Karie walks into the Marketplace, heading to Anwyl's first. She lays Sexy in front of him, and asks him to improve it to WP: 11, forking over 210 gold. (2223-210=2013) She then moves her way to Portia's. "3 Grand Tonics, 9 Grand Potions, 5 Remedies, a Neutralizer, and two Nostrums, please." "350 Gold." Karie hands the money over, leaving her with 1663 gold. With her good in tow, Karie departs for the Fields. (90+90+50+50+70=350)

Heroica RPG - Quest #131: The Kind of Law They'd Understand
Kintobor replied to Lind Whisperer's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Well... I was hoping we wouldn't have to brandish our weapons and that we could manage to talk them down without a fight... but I guess not...." Annienal mumbled. "I don't believe your boots fly, Bobby."- 416 replies

"Alright, everyone in the Fields Team! Let's get going! If you have to buy stuff, do so now. We'll meet up at the Fields entrance." Karie got up and began to walk to the market. She managed to sober up, and at least walk normally and at her usual pace, despite the baby belly.

"Well, if we need anything, I have more than enough money to supply some of our needs. I intend to upgrade some of my weapons, but is there anything we're going to need?"

Heroica RPG - Quest #131: The Kind of Law They'd Understand

"Um, maybe this would help?" Annie holds out her telescope, offering it to Miderun to borrow. "Bobby, you're confusing me. Chill generally means "cold", but there was nothing cold about the disintegrating man. Unless you mean he himself was cold hearted, or his demeanour was cold, which I can agree with..." Annienal ponders about Bobby's dialect and why he was using words improperly.- 416 replies

Annienal sniffles, pulling out a handkerchief and blowing her nose. "I'm... um, sorry if I made a scene. I.... um, I'm not used to being blinded..."- 416 replies

Apology accepted. As a golden rule, if something you write might potentially offend someone and you're not sure if you should post it, don't. It's better to be safe than to potentially offend individuals.

Still, it's in pretty bad taste, especially since there was a chlorine gas attack at Midwest Furfest last year which sent 19 people to the hospital. Attacks at fandom conventions really isn't something to joke about.
-
I hate to be that guy, but I want to see Heroica finish before we decide to blast off into space.

"Sounds good to me. You'll be member number six... and we're full! Alright! I'll go post the list." Karie goes and pins the finished group sign up on the Sign Ups for the Fields of Glory. Fields of Glory Party Sign Up -Karie Alderflask (Level 28.66 Witch)- Proposed Party Leader -Purpearl Berthadhiell (Level 20 Mystic Knight) -Althior Emorith (Level 47 Necromancer) -Skrall (Level 41 Hunter) -Matthais (Level 20 Druid) -Darksten (Level 15.5 Assassin)
-
Karie nods in agreement. "I would have to agree with you. Just sign the sheet and you'll be on the team, Matthais."
-
"No, we could do with another healer... Like Althior said, what's your name?"
-
My apologies then. Sorry for jumping to conclusions. I didn't see your character stats, although K-Nut has a good idea.
-
Welcome to the game, Rconn0, but I really gotta ask who's signing up for the quest? If you've got a character, you should add him to the Character Stats, and add an image of your character to it. If not, you're going to need to make one. The six base classes can be checked out here in the Rules and FAQ thread. If you need any help, you can always ask in the General Discussion topic.

Heroica RPG - Quest #131: The Kind of Law They'd Understand

Annienal doesn't say much, but she stays in the back row, shaking in terror. In her blinded state, noises become amplified in her head as she stumbles about. She opens a remedy and swallows it.- 416 replies

"That would be me!" Karie responds, gleefully, pointing at herself. "My name is Karie, and our current team consists of our necromancer, Althior, our mystic knight, Purpearl, and our hunter, Skrall. So, who are you, and what do you, sir...?" Karie motioned to the man standing in front of her in a theatric manner, rolling her hands in a circular motion before pointing at the man with a curious grin.
-
"I do care, actually." Karie replies, giving Lind a mischievous grin. Karie nods to Purpearl as she pours a drink for her. "Thank you! Why not a small toast to Arthur Justice Regulus the whatever number he is in the lineage, I think it's seven. A damn fine hero, and a damn fine linguist. Here here!"
-
Karie crosses her arms. "Well he's got business with me still, as I've got his stuff. I don't know why, but everyone gave his stuff to me en mass. Hehe, well, I guess I should be happy for him. I'm glad he managed to get out of the business in one piece. It's going to be quieter around here without him. It's like more and more people keep moving on. I still remember meeting Arthur for the first time... what a weirdo." Karie laughs to herself, reminiscing about her brief time questing with him.

Annienal repeats her action. She thinks over Vind's statement, and the possibility of her being referred to as a child.- 416 replies

You'd need more than tiny little differences. The classes would need to be heavily retooled, the weapons would need to be updated for the campaign, and the world would need to be rebuilt. If someone did a space variant with this system, I'd prefer it to not be just a reskin of Heroica. I'd want it to be it's own story and conflicts.
-
Karie leans back in her chair. "Do you want in or not, Lind? Make your choice, or forever hold your peace."
-
Karie took her cape and wiped her now wet hands with the cloth. She grumbled, seeing her paint removed on her hands. "Next time, let me know when you're going to toss stuff about, kay?" Karie shrugs. "First time I've heard of this. If you don't like the thought of working with a man you claim to be a traitor, move along, Whisperer. This isn't the crowd for you." Karie states calmly, motioning for another table for Lind to sit at. Fields of Glory Party Sign Up -Karie Alderflask (Level 28.66 Witch)- Proposed Party Leader -Purpearl Berthadhiell (Level 20 Mystic Knight) -Althior Emorith (Level 47 Necromancer) -Skrall (Level 41 Hunter) Karie turns her attention to Althior and Skrall. "What's this about Arthur? I haven't seen him in a long time. I've got some stuff to hand over to him." Karie asks the two, trying to catch up with the conversation.
-
Karie hands Skrall the sign up sheet. "Haven't seen you in awhile! Pull up a chair, I'll be with you once I grill this fellow." She points at Lind, grinning. "I don't care what names you go by. You could be named Table and I really wouldn't care. Alfendi Lupine... name rings a bell, although if you killed him alone then he mustn't of been too big of a hassle. That and I don't care about your sexual preferences, Lind Whisperer, all I care about is that you can hit enemies." Karie nearly bursts into laughter at the mention of Lind's Cards. She drinks a bit of water to calm herself down, looking amused. "And what exactly do you do with a deck of cards, Lind? I mean, most knights carry a sword, don't they?" Karie unsheathes Sexy, tossing it in her hands and showing off her rapier. "And... where's the proof, Gray Foxer?" Karie replies looking irritated and unamused.
-
Well, you'd better switch classes before we ship out with a visit to the Training Hall. "Well, are you any good? I got no doubts about Althior, seeing how he's insanely talented, and I trust Purpearl enough with a shield. So what do you do, Sir who hasn't introduced himself yet. At least, I don't remember meeting you." Karie inqusitively looks him over, scrutinizing his gear. If they had met, it'd been awhile.
-
"Yeah, sometimes a little too well-driven." Karie drank from her glass, noticing a familiar face approach her. Karie shakes her head, chuckling to herself. "Althior, long time no see!" Karie paces him the piece of paper to sign. "What have you been up to?"
