  1. Silly Zepher. You can't stop the power of love. And monologuing.
  2. OOC: Ah, thank you for reminding me! I know it may deter you in the short term, but it's these kind of actions that will help you in the long run. Honesty will get you far when dealing with stats.
  3. In terms of NPC relationships? Quest 70 is a nice, exciting read, although you may need the inn room sequences to go with it, which I'll link to when you get to the part. If you want more info on when to read each side quest, shoot me a PM. Some excellent dialogue all around in 70. I can still go back and really freaking enjoy reading that quest.
  4. I'm not saying your wrong, but I was just making sure! They would make decent Hobgoblins now that I've seen them side by side. Perhaps a specific band or from a specific region though, what with the war paint and red skin? That's what I thought with most of them: different skin tone means a different region.
  5. I know the LOTR Orcs were Hobgoblins, but when did we decide the Uruk Hai were Hobgoblins too? I don't remember this being stated.
  6. More or less. You could have "Uruk-Hai's" so to speak, but you'd have to rework the background information and rename the race. Uruk-Hai, if I'm correct, is Tolkien Elvish for... something. Blood Orcs would work. I'd also maybe rename Sergals, but you could keep the basic idea of a warring group of anthropomorphic animals and still have a working race. Also, why I used Sergals as an example is beyond me.
  7. There's no real in world equivalent to the Uruk-Hai, so calling it such is a little silly. Orc would do fine, and so would hobgoblin. You could, technically, but you'd have to fit it into the world. If you wanted to play, say, a Sergal, I don't see the issue. So long as you can create somewhat of a culture and fit it into Heroica, it shouldn't be an issue. Of course, Sandy could overrule me here..
  8. OOC: I'll give you the pun this time, since you at least put some effort into it. However, if the pun isn't spoken next time, the effect will wear off, CC. Sure, why not. Battle order: >Darksten vs. Murkwood Mauler- Crit./Hit (6x2+5=17 damage) Hoang Anh vs. Spectral Spinner A- Hit (4+4=8 damage) Kianu vs. Jazzy Cymbal Root- Miss >Deus vs. Spectral Spinner B- Special Damage (Deus is bound. 3/2-1=1 damage) Darksten's drunken luck kicks in as he fires an arrow at the loudmouthed Murkwood Mauler, nearly ripping it in two. Hoang Anh manages to strike one of the two Spectral Spinners, sending it back from sucking him dry. Kianu manages to miss her target, but Deus manages to get caught in the sticky, thin webbing of one of the Spectral Spinners, who takes the opportunity to dive in and attack. Deus manages to get it off before it has the chance to do any real damage, but he finds himself stuck in the spider's web. The party wasn't out of the woods yet... 9. I hope so! I'm dying for some Chilled Monkey Brains.
  10. I like the serious grim face you used contrasting the pun-tacular dialogue. It's nice contrast.
  11. I think you're doing a good enough job as of right now. I do like the figure, and I do want to see where you're character and his snarky puns go from here.
  12. Nope! This game's gone on for about three years, and we're jut now getting to the 30's. Of course, some players joined later than others (like myself!), so it depends on the quests you go on and how frequent you play. We've got an ogre. Trolls would be doable, but tricky. You'd have to make him not some lumbering brute and an actual character. I personally have a bit of a distaste for scrapping a character this early. We've got enough stealthy rangers around here, but the important thing is this: they all moved past that trope. If you want your character to stand out, it's how he acts and what he says, not his race or the parts you use or his class, although they do help slightly.
  13. I'd allow that, but I'd also suggest bolding the pun, so I can ensure I get what you're referring to.
  14. There has to be a visible pun stated. No pun, no lucky effect. Actually, you lose the effect if you don't say a pun, so it's up to you.
  15. Karie remembers Noel's early remark about the rogues, but it had been so long ago she had almost forgotten about them. "You said these guys could be trouble? Are the rogues all male?"
  16. "Where would the emergency exit be located? I doubt it will lead anywhere, but it may be good to know where it is at least." Karie runs her hand through her hair, scratching her scalp. She wonders just what the kids were thinking when they barricaded the door with no way out. "I'm not to good with words. Erik, I think this is your area of expertise. Perhaps you could use that totem pole you've got and get them to let us in? If that doesn't work, I can always use... some different methods..." She fishes about for her Glittering Dress. "Syrio, did that voice sound familiar to you? I don't want to bust down this door only to lead us into a trap."
  17. The text could be a bit more prominent, but other than that, I really like it!
  18. Battle order: >Darksten vs. Murkwood Mauler- Damage/Damage (7/2=4-2=2 damage) (Ouch...) Hoang Anh vs. Spectral Spinner A- Miss Kianu vs. Jazzy Cymbalroot- Damage (4 damage) >Deus vs. Spectral Spinner B- Crit. (3x2=6 damage) It seems the heroes bad luck streak hadn't left, even with an insanely lucky and drunk hero. Darksten manages to get bitten by the Murkwood Mauler while Kianu manages to trigger the Jazzy Cymbalroot to clang mercilessly. The Spectral Spinners have less luck, as Hoang Anh manages to avoid his attacker while Deus strikes his in a critical spot with a well placed arrow. The battle continues, with both sides having taken hits... "<THIS IS WHAT BETRAYAL FEELS LIKE! A TWO ENDED BLADE OF MURDER AND LIES!!!>" Murkwood Mauler Level 7 Vermin HP: 26/26 Special: Agressive Behaviour- The Murkwood Mauler pounces on the target and deals 4 damage, defying SP. The target is poisoned 1. 19. I freaking love Pumpkin Bombs ruining people's plans!
  20. Karie looks around the door, looking annoyed. "Pepe, you're the janior, is there any other way into the Auditorium that you know of?" Karie ponders for a moment before an idea springs into her mind. "Duh! We can always try the bardic knock spell! Observe, ladies and gentlemen" Karie walks up to the door, stretches her fingers, and knocks on the door loudly.
  21. That's why I use Harley's head for Karie! I can't see anyone else using it!
  22. I don't believe so. 84 was close to having a fight in a bar, but not an actually liquor fuelled fight.
  23. I personally don't like the beehive. It looks off on Ellaria. I do however really like the first one, and I even sort of like the spider helmet, but perhaps in her hands it would look better. It was first conceived as a joke item, and a few QMs began using it as such. It's generally only available through quests, and generally QMs only allow them to be used on the quest, since myself and Zepher have never allowed them to leave bars.
  24. QM Note: I changed the Spectral Spinners's special so it does less damage. I thought I'd throw you guys a bone. I'd appreciate it, but you don't need to. I already caught it, and I'll accept it. Also, yes, your power should be eleven. Sometimes you just gotta go with your gut feeling. The party leader may suggest something, other times you need to make a decision. Also, the Jazzy Cymbalroot is a reference to this quest, where the enemy type first showed up.
