The problem that I see with this proposed turn order is we do not know the range of the tank's explosion. It could hit Soren and I as much as it hits Crunch, and as you suggest, if it hits Pierce, it is likely hitting you as well. Moving back puts us in range of Crunch and Pierce's guns, which we don't want happening. Also, considering there was an explosion earlier, one would expect the tanks to blow up with that explosion, but they haven't. I wouldn't be surprised if the tanks are empty, or if they were designed to withstand such an explosion.

"A rather unsavoury layer of town you're heading off to. I can provide you with the coordinates if you would hold on for a moment..." Uliz mumbles under his breath as he pulls up the coordinates on his computer. "Here. Go North five blocks and then West two blocks. You'll then need to descend to the lowest level accessible from a public lift to reach this warehouse of theirs. Seems as if though there's nothing above the warehouse, despite it having a number of floors. Now, if there's nothing further we have to discuss, I can show you to the door."

The reason I have Yelana firing at Pierce is to force her to put up another Warding Bond as I'll be directly able to strike her next turn. We're setting up an offensive next turn, and having all three of us attacking Pierce puts a lot of pressure off of us, even if I don't succeed at getting Crunch off the train. Pierce has been pretty clear in dialogue that she doesn't want to negotiate. If you want to try, go ahead, but you're putting the mission in jeopardy doing so. Running won't be an option at that point. We need to apply pressure this turn or get wiped off the board next turn.

MM Note: Due to the recent rules update, Meditate is no longer a spell. Zepher, if you could tell me which spell you would like to replace Meditate for Merei I can add it into your known spells list for the remainder of the mission.

Zaria recoils from the explosion, turning her attention to an injured Soren. "Soren, you need to heal yourself, now! Yelana, fire on Pierce, we need that ward down now!" She looks to Crunch, a righteous fury growing within her. "The Menahi is going to regret what he has done. Varuth, favour me in my time of need!" Zaria bull rushes to F2 and attempts to push Crunch off the train through the hole in the wall.

There's been a bit of a misunderstanding here. The warehouse your going to is not the warehouse beneath Melbrook Heights, but rather is a separate location. That's a mistake on my end. "Carvrac?" Uliz mouth twists in a look of confusion before shaking his head. "No, no, the warehouse below is owned by the Westward Liquidation Company, not some Carvrac figure. Also, we would refer to that as the "ground floor", not the first floor. We are using the Imperial system here, not some League notions of designating floors in a structure or dwelling. Besides, the Liquidation warehouse is not even the lowest building on this spire. Everything in this planet was built upon the ruins far, far below the uppermost levels of the planet. There are some... interesting things in the ruins beneath the city, but it's also not a place for the foolhardy or the unprepared."

"...can it not be in the dishwasher?" Sid doesn't respond, but Mel gives Yissam♥ a grudging glare for her patronizing comment. Having gotten the information they needed, the group leaves the condo and descends back to the ground floor. As the doors open, a group of medics waits in the lobby, looking to get past the heroes. They carry with them bulky plastic cases full of medical equipment. Uliz seems flustered, turning to the heroes and sneering. "Just what is the meaning of this? You four- where do you think your going? I've been informed that there's been a medical emergency on the third floor condo. You lot are responsible for this, aren't you?" Uliz points an accusatory finger at the party.

Wow. So, that round sucked for us. Couple things to ask. Since Crunch tossed their grenade, is it removed from their inventory? And Zaria should still be at 2 Spirit, correct?

"In terms of criminal elements on Cosmpoli, the Wings of Fury are small fry, but they're still armed and dangerous. I don't know what the assailant's going to do once they get to the warehouse, but the gang's loaded to the teeth. When I went to deliver the speeder to Carvrac, I went straight through the front entrance of the warehouse. I doubt you'll have such an easy time. The Wings of Fury may be well armed, but they're also not the brightest group around. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a way to sneak in." Sid shakes his head feebly. "Carvrac and I made the deal in person: we supply him with cars, he pays us a percentage of the speeder's value once sold on the black market. Considering the assailant came to me and not straight to Carvrac, I'd guess he still has the speeder." Sid coughs hoarsely before responding. "A thug with enough experience to back up his threats. He's been the leader of the Wings of Fury since it was created, if I recall. Dude's a prick with a cruelty streak, but he knows when to keep things quiet and when he can get away with something more rash. He approached me since he heard my crew were decent mechanics and could work fast. Money was tight, and he was willing to pay in credits up front for any high end speeders we stole. I won't lie: my crew were doing petty crimes before Carvrac showed up, but this ain't worth it." He raises his bloodied stump, covered in glitches in reality.

As Yissam♥ begins to question Sid, Mel begins to speak up, waving her hands. "Look, I really appreciate the help you four have been offering, but I think it's time that you-" "No, Mel." Sid interrupts. "If these four are crazy enough to think they can take that sword-wielding whirlwind on, let 'em." Sid straightens himself to the best of his ability before continuing to speak. "The assailant came in here half an hour ago asking who I sold a Blue Haast Dragoon V4 to. It's a fancy freaking speeder. I told them I sold it to the Wings of Fury Speedercycle Club, which is true. Their clubhouse is an old warehouse a few layers down: it has the distinction of not having anything built on top of it. I figured I might as well let Carvrac handle them, maybe bunch their teeth in." Sid goes into a coughing fit. "If Mel wasn't here to administer the adrena-needles... I'd probably be dead right now... and if you four didn't show up when you did... well, I'll be counting my blessings going forward."

OOC: Couple of things to note. 1. WBD, a bit of house keeping first, Zaria no longer has the folder, Soren does. 2. I agree in taking out Pierce: she'll wind up being the biggest threat on the board while alive. We should take her out while we have the initiative and remove her as a threat, and that is feasible with how low her skill is. However, I'm also concerned about Slice. His ability to potentially slip in behind us could cause trouble, so I recommend that I stay close to you two in case he tries to do so, allowing me to slip in and smack him around. I'm going to suggest I go first to allow me to inspire either of you two this first round and potentially in rounds to come, as I fear Zaria's close combat expertise is only going to come into play once Slice or Crunch show up in our faces, which I see Slice doing before crunch due to equipped weapons. Thoughts?

Bers scours the condo, looking for something to quench his thirst for alcohol. Opening up the refrigerator, Bers discovers a large bottle Cavadian Royal Rum. Looking over the bottle, it has a staggering 40% alcohol content and an advisory on the back label to drink in moderation. Not worry, there's more action to come.

Merei Medicine Check (DC: 2): (2,5,6) Two Successes Merei's limited understanding of medicine and the medicinal applications for the magical arts allows her to come to the conclusion that although Sid's hand is probably gone, healing magic can close the wound and increase his chances of survival from such a grievous wound. The dwarf turns to look at Merei, giving her a weary nod. "While I appreciate the help, what I need is for this idiot to calm down and let me jab him where the needle needs to go. Son of a... this is the last adrena-needle in the cabinet and those doctors are nowhere to be found!" "I-I don't know where they- urgh, they went! They came into my condo and accosted me, and when I tried to defend myself... they took my hand clean off! Threatened to take my other one off too if I- if I didn't..." "Are you megablocking live streaming this right now?" Sid exclaims hysterically. "I'm bleeding out on the floor and you're LIVE STREAMING THIS?!" Yissam♥ evokes Momentary Reversal: (Occult Proficiency Check: 6) Two Vitality restored! Yissam♥ casts Entropic Mending on Sid, managing to close his wound for the time being as reality shifts around it. It's clear from his expression that he's still in pain, but he'll likely now live. Sid's breathing calms down as his head rests against the side of the dishwasher. "...thanks." He nods in appreciation, clearly exhausted. Opening up what Kirwin initially believes is an icebox, they soon find it is actually a dishwasher. Kirwin Coding Proficiency Check (DC: 2, 4): (4,4,4,5) Four Successes Turning their attention to the computer station, Kirwin fiddles with the device until they manage to get access to the camera system for the outside of the condominium. The connection is stable enough to get a clean view of the footage. Rewinding through the camera footage, Kirwin eventually discovers a figure climbing up the trellis half an hour ago, and climbing back down five minutes afterwards. They manage to get a good look at them. Although looking human, the assailant's skin is an odd shade of blue, bordering on unhealthy looking. A series of scar tattoos dots their face, and ruby red lipstick outlines their lips. As they deftly climb up the trellis in the recording, a long, thin blade is seen strapped to their back, their array of tools strapped to a second belt around their waist. After a few minutes go by, they climb back down the trellis and rush across the lawn, eventually out of the camera's view.

Heroica: Glory Amongst The Stars - General Discussion

Considering recent events in Mission #4, I'd like to take a moment to discuss the concept of terms of service and how it applies to live-streaming platforms, @CMP. -
Stepping into the elevator, the elevator's metal doors close behind them. The sound of gears and pulleys echoes through the elevator shaft as the elevator ascends the heroes up, from the ground floor, past the first and second floor, and finally to the third floor. As the door's open, an immediate howl of pain hits the party's ears. "Gods, oh gods, ehhhh, shit, shit shit!" A fit of coughing follows up the crying as a grisly sight unveils itself to the party. Looking to the ground, the party can see a severed hand clutching a switchblade surrounded by a pool of blood. Blood drips along the elevator door and wall in a crimson arc, dribbling across the floor towards a dwarf tending to a man missing his right hand, cradling his arm as she prepares to inject a syringe. The sink and dishwasher are also covered in blood. "Errgh, the pain..." The man is as pale from blood loss, shaking against the wall. Blood still drips from his hand stump. "Will you hold still, Sid! I need get this injected into your arm." Sid notices the heroes enter, making eye contact with them but is too weak to act.

"Hey, hey, hey! No weapon discharges in the lobby or in the building! If you are going to act like a child I will confiscate your weapon." Uliz's usually dry commentary was replaced with a sudden burst of anger. Going back to his computer terminal, Uliz dials up condo three. After a few moments of no response, he dials the condo up again. Once again, no response. "Hmm. Odd. Normally the tenant of condo three is very good at picking up his receiving device. One moment, if you'd permit." Uliz pushes a series of buttons on his computer before flicking a large red switch and begins dryly speaking, turning away from the heroes. "Condo three, this is Security Officer Uliz. I see you have the switch turned on informing me you are in the washroom. I am obligated to inform you that you have guests coming up to greet you." He sneers before finishing. "Thank you for your time." He presses the large red switch in the opposite direction before turning back to the heroes. "You are free to use the elevator to head up to condo three, and I ask that you keep any noise to a minimum. The walls are fairly good at insulating noise, but this building wasn't designed with new, ear destroying audio technology in mind." Uliz pushes a few buttons on the terminal which open the elevator doors. "If there is nothing else you need to discuss with me, then I hope you have a pleasant evening."

"Take one step and you will find my blade through your neck before you find your prize." Zaria replies. "The choice is yours. Get off this train and leave, or move further in and meet my blade in combat."
