  1. "Hmm... seems as if though we have some options here. Shall we attempt to put the model together? Or do you guys want to move on?" Karie looks around to ensure all the parts are in the room, and that all the parts in one piece.
  2. "I doubt that. It would depend on the condition of the model." Karie inspects the model to see if it could be rebuilt, and what state the pieces are in. "Since our party leader is pilfering gold from a dead woman, Noel, can you get Pleiades back to the city? Why don't some of you boys help him out by putting her body in the box." She looks sternly at Heckz.
  3. Oh wow! That's a really cool MOC! As much as I wasn't a fan of the film, I did really enjoy the art direction, and you've done a really good job with the Ice Palace and the snow creature! I might of added more white, just to accent some areas like the columns, but it's still an excellent build!
  4. Karie sighed. She'd been in this position before. "I don't remember you being this hard on yourself. Are you okay?"
  5. Karie looks worriedly at Sorrow. She didn't take him for the kind of person to berate himself, at least not this calmly. "It wasn't something any of us could've accounted for. You did your best. That's all we're asking of you, Sorrow. Someone want to get Noel and the box in here? We should get her out of here..."
  6. Karie meanders into the observatory, looking around at the carnage surrounding the area. She shakes her head in disbelief.
  7. Write's a haiku better than you.

  8. Would someone like to do a proper review of Jeaux? Actually, Palathadric, your post fails at being a Haiku. Here, let me help you. Monk Pretzel: A Haiku, by Kintobor Bigoted Cleric Enjoys running his mouth off Surprised he's not dead
  9. Bwahaha! This has to be most appropriate gag in a quest that ironically relates back to the General Discussion thread I've seen in a while!
  10. Hey, that was pretty good! I liked it! That moustached character, the Emcee, will be showing up a lot more I imagine. I just haven't found a place to use him. At this point, he could either be a straight figment of her imagination, a ghost, or hell, perhaps some connection to the Spirit Pools Arthur likes to go on about. He was going to appear in 70 with two ladies singing... well, "Two Ladies" from Cabaret to reflect the "strange bedfellows" Karie had made, but it never transpired.
  11. Karie watches Heckz disappears, waiting for him to fully vanish. When she does so, she leans into Drucilla. "What. A. Tool."
  12. I'm tempted myself to go back and reread all of Karie's dialogue then jot down important bits of her speaking so I can have them on record, because I've frankly forgotten a bit of it, there's that much stuff.
  13. Joe, if you're looking for a list of quests, here's all the quests Karie's been on.
  14. Sorrow (Endgame) Sorrow's past is a mysterious affair. He was resurrected by necromancers and raised by them until he eventually set off on his own and found a woman named Sarah who he fell in love with. Fearing that his human like state was decaying to rapidly, he spent all of the money the two owned on Ether Cores, forcing Sarah to prostitute herself. Sorrow eventually left her, not realizing she was bearing a child, who down the line eventually result in two great x17 granddaughters, Kayla Raylton, who would later be known as Violetta the Cat Burglar, and Karie Alderflask. Sorrow remained alive to see both of his grandchildren in the present age, but would condemn Kayla to her death at the hand of Captain Patricia's rapier. With not much time left (one to two years), Sorrow struggles to make amends with his past and his sole remaining relative. Sorrow's current position leads to some interesting development. With the clock ticking down, Sorrow has a set amount of time to finish the few things he needs to do. His attitude towards his relative Karie has shifted as time goes on, acting somewhat like a father figure. Sorrow allows his backstory to be important and meaningful, without feeling as if it's his entire identity. Despite still feeling remorse for his actions toward Sarah, he has allowed it shape and branch off and create a narrative interwoven with that of the game's universe. He allows his hinderance due to age open up more interesting roleplaying options and help portray the picture of an dying character trying to make one last impression on the world.
  15. Sorry, trying to remember how this goes. Basically, at this point, someone needs to look over Sorrow's character. I'll do it, since I seem most qualified, being the characters great great grandkid. After you've reviewed the character, the next person reviews your character, so on, and so forth.
  16. Hey, this thing's back! I'll also add to Grimwald saying I love the fact he has a very distinct fear of ghosts. It allows for interesting roleplaying option and also adds depth. More heroes need to have at least something that gives them the willies. Doesn't need to be anything huge, something like a fear of insects or rats. So yeah, I really like Grimwald.
  17. Karie watches as Heckz puts on the shoes, giggling to herself. "Yeah, Heckz, a perfect fit. Reeeally brings out your feminine qualities." She turns to look Nuitan over, wondering if he'd ever met her adoptive father. "You're unarmed? You should've asked us in that case, I got tons of spares." Karie went through her small armoury, looking each weapon over carefully before getting to Grumpy's Staff, twirling it about, nearly smacking Heckz. "This should do you well. I got it on a journey of mine with two men who felt they were too prideful and important for little old me. I want you to hold onto." She hands Nuitan the staff. She then speaks to the three students. "I know you said you want to help us get your friend back, but what lies ahead could get deadly. I'm giving the three of you a Herbal Infusion, incase things turn south, but before I do, do any of you want out? It's only going to get worse from here on out. I'm trusting you kids, and I don't want to see you getting hurt." She concernedly looks over the students.
  18. I don't know, it's just as of late the game's gotten ridiculously insane in terms of it's fights. I'm not sure what I was trying to say, but I feel the reason that consumables get used so often is this feeling that QM's feel that their party's are going to, so buff the enemies before the quest begins. It's sort of become commonplace to see heroes buff themselves with everything imaginable before a battle. I'm fine with a few buffs, but when every battle in a quest starts with Nostrum, Mead, Smelling Salts, the QM generally has to do something to make the enemies challenging, but ridiculously OP.
  19. I don't think the issue is changing stats in a battle, or the fact that effects are OP, or whatever you want to say. I think it's become somewhat of a reliance on them. People started drinking the Heroica Cocktail of Mead, Smelling Salts, and Nostrum, and so QM's had to adjust for this. The enemies became ridiculously harder, so players continue to use the Heroica Cocktail. It's a vicious cycle. That and I'm against the idea of consumables only being able to be used in battle. If I'm a hero and I've been shot with an arrow and the battle's over, logically I'm going to want to take a potion and get the arrow taken out of me. Heroes are generally intelligent, they're characters who need to adapt to the situation at hand, and if it calls for taking a mead before going around the bend, it shows their ready for what lies ahead. If you're at the Big Bad's door, and your about to take him on, of course you're going to prepare yourself for the trial ahead. If you don't want your party buffed, spring a trap on them. Don't allow them the ability to talk to their opponent, just throw your enemies at them.
  20. I'm not to thrilled with the change, honestly. There and Back Again really felt like it summed up the entire journey. Bilbo's technically still "there", and he still has to go back again. The Battle of the Five Armies sounds so... uninspired.
  21. Don't do it strictly for speed though. I feel it would be unfair to some of our members who live in different timezones. I don't think it would be a bad idea, you'd just have to ensure everyone has an equal chance.
  22. If we're going to have smoke bombs as a partial flee, then why do we have the Feather of Flight? Feather of Flight is basically useless then since one can go grab a smoke bomb, toss it, and say he's the only one leaving. I just don't feel that making it a partial flee makes sense in terms of the game, since we have an item that already allows one person to flee.
  23. I'd assume a Star Wars set, to be honest.
  24. Karie closes the door as the battle continues in the other room. She pants, making sure the group of students are accounted for. "Alright, Noel, do you mind getting the students out of here? If you need any ether to summon the box or anything of the sort, I've got a few tonics on me." Karie gives Noel a tonic if he runs out of ether while getting the students home. "How's everyone holding up? Noel, Sorcha, Nuitan? Drucilla, you doing okay?" She holds her other tonic out for Nuitan.
  25. Really cool design, Sandy!
