." Annienal mentions, hoping deep down Bobby's vocabulary had improved, even though she knew it probably hadn't. "Um, excuse me, Bobby, do you have a moment to talk?"
