"Yelana! Back in line. The time for negotiations is over." Zaria barked. "Ready your weapon and hone your mind, we need you at our back."
-
Zaria smiled, pointing her sword at the coral haired woman. "I care not for the exchange of pleasantries: you have endangered the lives of countless people on this train. I offer you one opportunity to leave your mission behind, but I think you and I both know that is not going to happen." Zaria steeled herself, knowing this fight would be challenging but ready for what awaited her.
-
Zaria grabs her sword as Soren tosses it to her and unsheathes it, readying her stance with a flourish of her blade. She sizes up her opponents, looking to see what she'd be stepping into. OOC: I don't even know if this is something I can do, or what kind of info you want to give, but I'm curious for any info that might help me figure out if jumping into this fight is suicide or not.

"Soren, hold onto my sword for a moment just in case I need to use a little force to open this door." Zaria attempts to open the door. If it doesn't she attempts to pull the door open.

Yissam♥ Coding Proficiency Check (DC 1): (1,2,3,5) One Success Yissam♥ Performance Proficiency Check (DC: 3): (1,3,3,5 +1 Success) (1,2,5,5 +1 Success) Three Successes Yissam♥ quickly manages to set up her rig without issue and present Uliz into the shot, still frowning and looking far too stoic and stone faced for Yissam♥'s energy. After finishing her request to the chat, it explodes in responses from her audience. "Wow. Lame. Not POG." "Can't believe this clown doesn't know who Yissam♥ is. " "<comment removed by moderator>" "Seriously? Can you show up at my house? " "This guy screams of being some fascist loser!" "Cannot believe some lucky fan won this!" Uliz groans, seemingly unimpressed but proven wrong. "It does appear you are, indeed, this Yissam♥ character. Very well, I will call up condo three and inform them you are going to be present to surprise them." Uliz focuses on his terminal and begins to call up condo three's tenants. "Please hold here while I get a hold of Sid and inform him of... ugh, that he has guests arriving." Uliz pushes a few buttons and turns away from the group to speak to, seemingly, Sid.

Zaria handed Soren her blade. "I need you to hold this." She turns to the stewardess. "Get all of the passengers out of this car. I do not know what is behind these doors, but if there is someone stuck in engineering still, I am going to get them out." Zaria moves to the doors to engineering and places her hand near it, looking to see if there's heat coming from behind it.

Heroica: Glory Amongst The Stars - General Discussion
Kintobor replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in Heroica! The RPG!
Do we have an inspiration system like Dungeons & Dragons? Can I hand out brownie points? -
Zaria was already into the fray, unable to hear Bloeberis' response as she steps aside to let the passengers in the business car through. She approaches the attendant. "Are you alright? Do you have any idea what happened?"
-
Uliz straightens himself in his chair, more so than he already was prior to Bers speaking to him. "Hmm, I can certainly call Sid and ask him if he's expecting company. B3R5-3rk, give me one moment while I contact the third floor condo." Uliz presses a few buttons on the computer terminal in front of him as he prepares to call Sid's condo. Uliz looks up from the terminal, the bars on his screen fluctuating for a moment before he speaks to Yissam♥. He frowns, his words dripping with oily disinterest. "Yissam♥? I cannot say I have heard of you. I am far too old and far too busy to worry about whatever children are watching nowadays. Besides, you could merely be some kind of imposter using this cover as a ruse. Brerer Security Solutions prides itself on the safety it provides tenants, landlords, and business owners. If I allowed anyone claiming to be some wants-to-be celebrity into the building what kind of security officer would I be? Prove to me that you are indeed this streamer named Yissam♥, that this is not merely some ruse, and I will consider letting you up."

Zaria stood up in her seat. "Well, it looks as if we're going to be reacting a little sooner than expected." She approached Bloeberis, removing her khopesh from her back but keeping it sheathed. It would be far easier to draw it from beside her. "Bloeberis, if you do not mind I will be investigating further up the train." Zaria contemplated putting her sunglasses on but decided against it, placing them in her bag. She didn't understand how these made people look cooler, but she could ask someone ten times younger than her some other time. She turns to Yelana with a confident smile. "You want to know Varuth says regarding our current predicament, Yelana? He is the Joyful Hotelier, yes, but he is the god of the road and of the traveller, and he disdains those who prey on the weak and those who participate in acts of banditry. So let us deliver some divine judgment on these bandits!" Zaria leads the way into the chaos of the dining car and towards the business car.
-
Zaria's nostrils flared. She took off her sunglasses and rubbed the bridge of her nose with her fingers. "You have attempted once before to try and use my deity's name to pressure me into doing something, Yelana, and the last time you did I thought I made my point, but if I must make it again I gladly will. Now, the both of you, knock it off. As group leader, which both of you agreed to and suggested, relax for a moment. It is like neither of you two have meditated before. I understand what is going on fairly well. If what Soren says is true and the drone was found, I imagine that means it was decommissioned by Soren. If you are insistent on what I did, I helped Soren get into speaking with the engineers. I was not present when he did as we needed a distraction which I provided. I then returned here to ponder for a bit when I felt my ruse was running out. I will do much, but continuing to lie to the staff of the train has left me on edge, even if most of these lies have been harmless in nature. We are at point where we need to be reactive. If we move out of this car anymore I imagine individuals will get suspicious. We have the intel and the dwarf has no reason to suspect a theft took place. If things go smoothly from here we should be able to just walk off the train at Con'Stop." Zaria looked at her companions, trying to keep the group together in one piece and pacify minds. "Cooler heads will prevail here."
-
Zaria put a finger to her mouth, pointing at the dwarf. "No, we do not need to go over the documents." Zaria exclaimed in a hushed tone. "We know the details of the document, and I can reiterate any of them to you should you desire. We do not need you scanning them. They are staying on my person, and considering you lifted items from my bag in front of my face, why should I trust you with the folder out in the open? Besides, the dwarf is right over there!" Zaria crossed her arms. "You are also forgetting a perspective here. Your own. It is safe to say that the tickets were stolen as a means of keeping us off the train. We are the only three people capable of stopping whoever is trying to steal the cube: of course they'd want us off the train. You yourself said you saw a black clad O'Kor'Uk male walk off into the crowds at Parous, this sounds like Blackguard wanted to keep us off the train so that their scheme could go unimpeded, and they stole the tickets." "Soren is right. As far as I am concerned, the cube is out of our reach. We have no plan to transport the cube once we have it. It is radioactive, produce light, and emits a sonic frequency, meaning everyone will know that it is in our possession the moment we grab it. If we grab that cube, we are dead."
-
"I have heard of this Blackguard, but only in passing. Where I am from, it is far more often to see local militias protecting their towns, and most mercenaries are independent contractors or affiliated with small, regional guilds or churches. Nothing on the scale of Blackguard, or even Heroica." Zaria stretches her shoulders, first rotating them and then stretching her arms in bicep extensions, preparing for potential action. "So, what are your thoughts as to how to move forward? As much as I would like to run across the roof and righteously strike down whatever is above us, I doubt that I will be doing so anytime soon." Zaria smiles at the thought.

The man behind the desk turns his head up to look at Merei, the screen looking into her eyes. He frowns. "Good evening, Merei." He speaking to the celestial in a slithering, monotone tone twinged with cool aloofness. It's obvious from this distance that the man is less a receptionist and more a security guard: his name tag reading Uliz Zrero : Brerer Security Solutions. "You may call me Uliz. I am the security officer here at Melbrook Heights. With what do I owe the... pleasure of assisting you with this evening?" He clasped his hands together on his desk and leaned forward, his voice dry with disinterest.

Merei opens the door, holding onto the cold metal handle. As she steps inside, a loud electric buzzer echoes throughout the entrance lobby. The lobby is much quieter than outside the building. The walls are decorated in an aging tan wallpaper, although it's entirely possible at one point they were white. At several places, the wallpaper peels back to reveal the aging metal used in the building's construction. Fake leafy plants sit in large pots by the entrance, covered in dust. The brown carpet has signs of spilled drinks and chemical stains caked into it with age, and a low humming noise reverberates throughout the lobby. There's a stiff, nose tingling odour in the air, similar to a hospital ward. Against the back wall is a wooden desk, behind which is a valtar maintaining a small computer, his uniform too clean and tailored for his surroundings with a brightly polished name tag on his left breast. The headset on his head seemingly replaced his vision and hearing, a screen replacing where his eyes would be and large implants grafted onto the sides of his head. To his immediate left is a large golden bell, and to his right is a steaming mug. Behind him is a large collection of items, from a boombox and a water heater, to even a blaster pistol and a chainsaw. Why they were stacked behind him wasn't clear. The heroes noticed a small terminal, an elevator, and a door beyond the elevator with a sign above it identifying it as a stairwell.

Zaria exhales, closing her meditation with a final prayer. She opens her eyes and turns to Soren. "Worse how? Did you manage to find the drone in the engineering car?" Zaria replies.

Kirwin Coding Proficiency Check (DC 2, 4): (1,2,3,5) One Success Kirwin attempts to hack into the camera, finding it more difficult than they initially anticipated. After a few minutes of trying to control the camera but failing, they are locked out of the camera's security system. MM Note: Since the rest of your actions were contingent on this one succeeding, I'll let you figure out what to do next.

Heroica: Glory Amongst The Stars - General Discussion
Kintobor replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in Heroica! The RPG!
I understand this maybe wasn't your initial intention with the mission, WBD, but I'm having a good time. -
Zaria nods at the stewardess before taking a moment to calm down. She placed the sunglasses over her eyes and began to pray under her breath in her native language, hoping to ease her mind. The seating wasn't ideal to properly reflect on what was transpiring around her (she preferred crossing her legs on the ground, but one scene was one too many) but she began to anyways, hoping to find guidance and new perspectives on the situation at hand. She closed her eyes, looking to relax her mind for a moment of contemplation and let the swaying of the train and the sound of the clattering on the tracks guide her mind.
-
Zaria figured this was the end of the road for this attempt at getting Soren into Engineering. She hoped he'd managed to get something, any info from behind the locked door. Part of her wishes she was there, but that would be one area of the train she figured would be kept out of her curiosity and desire to explore. Zaria nods her head respectfully, clasping her right hand around her fisted left hand and bowing in her seat. "Thank you for your assistance." Zaria was just about ready to let the stewardess head off before shuffling through her bag and revealing the bottle opener. "I found this on the floor of the train. I do not know to whom it belongs to, but I figured a member of the staff would know more." She hands it to the stewardess.
-
"Wonderful. Then I would appreciate receiving the sunglasses at the soonest possible moment, if you do not mind me asking." Zaria replied, giving a receptive smile to the stewardess.

I think alphabetical order is fine in this instance. -

The moment I realized I could actually pull of a "I wish to speak to the manager" moment and have it fit in line with Zaria's deity I was kind of sold, honestly. Of course Varuth would consider lodging a complaint a holy act, you're essentially bringing the staff of a company divine judgment. I don't mind the current layout of the rules, I just feel like there's some information that needs a bit more clarification. -
"Complimentary sunglasses?" Zaria notes Soren make his way into the engineering car, realizing it's time to wrap up her moment in the spotlight. "Very well, but I find this to be quite out of the ordinary. Is lighting normally enough of an issue on this train to warrant handing out complimentary sunglasses?" Zaria inquired.
