*cough* I wouldn't call HP and Avatar Castle lines. They're in the "Licenses" category, I'd say. I'd say SW is definitive more a "License" than "Space". "Town" is called "City" now and Spongebob is also a license. So, to sum this up: Licenses All new category with Star Wars, Harry Potter, Avatar, Exo-Force. Gone is Spider-Man but it's still available on the second-hand market (ebay, Bricklink, some Toys'R'Uses). Castle Knight's Kingdom 1 through... I dunno... 5? Recently a new "Legend" came out, though, so it might re-emerge. Town City Train 9V still available but dying, new RC trains Space If we're honest, it's gone. Pirates 4+, Vikings Wild West gone Model Team Creator/Designer with a bit less features. prateek mentioned them as starter sets which is a good idea. Technic Still here, just studless. Needs getting used to, but it's ok. Bionicles That's... uh.... a theme, I guess... Mindstorms new version this year UCS - Ultimate Collector Series Not really a theme but huge scale display models (mostly SW) I didn't count any Duplo lines. hth

Finally an Austrian sale mentioned here :'-) this sale comes at a good time, too, since I was told the new Technic sets are supposed to arrive this week *sweet*

This one? 2T-Toys Beware of unnerving Merlin "flying" across your screen... *wacko*

Hi and welcome! You're not the first Canadian here, so "no problem". You'll just have to send half of your LEGO collection to the admin staff here and you'll have a great time. :-P
-
Similar thing happened with my 7900. While that wasn't a problem for me I don't how how a kid would have reacted. Especially since there's no seperate sheet pointing to the wrong part as I've seen in other sets... I do think that quality of the bricks and quality control has strongly decreased, especially since I've seen the brickshelf gallery of 1000steine member Ben which I posted here... :-( But that's a whole different thing, this here's about LEGO Direct ;-)

A 6441 off BL. Box opened, parts still in bags - can't wait :'-)
-
Happy birthday! :-)

I think there's a good chance there are. It's just hard to find them since LEGO uses the 7-digit code for the files. If you don't have some sort of website crawling tool it's a pain in your behind...
-
I'm just glad you're not my stock broker... So do I... You wish... So do I. I've had problems with 8435 (came out in 2004, bought last year), 8436 (also 2004, bought last year) and 8421 (2005, bought this year). Anything else?

Congratulations, you got the best ever Train building that's been released. Does your set come in old grey or bley? Bley would be second best only ;-)

Very much so... In dubio pro reo, they say, so I follow Kiku and welcome you to our friendly boards. As for "rules", there's a link in the top banner saying "Reminder on how to behave in here...". Click there, read it, think about it, follow it, and you'll have a good time here :-)

You're right. And we do have that topic, a contest even ;-) Most Livable City Favorite City Contest I'll post a current pic of my LIP (Layout In Progress) later this weekend... As for your layout: 12V - very nice, a true classic! The layout's small, simple, yet very effectively shows the "spirit of the 80s". I like it *sweet*

I haven't had parts missing, either, just "wrong" ones. And all with Technic sets, by the way...
-
Hi and welcome, good to see another System fan! Starwars4J already told you all the necessary things and links. There's a lot to read and catching up to do for you. Enjoy :-)
-
Nope. That would be pretty unprofessional, don't you think? Mhm...
-
Maybe we should ask master yoda to make a bulk order for all EB members interested in this >:-)
-
Same here (with a German address)...
-
For Austria I can't even apply a Promo Code, for Germany it doesn't work, for France it works.
-
I just saw 10177 on the front page of S@H USA, the set page itself is unavailable, though. Guess it'll be added soon... Edit: Hm... it's gone now...
-
Customer Service sure costs a lot, but they do keep track of orders. And there sure is a red warning light implemented somewhere somehow...
-
Nothing. It's happening, too. They just don't accept "bulk orders", they'll send you a certain, very low number of replacements only.

Who'd have thunk it: www.brickfest.com ;-)

Actually in Tyson's Corner, Virginia, about half an hour outside of DC. There's also a LEGO Store in the town mall.

My sister-in-law lives half an hour away. We usually visit once a year but not during summer cos that's too expensive a season to go. My parents-in-law do visit this summer, but they're not interested in LEGO (and they're not registered here, either) ;-)
