Lucky son of a-

Karie's mind goes to work, observing the shapeshifting being in front of her, his menacing new weapon coming into being before the party. "Some days, I wish I slept in. It seems like Doppel changes his appearance and abilities depending on who's dealt damage to him last. Barradock should tackle the Grenade, while the rest of us deal with the Doppel. Sorry mate, but at this rate, we need those grenades taken care of. As much as I like the prospect of the thing's power being drained significantly, I don't think we should risk it." Karie looked down at the paper doll strapped to her belt. She was finally immune to it. She could no longer be hexed to the biddings of others. She felt as if she had a safety net protecting her from falling. Her fears would never leave her, but at least she would never be a puppet again. "I got these scrolls, too guys. I could fire off Frailty on him, or his weapon. Skrall?" OOC: Skrall and Barradock should both have a Blind Fury, and I should be down a Pumpkin Bomb and I no longer have the Pixie Dust. I also equipped the Paper Doll.

I like! I was thinking of doing something similar in 91, but it seems you beat me to the punch.

Her amulet's buggered: it only works whenever she's not on a quest, unfortunately for her. Or at least, that's my two cents. You've been active, constructive, and participated in discussions. I think you're good.

Karie shouts at Augustus over the roaring of the wind and the rain, turning her ponytail into a wind sock. Her voice was laced with panic and tension, her face turning rosy from the cold. "That... thing that looks like your brother was once human! Those voices you heard were all people being experimented on. There's been at least four others before him, all of whom are dead! He's no longer human, he's some twisted shapeshifter that's taken the form of your brother! The things that did that to him somehow managed to program his brain into killing people! If we don't stop this thing here and now, it's going to go on a killing spree!"
-
So the question is whether it's Karie disguised as Doppel, or Doppel disguised as Karie?
-
"Thought I was a twisted experiment with shapeshifting abilities?" ZIP! FWOOSH! "Acting. And a skin tight outfit. Yeah."
-
Then do that. If it works, it works.

I don't think Drake was kicked out, we just ignored his antics because... well, really there was no way to respond to him. He just wasn't a good roleplayer. He did his own thing, and hell, and that was his downfall. He was playing a one man band with the orchestra getting irritated at him. Still, it's good to sometimes have an example to say "don't do this", and Drake as a character is an excellent example of how a character needs to follow what others are saying and play off of others. I'd say the alcohol content is slim, if even noticeable, sort of like saki. If you drank enough, you'd get a good buzz, but nothing too potent that one's not going to get you labelled as an alcoholic. You mean we're not playing as Lego people.

Karie watches the two run off, left blinking as they chase after Doppel. "I think they're okay." She follows the crew after Doppel.

Karie watches in horror as Octavyn is tossed aside and Doppel transforms into a near exact copy, racing out the door. Karie rushes to Octavyn, helping him up. "Are you hurt? He didn't jab you or anything? Is anyone hurt?" Karie looked the two heroes over, a look of fear dawning over her. "You two, we gotta go, now! If he makes it to the top, there's no telling what the hell he's going to do?"

When has it been tropical? Uland has temperate forests. I don't remember seeing any indication Uland was tropical.

Quick question: it snows in Eubric, right?
-
It was Han.

It's Bionicle, isn't it. I know very little on the backstory, besides Makuta's the big bad and the big light spirit's the island or something.

I think I've made it clear what kind of a player I am in this game, and it's not a min/max stat everything play style. I'm the anti-Docken. Well that makes absolutely no sense in my mind. Your imbuing a weapon with light and dark elements. The sword should implode upon itself. I may do it to one of my weapons, but not now. The Oculoid Palm and Sexy are fine for now, and I don't have the funds to be imbuing stuff left right and centre AND pay for ether and potions and stuff.
-
Wouldn't the Diamond negate the effects of the Amethyst? You can't have a weapon that's both holy and unholy. Where's the logic in that?
-
Rule of thumb I go by: don't worry about gems. They can help you out in a bind, but can also be a burden. If any, go for an amethyst, darkness energy, and socket it in a secondary weapon. Your primary weapon should never have gems infused, so you're never at a disadvantage when dealing with enemies. As well, you'll want to have one non elemental to deal with ethereal enemies, which are starting to become popular.

Yeah. Take a note from Karie's book: Don't kill them, simply knock them out, wipe their memories, and pretend like nothing happened.
-
Karie felt the world shatter as Skrall shot off his arrow. She looked down, somewhat confused. She equipped the Paper Doll and drew Sexy. There was no turning back after this.

I thought Sandy did. He used to oversee all the Advance Class progressions, but doesn't any more.

<- That face. That face sums up season two as a whole for me. On one hand, the stuff in the spirit realm and Wan was . I liked Varrick as a character, and thought he was fun. I like that Korra and Mako is finished and we can move on. I love seeing what the happened to some of the characters that didn't get full resolutions in the original show. Seeing Zhao and the professor's fates was a nice, and incredibly dark touch. This show had some really genius moments, and some really goddamn stupid ones too. Varrick pretty much stole the show for half the season, which I felt was squandered. If I wanted to see Varrick, I'd create a Varrick miniseries, which it pretty much turned into. What are we doing today? Oh, more Varrick.... cool... I guess. And what was his whole plot anyways? To initiate a war between Republic City and the Northern Water tribe to gain profits? It's hinted at that, but it's never explained. He's just a villain for the plot connivence's sake. And then there's Unalock. What an uninspired villain. He's evil because he's power hungry. He could have been so good, manipulating Korra, believing that the world's lost touch with the spirits and going on a divine purge to regain the connection. But nope, he's just with Vatuu to gain power. And kill Ravaa. And cause Korra to turn into Dr. Manhattan. And not actually kill Ravaa but lose connection to the past avatars. The season was a mess. A disorganized mess. It had it's ups, but for every awesome, amazing episode, I can point to three pointless, filler ones. I wasn't too happy with the season as a whole. The ending I thought was fine, if a little bit weird. So the spirits can come and go as they please? What's that going to solve? What does that even assist in doing? I don't know, I wasn't all to impressed really. They better pick the ball up, or else I'm out next season. On a separate note, Twilight Sparkle's Sceptre is apparently a thing now. -
Karie could feel the pressure hit her as Barrabock backs off. Rightfully so, she wouldn't dare go near the darn thing, in fear of being impaled, but she tried her hardest not to show it. "Listen. Look out of the cell. Look at the masses of crud and ink that rest on the floor. They were your enemy. They turned you into what you are, and you realized that, and you killed them. Don't turn into what they thought you could be used for. You're not them, you're clearly not. I want to help you. These bastards did things to me too."

I've been loving Heckz since day one. I hosted the guy twice, and he's probably one of my favourite PCs. I love you all equally, but Heckz is on a different level entirely.
