Karie steps back as Heckz slumps on the floor, trying hard not to laugh. Maybe karma did exist. However, Karie gets a little confused looking at the student in front of her. She looked... familiar... "Melissa, right? Amanda said something about you, and if you're willing to come with us, we'll take you to your friends. We can head out right now once we get Heckz up, or something."

Karie pondered about what to tell him. Bringing him into her own issues didn't seem right. She looked over at Sorrow. Had she met this double identity and not realized it? "Well, as for me, I was born in Eubric, and adopted at a young age and went to live in Charis. I spent most of my life there until my adoptive parents sent me out to get an education with my sister. I flunked out and became a pickpocket. Eventually those exploits led me back to Eubric. I won't bore you with the whole story. We might be here awhile if I did." Karie shook her head, an exhausted smile spreading across her face.

"Really? You don't look that young. I expected you to be in your mid-twenties, honestly, and not as an insult either. Where you from? Of course, I'll say a little about myself if you do the same. I'm not that nosy. Wait... who's Syntax?" She eyes Sorrow yet still keeps her hushed tone.

Karie sighs. She speaks in a hushed voice so only Erik can hear. "No, you're right. I'm just getting a little anxious is all. We have another student run off because who knows why, and then Heckz thinks it's time to insult... well, I'm not sure if you've clued in, but me and Sorrow are related. Rather distantly related, but it means a lot knowing that despite all the stuff that I've been through, there's still one blood relative I can go to. So... how old are you, anyways?"

Karie's glares Heckz down, wanting to punch him in the jaw. She felt her restrain slipping, clenching her fist. She felt she was going to lose control... until Sorrow steps in. She takes a few deep breaths, her memory trickling back to the Eubric Forest and the last time she lost her cool. "Let's just get the hell out of this washroom before one of us gets trench foot."

It's not a bad idea. I wouldn't mind it if we did something along those lines. The only issue is dealing with an item two people want. Do they barter for it, with the items owner deciding who gets it? Would it be like an auction house with player's items going on sale in batches? It's a neat idea, but it would take effort to iron out and someone to run it.

Karie gives Sorrow an awkward look. "You... destroyed the Croise? Huh... it's just I had enough close calls with those loonies. I remember hearing him get done in while I was in Charis, I heard a lot about what you guys did back there. It was... liberating hearing he got done in."

Karie looks as if she's about to blush, but pulls up her composure and sticks to her guns. "Okay, well it needs a bit of sterilizing. Probably a lot of sterilizing. Doesn't mean it's not neat. Besides I don't see anyone complaining about your nifty new scythe, or your armour, considering it's most likely Croise made."

"What? It's a nice staff. I'd like to see you find a staff better and more opulent than this. One of a kind, I bet. Speaking of this, anyone else besides Nuitan and Noel need a heal?"

Karie gets a little giddy as Heckz passes her the staff, her eyes lighting up like a Grogmas tree. "It's so... beautiful..." Karie adds the staff to her growing collection of oddball weapons. "Shall we head for this student lounge, or head up? Anyone got a tab on what rooms have and haven't been searched through?"

Karie relaxes as the demon vanishes from the washroom. Wading in the water, Karie can't help but feel better about the situation. She beckons the Noel and Nuitan over to heal them. She looks in the water, hers eyes locking onto the staff the demon dropped. "Oh. Oh my. That is... a really nice staff. Heckz, any... possibility I could get that staff? Or if not the staff, one of the aquamarines, at least?"

"I could toss this darkness elemental bomb and deal with the spouts instantly. It wouldn't affect the demon, but that's really not our intent, is it? I got this." Karie pulls out the final bomb from her time with Dyric and the metasimian. She prepares her swing, shouting four iconic words in the process. "FIRE IN THE HOLE!" I freaking love saying that! Karie tosses her Military Grade Darkness bomb (ten damage).

"Ew, ew, ew!" Karie's face paint begins to run as water sprays from ever orifice of the room. "Nuitan's not looking good either, you guys. I could at least toss him a potion. My healing's not 100% guaranteed, and I need to reserve ether." OOC: Cutcobra, as a suggestion, make sure the students do nothing if their target is taken out.

"Oh. Right. Carry on." Karie felt slightly embarrassed.

"Heckz, Sorsha should be in the back row, since the only way she'll deal damage is if the plunger manages to dispel the Spouts. Otherwise she's doing zero damage. Other than that, it looks good." Karie strikes Rusalka from the back row with her whip.

The Foxtail, if I'm reading it right, allows the user to negate an enemies positive buffs when attacking. Per example, if the enemy I'm attacking is encouraged and I roll damage, the enemy's positive effect doesn't come into play. It'd strictly be the enemies level.

That and the Emergency Essence is half of the users health, Feunghuang is full.

I was going to say something about the Fenghuang Essence being redundant next to the Emergency Essence, but after reading both's description they're different enough to warrant the Fenguang's existence.

Karie passes the Plunger to Sorsha. "Perhaps you'll have better use for this then I will." Karie decides to ignore Heckz. She was at wits end with him.

A rather large, fluffy white rabbit hops into the hall, curiously looking up, and sniffing things in the entrance hall. It bounds its way to the quest board, moving to it's hind legs as it leans against the wall and examines the quest board. "Squee, Sqruee Eeek! <Not ah whole lot of activity it seems. I hope we can get 'nough heroes in time, or the Murkwoods are royally screwed!>" Current Sign Ups for Quest #101: Into the Woods -Deus Spiranius, Level 1 Ranger (Lego Spy) With that, the curious rabbit hops its way to the exit of the hall.

I think this may belong in the history forum. That being said, I love the techniques used here, especially the railroad tracks! Very clever parts usage!

OOC: I thought me and Sorsha were outside of the room? Karie, now seemingly in the washroom with Sorsha, attempts to grab the plunger. "Noel, any idea of students who could potentially be in the drainage system?"
