  1. Karie grabs her things, nodding to her group and begins heading for the market.
  2. If the crew believes fifteen episodes is what the series needs to wrap up, I'll take their word for it. I'd rather have a tight fifteen episodes full of plot than twenty two with half of the episodes propelling the narrative and the other half being filler. Some pretty fun filler mind you, but filler nonetheless.
  3. Karie signs up for the Fields of Glory. Karie nods her head. "Precisely. It's sad when the only man who truly wants to bring an end to slavery in this city or truly cares about that issue is Ulfric Wolfkin. There's a reason he's getting support from the minorities and the lower class in this city: he's listening to them."
  4. Karie huffs quietly. "Well, I suppose some of us have had a better company in this city than I have. Not that it matters much to anyone but me." She smiles. She was kidding herself, surely, but crushing optimism at this point in her career was something she didn't want to do. People in this hall and outside it's walls who had wronged her would pay for what they had done to her, but their times would come eventually. Karie was at least happy to be in the moment, and the prospect of going to the Fields was a change she needed from family life, if even momentarily.
  5. Karie snickers, slowly waving her hand in the air, her wedding band glistening in the light. "I've been tied down for a while, a couple of years by now at least. Siercon and I met on a quest to slay a dragon. I find Siercon agreeable enough for company."
  6. "No. I've been at home for awhile. If Siercon's been off on a quest, it's the first I've heard about it."
  7. Surprised was not something Karie was at Kiray knowing her name. Maybe the old Karie might've been. Karie was proud of the fact that she had made a name for herself in Eubric, that people recognized her by name and face. "Likewise. I believe your name is Kiray? I've seen you around the hall before, but I don't think we've had a conversation together. I'm well acquainted with your friend, Seircon, though." She gives the battlemage a thumbs up.
  8. Karie appears, having returned to the hall after an absence. She lays her gear down on the floor and leans forward onto the table, her eyes looking ready for action. "Got room for a talented minstrel on this crew?" "Are you looking to gain some experience out in the field? I might be able to assist you." Karie responds. Laying her Medal of Valor on the table. "This will put some pep in your step. If you come along, I'll let you borrow it."
  9. I don't know how many of you watch Trailer Park Boys, but the most recent season paid homage to Empire Strikes back during episode 4, titled "Darth Lahey". To be more specific, they parody the Darth Vader/Luke Skywalker fight in Bespin from Empire Strikes Back.
  10. Question: Are there any noble families in Eubric that are not affiliated with any of the houses at this point in time? I'm compiling a list for a Wolfgang quest that I'm working on.
  11. Karie could easily go on another quest.
  12. Inspiration has struck me and I'm currently writing a particularly boozy quest with the working title "Lord Bless Charlie Mopps."
  13. An idea I had was that the sharks were attracted to the blood in the water created by Salazar's crew constantly butchering pirates and some made a habit of following his ship around. When the ship crashed in the Triangle, the sharks blew up with it.
  14. "Thank you Blackgull, it was a pleasure working for you again. I, um, sincerely hope it doesn't come down to you dragging us back to you. That, um, sounds unpleasant..." Annienal replies, bowing. "Not that I'm aware of. He did drop a pair of Burning Eyes as he flew off, but they're in the possession of our... um, harlot." She responds, pointing towards Heckz with disdain.
  15. "I don't think "flying off into the distance as a phoenix" is dead, Althior. Being brief won't get us far." Annienal interjects. She turns to her superiors. "Sirs, madame, while what Althior said is mostly true, it seems someone by the name of Fenix is out to disrupt your trade lines. We managed to cause him to retreat, but the lumber was burnt in the process. He shouldn't be bothering you anymore during the construction of the fort, but he did escape in the form of a phoenix. If I were you, I'd advise building the fort in a substance other than wood. It'd prove both useful for defence, and the fort would last much longer." Annienal replies. She hoped she won't need to be more convincing to the Admiral, but feared he might be disappointed in the lack of lumber brought back from Bric'lin.
  16. Appreciate being called the resident redhead. Seriously, it takes a lot of work keeping my hair as nice as it is. Why is there no "wink and blow kiss" emoticon. This website's so lame... Are you serious? This situation was probably stirred on by Lawrence... Ugh... well, I mean, I guess I could work as a saleswoman. I've pitched enough ideas to stupider people than the common rabble before, and I can see myself at least doing a decent job selling items. That and I'm at a point in my career where kicking people out of my store isn't an issue. So long as it has nothing to do with teenagers, I should be fine. Masson. Nothing against brown haired people, but Masson's hair is way smoother to mess around with. I've ruffled Gabriel's hair one night at the Albatross just to test, and it's like comparing day and night. Also, Masson's way more prone to blushing than Gabriel it seems, at least from what I hear at the Albatross. Go back and read 70, no mind control there. Everything I did was under my own volition. The fact you don't know this means you're not a true fan. Sad.
  17. I'm not entirely sure what you're referring to. I was mind controlled by his cousin, but not my Masson. Oh, and we're married. Anyway, being mind controlled sucks. Don't get mind controlled, kids. Being mind controlled is on my top five list of things to avoid while questing. Which one, and how much? I'll sign it for you too, I know I've got a bunch of adoring fans.
  18. Alright guys, it's time to come clean. I haven't been entirely honest about Heroica, or with members of this community. I'm not actually Kintobor, the guy that plays Karie Alderflask-Cour and that other elf character who's name isn't really all that important. See, the thing is... *zip* I've been Karie the entire time! What's going on, Heroica sub-forum? It's your girl Karie Alderflask-Cour, and for the next little while I'll be doing one of these AMA things here on the general discussion board. So if anyone wants to know anything about me, I'll be here all day answering questions.
  19. Annienal snatches her keys up gleefully. She turns to thank Justin but is greeted by the sight of the back door locking. "No need to pay. Rooms are on me, tonight." Annienal hands Darksten a key. She then hands one to the Commodore and Siercon.
  20. Annienal turns to the Commodore. "Commodore Largus, you wouldn't mind vouching for me in this purchase, would you? As a member of the Hinckwells, you've seen me both in battle and out, and can testify my character. Would you be willing to do so now, so we can dispel any notion of any of us as being Wolfgang members here to pilfer Mr. Featherhead's inn?" She asks diplomatically. Heckz would not undermine her statements again, and she wouldn't allow him to bully others.
  21. Annienal swiftly moves in front of the party, not losing eye contact with Justin. Lifting her visor up, she strides to the bar and drops her bag of gold onto the bar, the gold inside jangling loudly. "Justin, I'm renting every room in your inn. Anything not covered in this I will personally trade you for in items." Annienal replies diplomatically. She places her Wine from the Vine on the bar as an added incentive. Her usual timidness had washed aside for the time being, having been replaced with a passionate and steely resolve which could be seen from her eyes. She breathed heavily as she rode a high of action and bravery. She was going to have every key on the rack behind Justin. Nothing was going to stop her.
  22. OOC: From the Wiki: Skull Shield (SP:6; immunity to dark-elemental damage; suitable to Black Knights only; shield) Annienal furrowed her brow as Heckz was handed what he demanded, something that reminded her of a small child whining belligerently in front of it's parents without understanding consequence. She kept her hand away from her blade, but should he attempt to do anything at the inn, she would not hesitate to act against him. "Let us proceed to the inn. As nice as Siercon's shower was, I'd appreciate some time to wash myself and my armour thoroughly. Appearances make good first impressions, after all."
  23. "I can understand that, I suppose. I've meet people on my journeys with... lofty goals that didn't always make sense. In all honesty, I'm not quite sure which one of us would have it worse." Annienal jokes. She looks to sky in the direction Fenix flew off in. She wondered if she'd meet him again. She had some much to ask him, although she doubted he'd be open to discussion. Annienal heaved a sigh of relief. She was thankful to be spending the night at an inn again, although she knew she'd have to keep an eye on Heckz. "Indeed. Let us head in." Annienal agrees, nodding her armoured head. Annienal stands in the rain, allowing herself to soak off. The smell of smoke still hung to her, but at least she was a little cooler. She snorts in laughter as Siercon is zapped. "Thanks, Siercon. This wasn't what I had in mind, but, um, it'll do none the less. I appreciate your assistance."
  24. "Well, I, um, am glad to be of continued assistance, Commodore Largus. You wouldn't happen to have any information on who Fenix is, do you? I don't think I've ever read of a man with the capability to turn into a phoenix. Or, um, perhaps he was a phoenix in the body of a man?" Annienal pondered. "Um, Siercon?" Anninenal inquired, "I know I sold it to you, but is it possible I could borrow the aquamarine I sold you? I need to, um, wash some things after our last fight." Annienal asked, hoping Siercon would be amicable enough to lend her a hand.
  25. So, yeah, I told you guys so that Sato was going to meet his end this season. Although, perhaps not in the manner I was originally predicting. Super glad my boy Kallus made it out in one piece. His whole arc has been incredible. It's amazing seeing him from his first appearance to now, how legitimately well the show staff have done his arc. Hopefully now that he's with the rebel alliance in person and not as a double agent we'll be seeing more of him. Also nice to see Thrawn make it out alive. I found the Bendu's comment about Thrawn ultimately being defeated interesting, especially the "many arms surrounding you in a cold embrace" remark by the Bendu. A reference to the way Thrawn died in the original continuity, via assassins, maybe?
