Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them Film Discussion
Kintobor replied to Robert8's topic in Culture & Multimedia
If you look at the bottom you can see what looks like the Seal of the United States Congress, but it looks a little off. Also, this film is supposed to take place during the 1930's, right? So Newt's outfit looks totally inline with that era. I'm actually really digging the outfit. -
Karie sternly looked at Calamity. "Bull. You told me you traded his life-force for food with a demon. If you're going to skirt around things, Calamity, be cleverer about it."
-
Karie chuckles. "Really? Oaf? Pfft. Come on, out of all the things I've been called, oaf is probably the least original or threatening. If you didn't kill him, who did? I more than remember you telling me and Throlar that you sacrificed a farmer to a demon for food. Heh, if you think this Annie is a bitch, wait till you get to know me." Karie pointed to herself, smugly grinning. "How the hell did- ugh, never mind." Karie grumbled. How did people just know where she was? "You can call me a concerned citizen who just so happens to have a distaste for demons, devils, and others of such ilk." Karie says, sounding both stern and annoyed.
-
Karie places her hand to her face and sighs. "Should've gone to the Albatross..." She mumbles. "So, if you don't worship and sacrifice people to demons, do you care to explain what you worship and sacrifice people to?"
-
Karie turned around to notice Calamity had followed her and Pretzel outside. She scowls. "Well, Monk Pretzel, you wanted to learn about Calamity, her she is. In the flesh." Karie brings her guitar to her front, fingers on the strings. "You want to explain yourself, go ahead. Otherwise I suggest you leave."
-
Karie frowns, an aura of anxiousness gushing out as she looks around nervously. "I'm afraid not. There's traitors and rapscallions in the hall, but demon worshippers is where I draw the line. I've just about had it to here with these freaky demons, and I'm not having someone summoning them in this hall. The house's can have their squabble, if Heroica falls, this city is toast, and having demon worshippers among us is not going to do any of us any good. Are you with me on this, Pretzel?"
-
"Are you familiar with the Regret, Pretzel? She found the unforgivable sod "exciting" at the mention of his acts of torture and death. She also mentioned summoning, so I can only assume she's been summoning demons, or has a desire to. She has a fascination with evil. If I remember correctly the skull on her staff was the result of a ritual in which a demon traded this man's life for food. She's probably been doing this stuff behind closed doors! I do not want, and refuse to allow this hall to turn into the Academy of Enlightenment two-point-o because some demon worshipping brat opened a doorway to hell. I'd rather be someone's meat puppet than be put through that bloody experience again." Karie announces, looking determined and bitter.
-
Karie drags Pretzel out the door and out onto the front lawn at the first sign of Calamity. She leads him to the side of the building. "Okay, look. That woman you just responded too? She's a cultist. A demon worshipping cultist. She straight up told me she's sacrificed people and that the skull on her staff is of a farmer she's sacrificed. If I know you like I think I know you, me and you are in a mutually agreeable situation that she, being Calamity, needs to either get her shit together and repent or find her way into a six foot hole in the ground. You're the expert when it comes to demons, and that's why I've come to you. You following me?" Karie asked, sounding genuinely worried. There was a glint of paranoia in her eyes.
-
"Do I look possessed to... ugh, scratch that thought and just follow me. I know a place we can go." Karie walks to the doors, motioning to Pretzel. "If you're coming follow me. I figure we'll step outside and go to the Albatros. One of the safest places in Eubric. You coming?"

Heroica RPG- Quest #137: Where the Dead Go to Live
Kintobor replied to Kintobor's topic in The Heroica Archive
QM Note: Actually, you would arrive at the bar by morning, so Vindsval's either moved on, or has stuck around. We've reached that point where wibbly wobbly timey wimey is being tracked, and it's getting harder to do so. *flies away in TARDIS* Unless Vindsval stays in that area until morning to meet up with you, which is up to him. -
Heroica RPG- Quest #137: Where the Dead Go to Live
Kintobor replied to Kintobor's topic in The Heroica Archive
Leaving with their new bounty of items, Throlar and Althior head for the manor gates, feeling tired and hungry. When they arrived, for Throlar it was very much the same as he had left it. The blacksmith continued to pound away at an item, while the woman he spoke with before seemed to be browsing items. Althior's presence caught the attention of Schmitt, the man he had talked to earlier. "Oh, hello! It's you again, sir! I don't think I got your name last time, but whatever. Heroica RPG - Quest #140: Requiem for a Machine

Annienal pockets the poison, keeping her visor down. "Um... thank you, Avina. Um... see you around, I, um... suppose..." Annienal awkwardly waved goodbye before she made her way back into town, keeping herself on the road. It was still dark out and she'd prefer not to run into anything else today, particularly Kellim or Calamity. Thanks for the quest, Pie. I had fun! I'll have some thoughts on the quest later, but it was a good time!- 559 replies

Updates will roll out for the rest of you later tonight. If K-Nut doesn't respond before then, I'll send you and him to the Manor Gates, Lord Duvors. "If your friend is good and honest, then he should. I'm certain I'll be seeing you." Stine chuckles as he begins wiping the counter down. "Sure. I'll have you know I used to handle a lot of explosives, so if you need anything like that, let me know!" Vindsval leaves the saloon and heads out. It seems most people are still asleep, and the two Decamon obsessed teenagers were fast asleep outside the bar. A duo spoke to each other in hushed tones while a guardsman protected the gate. What would Vindsval do? -

"Nope." Karie huffs. "Are the Wolfgang a Watch subsidiary? No. Open your ears before assuming." Karie shakes her head, looking ready to leave before remembering she had business. "It doesn't matter. Pretzel, me and you have business. Important business. Shall we move to a separate table? Better yet, why don't we go someplace else, my treat?"
-
"It's not a cult. We're a Town Watch subsidiary." Karie crosses her arms. "And we're a lot better than the watch, thank you very much. What I'm getting at is the pay Heroican's make varies. I'm not the rule, I'm the exception." Karie shakes her head gladly. "Lawrence Boomingham is a boisterous prick. Avoid him and anyone he hangs out with. Dyric Rone is a self entitled, self righteous traitor who thinks he's right no matter what, and I suppose Thothwick, that ignorant metasimian, although I haven't heard head nor tail from him in a while. Good riddance to bad garbage I say."

I believe I rolled for round four and five, and somehow the two got mixed up. I'll remove the bat, and I'll continue to autoroll if that's what you wish. I'm currently away from my sets, so updates will roll out tomorrow. I'm going to make an effort to update at least once a day after tomorrow. -
Karie laughs. "No, but we're just about as shady as those guys!" She winks playfully at Terry. "Pfft. I do care, actually. Talk to your buddy Johon. He can tell you all about it. He was there, and he wasn't the only... well, he wasn't the only one to screw me over. A lot of people's true colours came through that quest and his," Karie points at Johon, "was one of them." "Beats me. Sand Queen, or whatever her name is, I believe. I merely came back here, looked under my name, and say I had been awarded a lovely new title."
-
"Sounds like business as usual, I suppose." Karie comments. "Although, I more or less did my best to see the Oculoids through to the end, and I did, so sometimes I feel out of place hearing about other people's experiences. Gods, am I glad they're nothing but memories now." Karie grins, feeling pleased with herself for once in what felt like a millennium. "Unless it was a veteran of Heroica, which, it was." "Sad to say that's somewhat true." Karie comments. "The only reason I sleep in a house and not in an apartment or in the hall is mainly because I work with another organization. And that's all I'm going to say." Karie grins cheekily, enjoying leading people on.

"At this rate, I, um, personally don't really care what happens to Ervie. I, um, merely want to be out of the company of Calamity. She can go run back to Wally, but I think she'd be wise to realize that doing so would mean death for her." Annienal states to Ervie, being diplomatic. "There's a difference between being merciful and being foolish, and I want to believe that saving your life will give you a second chance. If Wally was right in his ideologies, we'd of left you behind to die, and Wally would be dead. Wally is leading himself down a road to ruin, and you should not follow him. Should I see you with Wally again, I will not show you mercy. Do I make myself clear, Ervie?" Annienal asks, trying her hardest to be stern, although questioning her ability.- 559 replies

"You bet. Someone's gotta keep people in line here." Karie smiled sarcastically. "What've you been up to, Jinnipher, besides getting into trouble?" "Oh, well, you see, I've been granted the title of "True Hero"." Karie shrugs, looking annoyed.
-
Karie snickered at all the"True Hero" talk, knowing she actually had such a title, and for a good reason.

The East Gates Party The bartender's devilish grin grows as he scoops up the purse and begins to count the coins inside. "That's Mr. Carlos's payment down. Thank you. So long as your friend brings in the rest of the dues I'll be more than happy to deliver my end of the bargain." "Huh, I see. Well, if you need me for anything, let me know. I'm going to be chilling here until I can find some work." Diane looks around anxiously before turning and grinning to Vind.
