Karie rubs her shoulder. "No, I understand. I personally don't know if I had any "good ol' days", really. Then again, who am I to talk, I'm only 22!" She chuckles. But there was truth to what she said. She never had any truly excellent days. Only bittersweet ones.

"Thanks for at least listening. I know far too many people who would have sent me off before even getting a chance to explain myself." She lets Sorrow out of her grip. "No, not that I'm aware of. My adoptive father often prays to Mercuito, what being a contract merchant and all. Why you ask?"

Heroica RPG- Quest #91: The Sounds of Music
Kintobor replied to Kintobor's topic in The Heroica Archive
The horse seems less interested in Ellaria and more interested in the contents of the bag, although it does give a reply. "Neeigh... <Can't talk right now, lady. Eating muffins. Omnonon>" Being clever and clearly short enough to fit under the wagon, Hybros crawls on his hands and knees through the cold mud that made up the city street. Coming to the other side, before he can get up a pair of feet block his path. Looking up, a werewolf looks him over, his eyes gleaming in the light, a scar over his left eye. His left hand swivels on the hilt of his sword, while his right holds a torch. He allows the imp to get up, but before he can do anything he chuckles. "What have we here? A red assassin? What a surprise, I'm flattered, honestly. Alright lads, out you come! We have guests to attend to!" His voice was as dry as a desert, with hints of youth. He smacks the horse on the rear end, and it hastily moves down the street as a flock of armed men swarm the party, weapons at the ready. The werewolf kicks Hybros back to his party, the imp landing in the mud. "Greetings, gentlemen and lady. The name's Lupine. Lupine the Third, perhaps you've heard of me, or maybe even my grandfather? No, well now you have! And this here is my motley crew." "Oh, oh, that's us! So nervoucited guys!" "If my intel is correct, you would be the hired Tritech couriers, correct?"- 286 replies

Karie looked back at Sorrow, sort of confused. "That's it?" Karie takes in a deep breath, exhaling, she gets up, brushing herself off. "I expected this to go horribly to be honest, something along the lines of you disowning me, or something. Well... thanks for understanding, um... grandpa." She awkwardly, yet affectionately hugs Sorrow, squeezing him.

Wind whips snow around the quiet streets, as the moon rises into the sky as the party huddles for warmth. Despite this, the city is still well lit, with the streets illuminated. It still doesn't help, as the party can't shake the feeling their being watched, followed, stalked. Just near the Hovel wall, the party comes to a curious sight: their path is blocked by a horse and cart. The only thing breaking the ambience of the wind is the healthy looking mare, munching contently on the contents inside a bag. "Munchmunchmunch.... <Mmm, these muffins sure are tasty! Omnomnom...>" What will the party do?- 286 replies

You sort of need to see 79: Fading Spark to get all the hints Endgame's dropping. I know what's going on.
-
"No, Sorrow. I'm set on this. If this was some fling, I wouldn't want him not knowing about the Harvester until today." She sighed. "I told Octavyn, one of the other higher ups, to withhold the information on the Harvester being replicated until... well... today. So that last night we could actually enjoy it. I care about Masson. And I know what would happened if I acted like this was some fling." She turned away. She couldn't bear to hear what Sorrow had to say. "You can go ahead and say I disappointed you. It's not like I've already been told that a million times before."
-
"Well, you're the one who apparently knows what happened last night. Answers you're question, doesn't it? And in case we're on separate tracks, we had sex last night. Just making sure." Karie looked away from Sorrow. She secured herself for the potential storm.

Post about Cartoons and Anime you like
Kintobor replied to Peppermint_M's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Speaking of which, Pony, Pony, Pony. Castle-Mania I thought was fun. Nothing truly spectacular, but definitely funny! Rarity had me laughing out loud when she just blurted out "She's with me." I don't know why, but the way Tabitha read that was hysterical! The animation just keeps getting better! The shadow effects, the scene with Rainbow and Applejack going down the staircase, I remember those scenes vividly! But, I feel Pinkie was a bit out of character, particularly since she's my favorite of the bunch. Its hard to write Pinkie, but she's sort of like Starfire from Teen Titans in a sense. She's not stupid, far from it. Pinkie just tends to miss the point. Hilariously. With Pinkie, I assume it's because Pinkie's on an ascended plane of thinking, Star's a foreigner and doesn't get the customs. Two of my favorite characters, and I now realize how similar they are! Fillerish, yes, but we at least have a potential villain and we have a substitute to the letters. Oh, how I'm going to miss "Dear Princess Celestia..." All in all, it was good fun. Daring Don't has already been controversial enough. People either love it or hate it and I'm... neither really. I thought it was okay, really. It just boggles the mind that Daring Do is real. I loved Read it and Weep, so this new episode sort of feels... weird coupled with it. However, I do certainly don't hate theidea! We now have all these other things going on! Equestria feels bigger! It feels like a world with various things going on, instead of a world centred around the Mane 6. Overall, I certainly don't hate the episode, but it's not one I'm going to remember down the line. -
"Well it was over the period of a day... and a half... I think..." Karie twirls her finger around her bangs nervously. "Oh great, I could be have some crazy spirit connection and not know it. This is just perfect. Now I've got more things to add to my list of things that are out to kill me. I'm surprised only one opponent I've come across has actually been knocked off. Sunk with her own stupid cloth..." Karie crossed her arms. This debate had gone from being about her betrayal of her party to how she could be some important spire of... poolness. Or something.

Heroica RPG- Quest #91: The Sounds of Music
Kintobor replied to Kintobor's topic in The Heroica Archive
OOC: Yes, you must carry the device. I've given it some WP, so it's not a complete lose, but you can swap it between and during battles, just like a normal weapon. It just needs to be used by someone. You can still use gems, since it is in your class description. Same goes for scrolls. It's just if you want to attack, you'll be slowed and attacking with the WP:3.- 286 replies

Haha! That's neat! I really like it! I think the only thing it's missing is a few passengers, and you'd be set!
-
Very nice! Coming from someone who has his own travelling 4x6 layout, it's somewhat envious seeing what others have built as groups! Nice video!

Karie reads on in disgust. Was she capable of turning into... that? "Arthur, you're loosing me. Either that, or I have a terrible memory, which I already know I do. Just what are these Spirit Pools, Arthur? You know I have little recollection of my childhood? I don't remember if I did have any nightmares that could have been real. Yeah, I've had nightmares, tons, but I can't really recall any that seemed real." Karie's mind wandered off into the moments she got hexed. All three of them. She wound up meeting him. The Emcee in each. It was just a hallucinogenic reaction though, right?
-
"I can't imagine their being only one, though. There's probably more than one, I guarantee there's more than one... Arthur, I don't know why you're telling us about this Regret. I think I remember someone talking about Proggs, but what does he have to do with the Harvester?"
-
Ugh, I really like Vulnerable and Sundered! I honestly like both!
-
"Well, he wasn't getting Heroica's attention as much as it was the Watch's. He was trying to reform Wolfgang members, using this device called the Harvester: it could remove senses, but it could also make the more lethal Wolfgang members no longer members of the Wolfgang, turning them to his side. I'd rather see them with the Syndicate than with Ulric, and most of the men weren't actually converted in that manner. Many joined on their own. That and they did try to flush one Watch Member of his previous encounter with them. But they're not evil! The Syndicate's goal is to bring the Wolfgang down and bring peace to the city. The Harvester is gone: crushed, smashed to pieces. Well... no... that's a lie." Karie looks worryingly at the two. "The Oculoids... somehow managed to peer through Masson's head. They have the Harvester design. It was the one thing that kept me from him, the one thing that I told him if he didn't destroy it, we couldn't be together. And I thought it was gone. And now it's back. I fear that damn thing with a passion. It haunts my dreams, his nephew who used it on me on my first quest, he haunts my dreams. He was so close to using me as..." Karie goes quiet. She simply looks out into nothing, curling herself up.
-
I believe you mean "desserts". Protip: you want to make a room full of Bronies flare up in arguments, drop destiny into any conversation. Trust me.
-
"Well, the falling in love bit was over a period of time. It wasn't love at first sight, mind you, but... I realized that the man was willing to commit himself to me. And I eventually warmed up to him. So yeah, you got the just of it." Karie sits down against the wall, looking crestfallen.
-
I think the only one that needs to be added is Bleeding. Most of the other ones are Endgame's mischievous creations.
-
I believe that's the standard. Not sure why it's not an official status effect yet, it's relatively widespread.
-
Karie twiddles her thumbs, looking rather guilty. She at least hoped Arthur would be here for protection, incase anything awful happened. "Well, this doesn't entirely have to do with you, but it does have to do with me, and I figured that now is as good a time as any, seeing as how Arthur's here." She took a deep breath, and prepared herself for what she was about to say. "You see, Masson and me... I wound up falling in love when... oh god, I'll make this simple: I betrayed the party back when I first met Masson. Sort of. Me and Octavyn staged a kidnap, I went to see Masson, Masson said I could join the Syndicate and I did, since I couldn't join the Watch to get at Ulric since Patricia killed my sister but Ulric got her into his bed and other stuff so I thought my best option was to join the Syndicate, I got beaten up by my party in a fight, then I rejoined my party, then I talked Masson out of getting himself killed and using the Harvester and he broke the blasted device, and that's why I'm with the Syndicate and dating Masson." Karie panted, obviously making what could have been very simple very long and very long winded. "There, it's out! Give me your worst. I sort of deserve it. Arthur already knows, he talked me out of fighting him and the rest of my crew."
-
Do you like, mmmmmmm, bananas? If anyone gets the reference, a winner is you.
