Karie furrows her brow as she looks the feminine sorcerer over. Could this guy just leave her alone for two minutes. "Heckz, if it's so gross, do everyone a favour and clean it with your water magic, or something. The washroom clearly has a drain, and it's relatively clean, you were fine entering the women's washroom."

Don't worry Baltorakers, my next quest is not the Shadeux quest I've been working on, but Sandy has approved my next quest and it will be a quest for our newer heroes. As well, the Shadeux quest has also been approved, so once the trilogy ends, expect that to go up too.

Karie stopped outside the door as Sorsha lingered outside. Karie felt sort of sorry for the naive mountain girl. It seemed no one had really been talking to her in the party. "It's best if we stuck as a group, Sorsha. If you want, I'll stay out here with you if you really don't want to go in."

I got a quest I just edited and sent to Sandy for approval. We'll see what he thinks, but I hope to run a quest for our newer hall arrivals shortly.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Discussion
Kintobor replied to BlueberryWaffles's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I guess I'll talk a bit about the new episode, since this topic needs a boost and I'm hungry for some analyse. Mazes and Mutants- I know some people who watch the show complain about the filler, and I get that. Filler episodes aren't for everyone. However, I really enjoy Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles's filler if only because of the bizarre concepts and episodes we get of them. Mazes and Mutants is one of those surreal, fun episodes. I love the jabs at the fantasy genre in general, from the Mazes and Mutants game, to the decision the boys get to go LARPing. Yes, the plot of the episode revolves around the ninja turtles going into the sewers to LARP out their next session of Mazes and Mutants, with all the in jokes and pop culture references the writers could cram in their. Eventually the boys are teleported to an actual dungeon by the avian mutant Malachite, who waves about a crystal ball akin to David Bowie in Labyrinth. What ensues is Raph smacking Mikey for calling his Ring of Awesome his "darling" (quite possibly the best in joke the series has had) and April being put in the position of the damsel in distress. Being a role player myself, I thought this episode was both really funny, and pretty good at portraying roleplaying games in a positive light. When the boys go out LARPing, they do so because they think it'll be cool and exciting. That and for once we get a sympathetic villain with a decent reason for doing what he does. Also, my god this show knows how to do background humour and do it well! There's a scene early on where Splinter goes into the freezer, is handed a frozen cheeze wedge on a stick by Ice Cream Kitty, and then acts as if nothing happened! I love stuff they cram into the background for people to find! It's all around a fun episode, from Donnie being the wizard and getting to say "you shall not pass!", to the use of a d20 to signify that Raph's attack against the "dragon" failed miserably with a natural one, I thought it was good. Next week we apparently get Baxter Stockman trying to mutate April. -
I don't like the idea personally. I don't want the first quest our heroes embark on to be one where it's basically a tutorial/ wave encounter with no plot. It just feels like a way to get heroes to a higher level. If we wanted that, then why not just start them at level five? First quests should be easy enough for new heroes to slip into and get their feet wet so they can experience the world around them and learn how the game and world functions, not stuck doing training.

"Before we go any further, does anyone want to borrow any of my non-elemental weapons? Sexy is off limits. She never leaves my side, and neither does my whip, but so long as I get my items back I'll let you guys use whatever you like."

"That's some helpful information, Bohring. Thank you for your assistance. Should we need you again, we'll find you here, right?" She turns to the rest of the party, thinking about Bohring's words. She'd never encounter a man who Bohring described. "We know there's at least four more demonic entities in the school, potentially a fifth. I should mention that while we were in the washroom in the west wing, it sounded like something was in the schools plumbing. We've got a lot of ground to cover still. Shall we head to this student lounge? Or perhaps we should clear out the upper east floor first? We still need to find Nuitan's friend." "We still have some rooms on the lower west wing we need to search through if memory serves me correctly."

I believe there's already a stun bomb, but pitch the Mud Bomb to Sandy, or let one of us pitch it. I kind of like it actually!
-
I've got a few more bombs coming up, but they won't be around for awhile, actually. Actually, here's the bombs I've made. If anyone wants to use them, feel free to, just use them in moderation. These are meant to be rarer drops. Party Bomb- Deals 20 damage to all enemies, as well as having a 1/3 chance of stunning every enemy. Also spreads confetti and streamers about. Root Beer- The tried and true classic. Restores 10 health, or can be used as a bomb against undead enemies for 20 damage. The Root Beer does not affect non-undead enemies. As for the ruling on the whole Immune to ____, I'm not really too concerned about either option, since it's something I don't dabble in too frequently.

I'm pretty sure it's still 5.

"I do. You said you saw the man. Can you describe him?"

Karie's eyes lock onto Bohring's ethereal image, looking into a massive telescope. "Bohring the Enlightened. I must say, I'm happy to see you again! Yes, we were cut off from our discussion, and I hope you're still willing to help us. I was wondering if there was anyone in the school that you think tarnishes its name? As well, you said someone marched into the Atrium? Is there anything special about it? Anything that happened there prior that would've made it significant?"

No, it's wrong. Looks like Endgame's glitching out.

"Well, might as well go up." "Squaw!" "You've been awfully quiet, you know that, Guinevere?"

Karie pauses for a moment. She never really thought about what would've happened if she hadn't dropped out. There were nights where she questioned her decision, but never had she put much thought into it. "I don't think I'd be me. I'd be Karie Alderflask, but I wouldn't be who I am here and now. If I went back and changed the past, I would never of met you, Sorrow."

Karie disapprovingly frowns at Heckz as he turns away. "Don't listen to him, Sorrow. If worse comes to worse, I'll give you my gold. I don't really need it all that much anyways, since my rent is covered by my other job. I don't know why I decided to go with the use of magic. At the time everything else seemed so barbaric. I can't see myself as an assassin, or a raider. Black knights wear too much armour, and honestly I can't see myself lugging all of it around, and sorcerer, well, I didn't have anything in terms of gems. Training in healing just seemed like the right fit. And I like doing it. I feel calmer when I'm healing others. Even if it is a little weird." Karie allows her hands to course with the purple aura before letting it go. "About the college... I don't know. I've got enough things to deal with in my life right now that going back and getting some kind of degree is out of the question."

Karie sighs. "Look. When I went through Hawke's things, I did so with the intention of using the items to our benefit. Heckz went and pocketed the gold for himself. I gave three of the Herbal Infusions to the kids, and I intend to return the money to his family, should he have any. If not... well, Hawke probably had friends who he would probably want it going to. I thought considering what's going on, he'd want us to use what he had on him to carry on." She holds out the Bumblefan Shirt to Thailon. "This is yours, right? You might as well take it back. I have no right holding onto it. Sorry if it felt like I stole it." Karie wanted to correct him that they left the hall after New Years, but it didn't feel right. "Sure. Well, I honestly never wanted to use my fists. I just found out when I was in school I could hold my own in a scrap. First time-" Karie's cut off once again by Heckz. She looks to Thailon, wondering what he's talking about as he pulls out the lamp. What did he mean by a surprise?

Karie opens her mouth, but is cut off by Heckz. "So much for bonding time..."

Karie shrugs. "At that point in my life, I felt that astronomy wasn't important. I didn't really feel like anything I did in school was important. Looking back, it might've helped if I actually paid attention instead of skipping classes and playing cards and getting into the occasional fight. Like that time I beat on that little prick Winslow..."

"Hmm. I guess you make a point." Karie picks up the two pieces that formed Galidoor, looking them over. "What, this? I guess it kind of does, but then how did someone see all this stuff on the globe? Do we know there to be other continents on this planet, or is it some artists interpretation? I don't know, I never really paid attention to any of this stuff. It seemed irrelevant at the time."

"Sure thing." She looks through the parts, trying to remember what planet was which. "It's kind of weird, having all these planets at the palm of my finger tips when in reality they're out of our reach. You think there's life out there? In space?"
